Yuzu Matcha Latte and Hong Kong Milk Tea
    Maggie Y.

Asha is by far my favorite spot for fruit based tea drinks! I love their season fruit teas, but the constant stars are always the HK milk te (literally such a good strong tea taste, and not too sweet!) and for those who love yuzu- their new seasonal matcha latte with yuzu is GOOD! my partner went and got it twice in one week! And if you're just craving a sweet treat, I really like their soft serves! The matcha is soooo strong and not too sweet!

I come by here quite often. Good matcha. Rude front desk lady though. I was simply eating my fries as I wait for a matcha I ordered & she rudely snapped at me, telling me not too. Like okay, I wont come here anymore during my lunch break then. There other matcha spots within 5 mins that treat their guests a little nicer.

Nice tea house at Berkeley. They have another location at SF. We stopped by after lunch. Looks like it is a good place to study or work as I see many customers working on the laptop. I heard this tea house is pretty famous. it has nice interior and high ceiling. They also have one popup store inside when we visit. There are plenty of teas and match varieties. They also sell the match powder, tea leaf and Hojicha powder . They also have imperial Matcha powder. We ordered just cold matcha and it was good. it was not that strong. We will stop by next time to try other tea.

Perfect and quaint. Recently stopped in for a cup of tea while waiting to have lunch with clients in the area. The space is open and is great if you want to hang out for awhile and enjoy your beverage. Friendly service and a wide variety of menu items.

Oh man, if you want to try some of the best tea possible in a fast serve environment this would be the place. I've only had the chance to try the HOJICHA green tea and omg it was f*cking amazing srsly I want to try way more of their options- this may be an every time I'm in the bay type thing- rekindles my tea obsession

Great, fresh high-quality matcha green tea regular size was $5.58. Waited about 10 minutes for my drink!

Feels odd leaving a review for soft serve from a tea shop but that was our favorite thing. The teas were good but not something we'd drive a long distance for, but the soft serve was really good. Would come back just for that. It was creamy, not too sweet with just the right amount of matcha flavor. .

I had high hopes about the matcha latte here, but my drink turned out to be below my expectations. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt after seeing the chunks of matcha at the bottom of my cup, but after mixing it and giving it a try, the taste was lacking. I could hardly taste the matcha, and it was really milky. I wouldn't get it again, but maybe the teas here are better than the lattes.

Good quality matcha! I also love that there is the option to make it less sweet and with less ice. Ordering is pretty quick and easy through the ordering screen. To order loose-leaf tea, though, I believe I've had to order at the counter. The space is great -- it fills up, but I personally haven't had trouble finding seating. There are large windows and plenty of natural light if you're reading while sipping on your tea. They do run out of pastries later in the day, so come early not to miss them!

Sooo good and great study cafe vibes Drinks: 1) Jasmine milk tea: excellent with 75% sweetness 2) Roasted oolong milk tea with honey: would be better with regular sugar and 75-100% sweetness 3) loose leaf milky oolong tea leaves Logistics: -Super hard to find parking -great for doing work here, lots of tables available

Pineapple Oolong Tea and Matcha Latte
    Melinda K.

I did enjoy their Matcha Latte more than the Pineapple Oolong Tea, both with half sweetness. The service was nice and efficient. Cozy inside, but a bit smaller with less seating and noisier to sit down and relax. I didn't like where it was located because there were mentally unstable people near the front of the door. Plus, there was not much street parking, so you either had to park one block away or a few streets away. You will have to be accompanied by friends or a partner to visit this place.

Great matcha + high quality drinks! Not too sweet and didn't overpower the matcha flavor! Loved the black sesame cookie as well--I really appreciated the chew of the cookie and size of it! Just the right amount of nuttiness in there! Quick service and a short walk in the downtown Berkeley area!

Simple good matcha! I used to come here all the time when I studied in Berkeley but it's been a while since I've been back. But glad to say the quality is still the same and the matcha tastes very good!

They have an extensive menu of tea, I decided to get the black mango tea, which is indicated as high caffeine. They told me to keep it to less than 1 min steeping or else it gets oversteeped. They were prompt with coming out with my tea leaves and teapot, and gave me a towel to put your teapot on in case of spills It was bitter, but definitely has the fruity notes I was seeking. I was able to make several potfuls of tea which still had some flavor in them, so the leaves seemed to do well with re-steeping. They provided me with a kettle so I could continually reboil the water, so I felt it was decent value (since total it cost only slightly more than the average boba costs nowadays). I'm thinking I'd like to get the lychee or hojicha next time. The worker didn't mention to me if they offer milk, which I wish they did. But they do sell snacks. The bathroom is clean. They have free wifi but the day I was there, unfortunately they were having issues with the wifi. They have a 2 hour time limit on weekends, but no limit on weekdays. I appreciate that they have outdoor seating, for those who are airborne illness conscious, and also so you can enjoy nature and sunshine while having your tea. A lovely spot overall, right on San Pablo Ave so you can take the 72 bus lines to reach it.

The staff member was super helpful and friendly in recommending us different teas. We ended up picking the Yunnan Gold and Moonlight White - a black tea and a white tea. The Yunnan Gold had more of a bold flavor and smelled and tasted wonderful. The Moonlight White was much lighter but still very nice and pleasant. Each table has its own kettle so we got to brew the tea ourselves. I know tea always comes with brewing instructions but I never really paid attention to those. However, this experience made me realize the importance of brewing tea as instructed to fully enjoy the flavors and notes each tea offers. Overall, my friend and I had a great experience. We were able to try new teas and catch up in a relaxing atmosphere.

Not helpful at all and rude. Saw the fridge magnet blind box giveaway. Tried ordering on app but saw it was in-store only. I go in-store and order on the kiosk. There sign that reads "no magnet or order here" made no sense. I assumed you have to order with them to get the magnet, BUT NO ONE WAS WELCOMING ENOUGH TO TAKE UR ORDER AND NO ONE IS THERE TO ASK OR HELP OUT. So I ordered 2 drinks at the kiosk instead bc you need to order 2 drinks to get the magnet. I was hoping they'd give the magnet since I did order the 2 drinks, so we ask. They take forever to notice I'm standing there then give me attitude saying it's not ready. VERY MISLEADING. Two, the layout at this location is actually the worse possible design, it's insanely narrow. Interior looks grimy like they don't clean it. Three, pretty obvious, parking is a hassle. Save your trip coming here and just go to the Milpitas location. Better service and parking is more accessible. Oh but I will say drinks were aight and their workflow is pretty impressive.
