**I do not like leaving poor reviews.** I chose to go with Dead On based on its many great reviews actually!! However.... I'll start by saying that Mike the electrician was prompt and pleasant. No real issues with his work, except that extra work was done we didn't need. I think we were charged for work that was anticipated to be needed, rather than the work actually done, which I'll explain below. One thing Mike did was rewire my backyard sconce lights on the patio under the pergola (unsure why, they were not giving me any issue) so that they were on a dusk/dawn light sensor and no longer able to be controlled by the light switch inside the house. Well, I'd prefer to control the lights from inside my house with one switch rather than having to go outside to turn each one off if I don't want my lights on all night. I mean, light bill?!?! Mike came out the next day and rewired the lights back to the switch inside the house; in and out in like 10 minutes! 4.5 stars Mike :) So, like I said I think we were charged unnecessarily for this, as well as for some other work that wasn't done. Mike quoted ~$700 for all the troubleshooting and repairs needed and I agreed to this. But my bill was for more than $900. We have a gazebo with a fan underneath and 2 sconce lights on the outside. The fan has pull chains or can be operated by remote. The sconce lights have a dedicated light switch. Welp, remote was long gone (so I thought). Mike said he could remove the remote receiver from the fan and rewire it to the same switch as the sconce lights. All fine with me, so I gave him the green light. But while he went to get supplies needed for other areas of the home, my dad found the remote (what a peach!!) and it worked the fan just fine. Mike hadn't done anything to the gazebo at this point. So no repairs done and nothing else needed for the gazebo. When Mike finished in the other areas, my dad informed him he'd found the remote for the gazebo fan and it was working fine. Mike still took the fan down (idk why, to inspect the inside I suppose) but no rewiring was done. He did cut out some excess wires, which my dad witnessed. But again, the remote receiver box was not removed from the fan, it was not rewired to the sconce light switch, and works the exact same way it has since we bought the house 4 years ago. It doesn't seem that Michael in the Dead On office was updated on the work ACTUALLY done, and I was charged around $150-200 more than quoted based on what was planned. I explained this via email, discussed with Michael via phone, and my dad called Michael as well. Perhaps more communication is needed between electrician & office. But the info on my invoice doesn't match the work done at my home. I was told a couple days ago they'd look further into this, but nothing thus far. So I won't hold my breath. Michael hasn't been rude on the phone or anything; we're just not getting anywhere. Shame really, because they did get me scheduled for services within a very short time after I called to book, and Mike did great work. And my sister is in need of an electrician for some work at her new condo. But we can't go around paying for services not rendered, now can we?? No friends, no we cannot. Counting this one a loss.....

Each globe was delicately put together

I bought a Turkish chandelier that needed a delicate set of hands to piece all the globes together and create a ground. I called around and they were local and affordable. Andy came to my house and out it up exactly the way I wanted and took the care to balance out the colors and not break the delicate glass globes. I recommend these guys before anyone else as they got the job done in a timely manner and used the highest level of professionalism. Thank you.

Experiencing a major electrical failure on Memorial Day was an absolute Nevada homeowner nightmare…read more Our main power box failed unexpectedly, and like most people would expect on a holiday, I couldn't get a single electrician to answer the phone. Understandable, but still incredibly stressful when you're suddenly without power. Ampere Electric was the exception. Not only did they answer the phone, they had someone at my house within an hour. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived it was late in the evening and there wasn't much that could safely be done until NV Energy could disconnect service the next morning. What impressed me was that they didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Instead, they told me exactly what would happen: they would coordinate with NV Energy first thing in the morning, get the power disconnected, and begin work immediately. That's exactly what happened. Patricio and Carlos arrived early and worked hard all day. They replaced the equipment, completed the installation, and had everything finished by around 3 PM. At that point, the only thing left was waiting for NV Energy to return so final restoration could take place. Unfortunately, NV Energy was completely inundated and running far behind schedule. This is where Ampere really separated themselves from every other contractor I've worked with. Patricio and Carlos could have easily packed up, told us we'd have to wait until the next day, and moved on to their next job. Instead, they stayed. They waited outside my house for hours. They repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience even though the delay wasn't their fault in any way. They had done their job and done it well, yet they refused to leave until the entire situation was resolved. NV Energy didn't arrive until nearly 8 PM. Patricio and Carlos were still there. The moment NV Energy completed their portion, they immediately restored everything, verified that power was working properly, and stayed until we were fully situated and every aspect of the job was complete. That level of customer service is rare. They didn't leave us stranded. They didn't pass the problem to someone else. They didn't do the minimum. They saw the job all the way through from start to finish, even when it meant spending their entire day and evening making sure their customers were taken care of. I am incredibly impressed with Ampere Electric, and especially with Patricio and Carlos. If you want a company that does what they say they're going to do, communicates honestly, and treats your problem like it's their problem, this is the team to call. Five stars, without hesitation. I can't thank Patricio and Carlos enough. Seriously.
