When I visited Dr. Jacquie on the advisement of Loma Linda Animal Hospital. I was terrified. I know my little dog had some birth deformities but they didn't effect him till they did. He couldn't walk on his front paw ( his Nemo leg we called it ) Three days after Dr. Jacquie saw him there was improvement. And he's lost some weight. From a whole new diet. I did not have a good experience here. Dr. De Grasse is no longer affiliated with Loma Linda Hospital and now practices out of the backyard of a thrift store. She charged me $50 for less than 10 minutes on the first day I brought my dog in. The second day, I literally spent 3 min in the room with her, also $50. The worst part is we heard a horrendous popping noise when she muzzled my dog and pulled her neck on the first day. She claimed that it popped the neck back into its proper place. My dog now breathes very heavily and seems uncomfortable even while sleeping as a result. I had to take her to CARE rehab in West LA where they determined there was a neck injury of some sort. Now we go to Dr. Palmer who practices a gentler method. However, my dog is still injured and it's heartbreaking that this happened. Just wanted to share my experience. read more

My family and I cannot begin to explain how grateful we are for finding Dr. De Grasse. Our dog suddenly was in extreme pain without explanation, she was holding her left leg up and crying. This was the first time in the 7 years we have owed her we had ever herd her even whimper, so we knew she must be in excruciating pain. We thought she had hurt her leg since she was holding it high and not wanting to put any pressure on it. We took her to an animal hospital where the Vet there told us her leg was fine but she was afraid it may be an issue with her neck or spine something may be out of place. After the phone call with the vet, we thought about it and said this sounds like a "structure" issue I wonder if there is dog chiropractor! Went on Yelp and were very surprised an happy that there were! We started calling and emailing all of them that had contact info. Most were non-responsive. Phone was answered immediately, to my surprise it was the Dr herself! She immediately gave us clear and precise instructions when she heard our story. Get X-Rays and a steroid shot!!! We picked up our Dog from the hospital where they said they would give us some pain meds and said to check back in 3-5 days. An pain shot was given supposedly. My dog was no looking good, when the anesthesia wore completely off 1 hr later she was crying out horribly, she would not eat and could not lift her neck. I texted Dr De Grasse with the situation asking for advice, take into consideration it was way after hours and I didn't want to bother the doctor but we were desperate! Dr called us right away and told us of some over the counter meds that would ease the pain, and to our surprise she wanted to see her that night!!!! We drove her to the address she provided, our dog was unable to walk at all at this point. We had to carry her to the car, we carried her again out of the car to the doctors working area. Dr De Grasse is truly amazing, she began by talking to her and seemingly instantly gaining her trust. She worked on her for about 20 minutes. Like a scene out of the movies, our girl did not even move or make a sound. She suddenly was able to lift her head without pain!!! She then stood up!!!! And walked to the car on her own!!! Still had a little limp, but WOW, it was unbelievable. You have to understand, the doctor did not know us it was the first time we had ever talked to her and she had 0 obligation to help us. But she is truly one of a kind, she has over 30 years of experience and love for her craft that is unmatched. We will forever be grateful. I will be forever grateful to Dr. De Grasse for saving my dog's life after he was paralyzed from falling off the bed. The emergency vet was terrible and just wanted to charge me a fortune for nothing. Once I contacted Dr. De Grasse we were in constant communication. She was very helpful in telling me what I needed to do before she could see my dog. She referred me to Loma Linda Veterinary Hospital where she has had a working relationship for many years. They gave him a steroid injection, which the emergency vet would not do, even though he needed it. I had two treatments at her clinic in Highland, which is located in one of the San Bernardino City Mission buildings. The facility is older, since it is a charitable institution, and is devoted to helping people, so they don't spend money on a fancy location. But the room that she works in is very clean and has everything she needs to help your pet. The area outside has misters so you can stay cool while you wait. Jackie Davis, the Director of the Mission is also very helpful and answers questions. My dog was paralyzed on Thursday afternoon. He had a treatment with Dr. De Grasse on Saturday night and two treatments on Sunday. He was walking again on Monday. Each day he has improved. Dr. De Grasse has followed up every day to see his progress and give helpful tips on his diet and various exercises he should do. I will be forever grateful to her. I read a negative review and can't understand some of the things people complain about. One of the things mentioned that she is not affiliated with Loma Linda Veterinary Hospital. That isn't true. I went to Loma Linda Veterinary Hospital and told them I was working with her Based on that the doctor gave him the steroid injection. Another vet probably would not have done that. If your pet has ANY issues with body pain - or seems like they can't walk... (drunken sailor) .. back legs - ANY kind of paralysis .. You MUST call her.. she will tell you what X-rays to get her. You'll go to a vet near her that can do the X-rays - give Steroid (if that is needed) and also tranquilizer so that she can adjust your pet. My dog was unable to walk - It seemed his hind legs. After seeing an emergency vet - who sent him home with pain meds and NO treatment. I saw Dr DeGrasse the next day at Loma Linda .. I was terrified for him. The treatment: 1) They took full X-ray and brought me in to see it. it was VERY evident that the neck was a problem. The Atlas (very first bone - c1- in the neck) was pushed all the way UP .. Yikes. 2) His eyes were now moving back and forth - indicating his brain was impacted by the spinal column being so pinched. 3) He was drooling .. and of course could not walk or stand. What they did: 1) Immediate shot of steroids. 2) Tranquilizer to keep him calm while... 3) She let me know he was quite ill - but she was fully optimistic - And, she told me there was a small percentage of a fatal clot being thrown after the spinal column was back open.. 4) As I held by breath - I held him as she adjusted him. I heard the neck go back into place.. 5) Within in MINUTES his eyes calmed down. She told me we'd be treating him just as we would a broken neck. We crated him for about 10 days. Carried him up and down stairs and NO getting on the bed with us ..(that was hard).. Dr. De Grasse is wonderful. I brought my rabbit here and she was able to bring back her back right leg which was atrophied. For he first visit she want you to bring in x-rays. You can just take pictures on your phone to show her and she will explain the X-ray to you I detail. My bunny has arthritis in the back, but Dr De Grasse was still able to help. My cane corso was just under a year old when I noticed one morning he was limping. I thought he hurt himself so he would recover...wrong!! It got worse over the next couple of days to the point where he would only dray himself around. I took him to his usual vet in where they didn't even request to see him in the back because they said there wasn't anything they could do for him and they recommended a neurologist. I thought that was odd so the breeder told me about a highly recommended vet so I took him in. Nearly half a day and $300 bucks later...nothing. They did take x rays but saw no damage and also referred me to a neurologist... On the way out, the nurse whispered to me "try calling this lady, she helped me with my dog that wasn't walking. She's a chiropractor and I'm really not supposed to refer her but who knows, maybe she can help". I called right away and told her the symptoms. She asked I send her pictures of the x rays to see if she could help. First thing she said after seeing them was "Those x rays are terrible. You need to take him down to Loma Linda Animal Hospital and have them done correctly. They didn't include the head of the top of the neck where I think the issue is." I took him down, they did the proper x rays, and prescribed him some meds. Dr. De Grasse was great and just met us there. She told me that he had a compressed vertebrae that was causing the nerve damage but said, "don't worry, we'll fix him." $150 to her including 5 visits and he is back to normal. Went to her for a prenatal appointment with my first pregnancy. As is common during pregnancy, my back and neck bones slightly shifted causing many sleepless nights where I couldn't get comfortable. Her knowledge and service were just amazing! Her rates were VERY reasonable. If my dogs ever needs any work done I will definitely take them to her as she also does work with animals and infants. Also, I got to choose a present for my baby from a big bag of excellent condition used toys. It was a nice touch and the type of thing that you remember. Amazing!!! We can't thank Dr. Degrasse enough for saving our 11 year old German Shepherds life. When there was no hope given to us except a $1,500 MRI and $8,000 surgery that may or may not help, we felt that we were going to have to put her down. Our hearts were broken! But we didn't give up, we searched for answers. We had no idea there were chiropractors for dogs. We called doctor Degrasse on Sunday evening, she immediately returned our call. We told her the problem that our German Shepherd was having with her back legs unable to walk all of a sudden, and after a few questions she immediately indicated she was 90% sure it was a neck injury. She asked us to get a x-ray from Loma Linda Pet Hospital and immediately send her the X-ray, which turned out to be the spinal cord that was pinched in her top vertebrae in her neck. My wife and I went there on Monday morning and she was able to relieve the pressure in the vertebrae and pop it back in place. After the sedative wore off that was administered buy Loma Linda Pet Hospital she started regain her mobility, a day later she's walking with no problems, 2 Days Later started to run. It will take awhile for her to get back or strength but her turn around is night and day. She also educated us on the proper food to feed our German Shepherd, which we started immediately. We had no idea that this so-called good dry dog food was actually constipating her and contributed to difficult bowel movements and pressure on the spinal cord. I have TMJ and she is the only one that managed to help long term relief instead of having to get adjustments for it all the time.
