The enchiladas was probably the best that my wife has ever had (as we live in California, this is quite an accomplishment). Their coffee is great as well. Finally, the service was extremely friendly. We definitely have a new place to stop when driving between our parents. read more

Since the downtown Mendota fire, they have relocated back to their original, smaller location. Wanted their awesome tacos with fried shells, but their fryer was down, so I had to settle for corn tortillas. They were slammed and it took a good half hour to get our carry out order. Tacos ended up just being ok. Hopefully it will be back to the usual experience here. read more

the food is amazing my all time favorite is carne asada french fry's, they also make amazing steak tacos and burritos that are sure to make your mouth water! The service is always amazing and the owners are always kind. the ambiance is amazing allowing them to have a grocery store as well it is very convenient to eat and even shop there ! read more

They have the BEST lengua meat ever!!! I love their meats very tender and flavorful. Rice isn't plain like some places. And I have been to my fair share of Mexican restaurants Their guacamole is always made fresh ( and w real avocados) the woman who works here is always so sweet! read more

What a great joint! Little grocery and the best Mexican food in town. I've even had some meat from their butcher counter that was just as nice as the big box grocer and a whale of a lot cheaper! Husband and son ordered large burritos. They were large and very good. I had tacos and they were wonderful. We also had 3 milk cake for dessert. Everything was great! Best, most authentic mexican food in town in my opinion. Been ordering from here most every day because their vegetable fajitas are very unique and the price is killer. It's my addiction because it tastes sooo damn good. Full bar too, cool. Little grocery section, cool. There's one hard working woman there every single day i've been in there. Man, whatta burrito! Our mutual longtime friend took my roomie and I to Delao, and the food was great! Ingredients and preparation were very good, the portions were very generous, and our food was comparable to other 5-star authentic Mexican eateries and restaurants - for a fraction of the price. Attached to a nice little Mexican market, it's very modest in appearance, but clean and bright. Whenever I'm in Mendota, I'll certainly keep Delao in mind. Growing up as a gringa in a place where Taco Bell was as authentic as Mexican food got for many, many years, I was thrilled as a young adult living and working in Mendota when DeLao's moved in. Even after having moved away, when I visit home, I still force the issue of stopping by, or bringing home some takeout. Even this past Thanksgiving. What, mom? You've been slaving over roasting turkey, cornbread dressing, all the traditional staples? Awesome, but, you know, I still hope I get a chance to get some steak tacos on corn tortillas, topped with avocado slices. No disrespect intended, but that's just how it is. DeLao's also makes their salsa and pico, and it is heavenly. I go through so many chips, but they are really just vehicles for delivery of flavorful, spicy salsa. The family that runs the place is oh-so-nice, too, which makes it even more awesome. read more

Eat here on a regular basis. Wait staff excellent owner very nice. Usually order burrito supreme with green sauce DELICIOUS AND FILLING. Tried lenqua,very good would eat again. Nice little grocery store. My husband loves the steak enchiladas with all the trimmings. Really love this place. read more
