we purchased a new construction lennar home at riverstone. our experience with this company has…read morebeen amazing. at first we were skeptical on new construction given the shortage of materials, horror stories in researching purchasing an older home vs new construction - but our worries were put to ease when our amazing realtor found our new home at lennar. our realtor then put us in contact with a lennar team when our home was being finalized, awaiting the walkthrough & then the final day to check everything was fixed prior to closing day. the day of the walkthrough we worked with seth & his team & they were very patient, knowledgeable & helpful. he & his team answered all our questions & concerns, and ensured everything was fixed that needed fixed. last minute, hours after the walkthrough was done, i was scrolling through pictures i'd taken - i noticed one of the plants in a row that was put in front yard was dying & it was fixed immediately as with everything else! there really wasn't many issues during walkthrough - mainly cosmetic things like chipped paint here & there, one cabinet off center, shower door didn't close all the way but all that got fixed & everything works perfect & looks great now. we hired our own home inspector to accompany us the day of our walkthrough just to cover all bases & there was nothing major in his report that couldn't be fixed by closing day. i can't stress enough how anxious my husband & i were to go with new construction as we were strongly considering an older home that had a lot of history in an already developed neighborhood. we are SO happy we had our experience with seth at lennar & his team. we had a recent issue with one of the light switches & they immediately scheduled a phone appt to see if it could be solved over the phone, when it couldn't, they scheduled an in person appt & fixed the issue within 15 min. seth followed up with a phone call to ensure everything went well with that appt. another great thing is lennar keeps us updated with a checklist on things that need to be taken care of to upkeep the home. it's a great reminder bc it's things that need to get done but so easy to forget. the cabinetry, tiles, lighting, shelving, countertops throughout our home is durable & beautiful. we couldn't be any happier with our decision to buy from lennar. 5 stars all the way.

Documents were emailed to me for signature without any explanation of what they were, why they were important, or even a courtesy call letting me know to watch for them. My original closing date was scheduled for May 29, but it has now been pushed back three separate times. Despite everything being completed and finalized on my side, I have received little to no explanation for these delays. Buying a home should be an exciting milestone, especially for a first-time buyer. Instead, this process has been stressful, confusing, and disappointing due to the lack of communication and repeated delays. Rachel was my loan agent, and while I understand some issues may be outside of her control, the overall experience with Lennar fell far below my expectations. I would not describe this as a positive home-buying experience.

But other than that, the warranty department and sales department are excellent to work with and in today's economy I would still consider it a good purchase, especially in the area. We were the second or third house built. We spent a good deal of time watching our home being built. I would swing by every day after they were done and look at the day's progress. I was 70 yrs old at the time we built and it wasn't my first Rodeo. I was very pleased with the build quality I saw going into our new home. That quality has paid off. After 8 yrs, I have so far not found any failures in my construction beyond normal wear, and even that is minimal. I have watched the entire area around us be built up by other builders, and believe me, they were cutting corners and doing things that would not suit me at all. The bottom line is this: McCaffrey builds a very good and solid house, and they stand behind their work. It's up to you to make a Home.

We've attempted to reach the property manager multiple times via phone, email, in person at the office and have not received a single response. Are we really going to have to go through small claims for a $1000 security deposit?? I'm beyond disappointed in Granville and expected better from them.

It wasn't easy with major rock outcroppings, a steep hill and limited access for equipment. We were adding about 500 square feet of new living space, a large waterproof deck above the living space and two additional lower decks. We needed a contractor who was confident and competent in tackling such a challenge. From the moment we met Bill, we had a great feeling that he and his crew were the ones we would be able to trust to get this done with the quality we expected. They did not disappoint at all. We had a tight schedule to fit this in between busy summer rental seasons and he and his crew worked around harsh winter weather conditions, the remote location and the challenging build site to pull it off. He even helped us navigate working with the architect and pushing the permits over the line. Not only that, we had a number of construction modifications once we got into the project and he was a great collaborator in talking through the options, being flexible and coming up with solutions that took what was in our heads and making them come to life. He was easy to reach, his crew was always prompt and he was quick to let me know if there were issues we had to work through. My prior home was a GJ Gardner home, and the quality of that home is 100% better than this one. There are doors so far out of plumb they won't stay open. The tiles were beginning to crack because of the lack of mortar holding them down. The exterior cement at the patio and driveways look like they were done by a 5 year old. There are cracks in the plaster everywhere, and I mean everywhere. Granted, this house is about 14 years old, but so was the house I moved from and its condition comes no where close to being this bad. I am now convinced his homes are all show and no go. You'd be better off going to a tract builder, paying less, and getting the same quality. Buyer beware.

After we moved in, we were told we need to file in with customer service and which we did. Later on Granville deny us for asking extra plants and it is not allowed? I walk around the community and 95% same house plan has two rows of plants, and we only have 1.2 rows finished and four spot were not done which is incomplete work and Granville Homes refused to finish the ---incomplete landscape work-----? I ask why all others has two rows of plants and I only have 1.2 rows with 4 spots undone? Granville use a picture to show us a house has only one complete row plant..I request for the house address and phase releasing date to prove it same as my purchase. weather the house is in my community and release time around the same time frame as we purchased. Granville customer service manager Ashlee Perritte and owner Darius Assemi totally ignored many of our e-mails and close the case? They refused to finish the -incomplete works- and refused to prove the photo with only one complete row is similar release phase as we purchased. I requested for proof but no answer again and again!!! Granville using a photo from no where with no date, no address? no phase of release? It is very irresponsible for Granville Homes to treat their home buyers after we bought the house! We don't want any compensation, we just only want Granville to finish the work? Granville Homes just won't finish their work. Although It is a very small job need to be completed, and cost nothing---plant four more plants. It really bothers me a lot is the ugly Granville style attitude towards their home buyer after you paid the house?
