So I went on Telegraph in Berkeley and landed at a place which uses Japanese Ceremonial grade matcha. They have Crème Brûlée Matcha, Tiramisu Matcha , and the purple yam Ube matcha. It's matcha made for Don Juan de la Matcha and it's called De Matcha. On a Summer stroll down Telegraph in Berkeley I landed at De Matcha. Inside they are a few tables and you order your drink on a kiosk. Since the sun was out shining I had to get the Matcha lychee refresher . It was so good I drink a whole bucket of it. I unfortunately wasn't able to stop by the last couple visits because a girl can only drink so much matcha at a time, but I finally made it. I ordered the pistachio matcha latte with oat milk for here from one of the two in-store kiosks. I was pretty excited to try it since pistachio isn't a common flavor at most matcha cafés. My order was called within a few minutes after ordering. I grabbed one of the plants at the entrance of the café to snap a photo before returning the plant and slurping the matcha. I first tried the pistachio cream on the top to get a good sense of the pistachio flavor and then gave the drink a good stir. It was sooooo good! The nutty pistachio and savory matcha pair really well together, and the matcha was pretty strong - not watered down at all.
