Is this the same hotel that was scheduled to be demolished? If it is - it's beautiful !!!! We live in Houston -- coming for a visit.

The kitchenette is sufficient to longer stays. Front desk staff weren't always at the front desk and in the back but when I went to the front desk, they noticed me immediately. But one lady wasnt the most friendly. The bad...as i mentioned i went to the front desk a few times. My keycard would stop working randomly. It was extremely frustrating. It happened to me 3 times in my 2 nigjt stay. There were crumbs outside in the hallway in front of my door upon my arrival. I stayed 2 nights, the crumbs were there upon my departure which tells me the staff doesnt vacuum daily or even every other day. The food in the morning was cold and dry. I arrived at midnight via Uber from the airport so I just wanted to go shower and straight to bed. I was hungry the next morning. The waffle maker timer is broken so I had to estimate how long is was cooking my waffles before I noticed it wasnt counting down. Lastly, there was a bug in my room...ill stop short of identifying it as a roach but ive attached a photo.

When we had our room cleaned nothing was vacuumed. The WiFi seems to not even exist at times. And the pool looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a hot minute; bugs, hair and debris. The happy hour that they have from Monday - Wednesday is a nice touch but wish it was the whole week. They serve wine, beer and food. The front desk staff who is sometimes there, are very nice and friendly.

The bedding did not get changed. I asked them again and they gave me bedding to change it myself. When I took the sheet off, I saw a large urine stain on the mattress protector. So I just took that off. Then I went to wash my hands and there was no soap. I had to go back downstairs and request that as well. They did give me an extra bottle of water for my troubles though. The room was pretty run down and clearly not well cleaned. The shower curtain rod sagged in the middle so I couldn't close the shower curtain when I showered and got water everywhere. The towels were very stiff, had a bit of a smell to them and were stained. I honestly didn't want to use them. The gym was decent. 2 treadmills, 2 electrical, and a peleton. Breakfast was not so great. I had a made to order omelet but it just wasn't good. Neither was anything else I tried. I did appreciate that the mattress was a softer one instead of the firm mattresses you usually get at hotels. And the water for showers did get really hot which I love. I booked a room next to the stairwell as I prefer stairs to the elevator but the stairwell exit/entrance is on the outside with no re-entry. So you can go down them but can't go up them. I didn't get a chance to go to the daily evening reception but it looked pretty popular. All in all, this hotel needs some TLC and I would advise anyone to book accommodations elsewhere.

We have family in El Paso to stay with, but absolutely cannot pass up an opportunity to keep coming back to Embassy. This trip was sadder than most as we were dealing with second funeral this year . A huge shout out to the night (manager?) concierge Cynthia Martin, she was the nicest most sincere person, but she truly made the hotel welcoming when we got in at 3 AM. Everybody at Embassy suites is very nice, but Miss Martin truly went out of her wayto express her condolences. We had a great time at the pool and enjoy our breakfast every morning but again Cynthia Martin really went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.

I took a solo trip to El Paso to visit a long-time friend who was stationed at the base. I searched…read morehigh and low for a decent hotel and to my surprise, I found this Best Western with solid Yelp and Google reviews across the board. The rates were affordable, so I booked it for a night as I traveling to NM by morning. It was an 8-hour drive from Austin and I had arrived late, however, I was greeted with smiles from the front desk staff. There was plenty of parking since they shared parking with the next-door hotel. The room I received did not have much of a view, but a tree. It was fine since the room was clean and did not have a musty odor. There was decor representing El Paso and even the headboard had an "ELP" graffiti mural on it which was a nice touch of character. I loved the bright lime green and the blue colors which added more charm to the room. It was modernized with a twist. The bed slept comfortably soft as well as the pillows. I slept like a baby, to say the least. Upon walking up in the morning, I got dressed to go downstairs for breakfast. I was shocked to find out that they had something that I could eat. I got a bowl, some bananas, granola, with Kikkoman Pearl Soymilk in vanilla and had a fulfilling breakfast. I absolutely loved my stay at this Best Western! It was a pleasant experience and I honestly cannot wait to stay again.

There were some things I genuinely liked about this hotel and some things that made it clear I…read morewon't be returning. Let's start with the positives: The breakfast was surprisingly good. The gentleman working the breakfast area was incredibly kind and frequently checked on guests. The manager (jet-black hair and a big black mustache) was also very friendly and welcoming. There's a Starbucks right in the parking lot. The lobby and exterior were attractive and well-maintained. You can tell someone takes pride in the property's appearance. Unfortunately, the guest rooms told a different story. Our first night was spent in a double queen room where the towels smelled strongly of mildew and the heater took forever to warm the room. For the remainder of our stay, we moved into a king suite with a rollaway bed. Initially I was excited. More space, bigger bed, huge closet, and even a balcony! Then reality set in. The balcony was filthy and the view wasn't exactly something I'd call scenic. The bathroom doorknob was broken, the bathroom door didn't fit properly in the frame, and the ceiling was actually coming down. Every time the door opened or closed it scraped against the ceiling. There was also a leak under the sink, forcing us to use our bath towels to soak up water. The biggest disappointment, however, was the housekeeping staff. Several employees appeared visibly irritated when we declined room service early one morning. One employee became noticeably upset and began loudly speaking in Spanish while looking directly at me. When I asked if there was a problem, the answer was "No." Whether there was a misunderstanding or not, the interaction felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. I reported it to the front desk, but it seemed to be brushed aside. Overall, the hotel staff at the front desk and breakfast area were wonderful, but the condition of the room and the housekeeping experience overshadowed the positives.

This was the most off the hook "room" I've ever crashed at - with two large bedrooms (1 king + 2 queens), two massive bathrooms - each with their own stand-alone soaking tubs - and in between the bedroom "wings" was a massive living room with... a full-sized grand piano?! Because it's top floor and on the corner, the large arched windows provided 270 degree (3/4 wrap-around) views. Staff was amazing and had a charcuterie board with berries, cheeses, and meats laid out on (one of) the dining tables, along with a chilled bottle of champaign. Thanks to its walkable location we grabbed burgers at a nearby craft cocktail speakeasy (The Reagan) and returned for a long, hot soak, ready for the last day's 450 mi drive.

I thought it off putting at first that our room was right on the corner from the reception and breakfast area. I figured we'd hear all the noises, but was pleasantly surprised that we barely heard anything. Our room was clean and spacious. The bathroom was well-kept. Any outside noise was muffled and didn't bother us, which I appreciate. The complimentary breakfast was great. They had diy waffle makers, cereal, bagels and bread for toast, and yogurt. There were also 3 trays of hot food. Egg and cheese omelet, sausage, and potatoes with chorizo. There were tortillas and toppings on the side. No complaints here, we will be back.
