Better than expected at this Mexican restaurant in LaSalle. Fajitas isn't the most authentic place, but it's much more than the fast food chains obviously. It has a few unique things such as a buffet, which is something not usually seen in Mexican restaurants. Has alcoholic beverages like margaritas of course. There's typical favorites like fajitas obviously, as well as traditional items like tamales. At lunch is the best time to come. It's when they have the buffet with many favorite items. There's also a regular menu to order from at other times. For sure there's alcoholic beverages. It's about $11 for a margarita. They have a few flavors including the classic lime as well as mango and pineapple. It's about $13.50 for the lunch buffet. This has a few sections including the salsa bar as well as the bigger line. Get all the toppings possible including guacamole, jalapeños, and salsa just to name a few. The main section has corn and flour tortillas as well as tortilla chips, and lots of filling choices including beans, meats, and potatoes. Certainly it's best to come for the lunch buffet. We went there for their brunch. They had a nice variety of food. Make your own tacos and tostadas with chicken or meat, and the fixings , tamales, quesadillas , flats, chicken wings , tamales, marinated chicken, rice and beans. Bistec, and some desserts like fruit. They also had pistachio salad with pineapple and walnuts . It honestly is the best I've ever had. The portions in the salad are perfect. We met the owner who is so nice and respectable. He checks all the food daily to ensure its quality. The staff is attentive and friendly. What a great experience. We had a nice meal of a bunch of a la carts items. We also ordered a takeout order of two enchiladas with steak. The interior is old school, looks like it is straight out of a 70s movie but I love it! Nothing fancy. There was a big lunch buffet table right when you enter the front doors and a bar to the right. The dining area is a bit dark and the music is festive. I like simple Mexican food, and this is certainly authentic. I inhaled the Wisconsin cheese enchilada with the delicious queso sauce smothered on top. I should have ordered two. I also got a shrimp taco and a bean tostada with guacamole. The tostada was a bit underwhelming but might have been my fault as I didn't ask specifically for any toppings. The taco was really good. Mom liked her beef tacos - yay. The bathroom is also very clean (bonus!). Parking is very convenient along the front of the building. Great place for a quick meal! read more

This used to be one of my favorite places. The lengua tacos were amazing. Notice the past tense. Prices have gone ridiculously high. I still have hope for the lunch buffet. That is always good, but I'm done ordering off the menu. $10 for a measly amount of American cheese & chorizo. I can make it at home. It's not THAT special! Update: just recently thought I would try them again because I've always loved their lengua better than the only other 2 places I can get it in the area. I paid $28 for 4 tacos simply because I asked for extra cilantro & onions. If anywhere were to charge for something like that in my personal opinion it's so cheap it's nearly free I would assume maybe .25 - .50 a taco. They charged me a dollar for each! Not together, each extra onion on a taco & each extra cilantro on a taco. I get that extra can be extra but when it's something that is so extremely cheap to purchase in the first place (yes, even for a restaurant) I CANNOT believe they would tack on such a high fee! Without telling me to boot or I would not have ordered it! Just want to make sure everyone knows they're nickel & diming to the extreme. read more

The food here is excellent. I came yesterday with my parents and fiancé for the buffet and we loved all the food. The buffet is a little on the smaller side but the food was delicious. My favorite was probably the shredded chicken, baked chicken and guacamole. I'm almost positive the guacamole was homemade. At least it tasted homemade. We went last week and we're so disappointed. Let me start off by saying we have been regular customers for about 10+ years. I have left messages with the owner regarding our problem and have had no response. When we went my husband ordered the skirt steak. He asked me after he was about half done if the steak in my burrito tasted normal and it did. Close to him being done I noticed something different about the steak, it was a cube steak!!! How do you pass off a cube steak for skirt steak?!? The owner was not there and I have tried to get ahold of her. So here we paid 17.00 for a meal that wasn't even right. Walked into this place around 130pm to order take out and have a couple beers. No one was around. I seen the cook and asked if anyone was working. He shrugged his shoulders. For 15 minutes, I was in the bar waiting for someone to serve me. Or at least see someone. The place was dead. Not one customer. Love these type of places! Felt like a great local place and the decor was old style and cozy. Staff was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Steak Fajitas and she ordered a tamale. Chips and salsa were great and I loved the spicy salsa that put a nice zing on my tongue. The Fajitas were fresh and very tasty and a perfect size and plenty of toppings and tortillas. (I posted pictures of what I had, sorry I didn't enter my thoughts in my pics) I had a large margarita(actually 3), I had a plate with Linga as the meat and tamales.! Most authentic Mexican restaurants serve "Menudo" only on weekends and this restaurant was the same.. The reason being is Menudo is served as a meal for hangovers.. So, the food was awesome.! The drinks awesome.! They offered me desert, I opted for another margarita, for desert.! These are skinny margaritas, right.? (Lol, jk) I'll be back here, no doubt.! WOW...that's what I have to say about this Mexican restaurant! We came here on a Monday because everything in Utica and Oglesbee was pretty much closed. When I saw that a Mexican restaurant was open in LaSalle I was totally for it..... I love Mexican food and the reviews were really good. Our server was Melissa and she was fantastic!! I asked her what she would recommend and among other things she said fajitas. I had the steak and shrimp fajitas and they were fantastic!! It took a little longer then I would expect but it was totally worth it.....my husband had the steak tacos and he loved them. it's not much to look at from the outside or even the inside but it is definitely a great place to eat!! And FYI the margaritas were pretty darn good too!! So to summarize: I had one large margarita and one small margarita, my husband had a Coke. I had the Shrimp and Steak Fajitas and my husband had the Steak Tacos and the entire bill was $41.00.......YES $41.00!!!!! read more

We were visiting from out of town and had a taste for Mexican food; we found this restaurant on Google and decided to come because of the great reviews. Dined in on a Tuesday around 5:00pm. It was not crowded and we were promptly sat by the host. The service was great! Fast, friendly, and my glass was never empty (they serve Coke products with free refills). The food was excellent as well - some of the best Mexican food I've ever tasted. The chips were served warm with hot and mild salsa, the server kept refilling them, and let us take the leftovers home. The prices were reasonable and there were a lot of good choices on the menu. My 1.5 year old was accommodated with a high chair, crayons, and a cup with a lid. We would definitely go again, especially for lunch. They advertise a lunch buffet Monday-Saturday. read more
