So my garage light wasn't working and I couldn't figure it out even after I changed the fluorescent tubes. I'd asked around if anyone could recommend a good electrician but still failed. So I turned to my trusty yelp peeps and after reading all the reviews on the Friends Electric, I was sold. So I called no one answered, and I hung up within two seconds. I got a phone call back and it was Kelly. She has the greatest customer service and is so down to earth and friendly and very helpful. I couldn't say no. She checked with her schedule and we got an electrician out the next day! Wow! Unheard of!! Anyways long story short, the banister was disconnected and bypassed and we put in two new fluorescent tubes that have life expectancy of 4-5 years! Its fixed and the lights look great! All up $179! The other night we couldn't turn on the guest bathroom lights. I knew they were on the circuit with the outdoor electric receptacles. It's on a gfic circuit and the receptacle was behind a freezer i the garage. I called Friends Electric at 8 am in the morning and they were able to send Sean the same day. This is my first time using Friends Electric, which I found them on yelp from their great reviews. I reached and right away I received a message from Kelly. I explained to her what I needed along with some pictures. She knew exactly what needs to be done and gave me a flat rate which I thought was very fair. I was able to get an appointment the next day the service window and my technician Sean showed up and was so friendly and knowledgeable. I felt bad because the outlet that needed to be replaced was outside and it was clearly over 100° in the sun, but he did not complain. He just did his job quick and efficient. I worked with Friends Electric for the first time to have ceiling fans installed in our bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. I found them on Yelp after getting a few recommendations for electricians. The first technician came out to assess the rooms and sent over a quote we accepted, and the installation was scheduled within a week. Gary arrived right on time and got straight to work. He confirmed everything with us before starting and provided excellent customer service all day. He also explained that drywall repair wasn't included, which was totally fine since I've done that before. It took the full day to install five ceiling fans and two bathroom exhaust fans, and we couldn't be happier with the results. We ended up calling them again to rewire our breaker box and add two separate 20-amp lines for the office and one of the bedrooms. Thankfully, Gary was kind enough to take a quick look at our panel and let us know it needed updating ASAP. After waiting a few weeks to line up finances, we got it scheduled. Highly recommend this business. Absolutely superb professional service at a reasonable price. Friends Electric went above and beyond the call of duty. They expertly installed pendant lights, two chandeliers one of which required hanging from a twenty foot ceiling, a ceiling fan as well as the installation of a 220 VAC line to a future hot tub. Additionally, I asked them to install a CAT 6 ethernet cable to a very difficult to get to room through the attic. Unfortunately, they were unable to install the line because of how the home is constructed without cutting through drywall. They worked incredibly hard and to their credit they wanted to reduce their payment. I refused. I didn't want the hassle of getting a drywall man out to patch the ceiling and the ethernet cable wasn't really required. Finally a good electrician that I can put in the contacts list! We were able to get a Saturday appointment for a FREE estimate to our job. Farmer stopped by, very nice and professional and prompt. We got our quote on Monday and scheduled another Saturday appointment while we were home yesterday. Gary texted 30 mins before arrival and arrived promptly on time. He's very professional and courteous and knowledgeable. I gave him the rundown which included a slight adjustment based on great recommendations by Gary. We installed 3x 8 foot LED lights in the garage, and 3 outlets in our bathrooms. We had Matin come out to hang 4 LED mirrors with 3 needing to drill through tile. Matin is the best - he did a great job and was nice enough to take out all of the boxes and trash when tidying up. I needed to have 2 outdoor ring cameras (solar) mounted on the front and back of my house. And I did the usual comparison pricing. Some places thought I was doing hard wiring like a business, lol. I accepted the quote here at Friends Electric and today, Gary was my technician. He's a veteran like me and we got to chatting that up. He's also from the same home state and that was so cool! All the while he's helping me choose a good place to mount the cameras and getting them set up on the ring app. I couldn't be happier with where they're mounted. The builder of our home didn't tell us they used smart switches for our overhead lighting, but I should have known given that they have indicator lights on them. I did some research and found that these particular switches usually only last 2-3 years and can't handle power outages. We've been in this house for a decade now and, "luckily" for us, we only lost a switch with the last big power outage this past summer. We've been trying to get ahold of recommended electricians but kept being blown off. I tried to fix it myself, but it wasn't working out easily (three-way switch, controlled at two locations but will only work from one location now, where the "control" switch is placed.) I didn't trust my wiring, so I decided to try to use Yelp Projects for the first time to try to find an electrician. Friends Electric answered quickly, had a lot of great reviews and had an acceptable price for coming out to our house. The electrician who was scheduled to come out, Joe, called the day of to confirm our time slot. He was late by almost 2 hours, but he would call and text updates the entire time. I didn't mind that he was late at all because he let us know. I appreciated the honesty and, to me, him caring about the job at the other house made me believe that he'd care about doing the job at ours. I, unfortunately, had to leave the house because I had another appointment at 4pm but he met with my father and did a great job inspecting my work and ensuring us I wouldn't burn the house down. I hired Friends Electric to install a ceiling fan in my home office and the entire experience was excellent. The owner, Fara came out to give me a free estimate that was extremely fair and when I asked him about options between installing the fan to the on/off light switch or just using the pull cord on the fan, even though he could have charged a lot more to install it to the on/off light switch, he recommended I just go with the pull cord since that room has a low ceiling. I knew then that he was very honest and straightforward. Then his guy came out I think a couple days later and not only did a great job installing the fan, I also asked him if he could balance the ceiling fan in my living room that has extremely high ceilings and he did so at an extremely fair price for that as well. I've called others in the past about balancing that fan and they either quoted me a MUCH higher price or said they couldn't do anything to fix it because it was that ceiling is so high, so I'm obviously very pleased and will be reaching out to them again with any electrical issues I have in the future. read more

Awesome Value and communication is outstanding Communicated with Kelly the need to install a charger inside the garage. She communicated throughout the process of getting it installed and was patient as my vehicle's manufacturer failed to provide a charger in a timely manner so she had to reschedule me as I waited for the charger to be shipped to me. The day of install my installer was Gary and he too was phenomenal. Did the job well (with what I had provided). I failed to provide the proper screws and so after he left the handle where the charging cable goes became loose and fell shortly thereafter. I had mistakenly left the proper screws inside the box. The fix was rather easy so no knock on him. Gary communicated well also, and helped answering a few questions I had regarding some electrical jobs that might come up shortly around my house.
