Experiencing a major electrical failure on Memorial Day was an absolute Nevada homeowner nightmare. Our main power box failed unexpectedly, and like most people would expect on a holiday, I couldn't get a single electrician to answer the phone. Understandable, but still incredibly stressful when you're suddenly without power. Ampere Electric was the exception. Not only did they answer the phone, they had someone at my house within an hour. Unfortunately, by the time they arrived it was late in the evening and there wasn't much that could safely be done until NV Energy could disconnect service the next morning. What impressed me was that they didn't make promises they couldn't keep. Instead, they told me exactly what would happen: they would coordinate with NV Energy first thing in the morning, get the power disconnected, and begin work immediately. That's exactly what happened. Patricio and Carlos arrived early and worked hard all day. They replaced the equipment, completed the installation, and had everything finished by around 3 PM. At that point, the only thing left was waiting for NV Energy to return so final restoration could take place. Unfortunately, NV Energy was completely inundated and running far behind schedule. This is where Ampere really separated themselves from every other contractor I've worked with. Patricio and Carlos could have easily packed up, told us we'd have to wait until the next day, and moved on to their next job. Instead, they stayed. They waited outside my house for hours. They repeatedly apologized for the inconvenience even though the delay wasn't their fault in any way. They had done their job and done it well, yet they refused to leave until the entire situation was resolved. NV Energy didn't arrive until nearly 8 PM. Patricio and Carlos were still there. The moment NV Energy completed their portion, they immediately restored everything, verified that power was working properly, and stayed until we were fully situated and every aspect of the job was complete. That level of customer service is rare. They didn't leave us stranded. They didn't pass the problem to someone else. They didn't do the minimum. They saw the job all the way through from start to finish, even when it meant spending their entire day and evening making sure their customers were taken care of. I am incredibly impressed with Ampere Electric, and especially with Patricio and Carlos. If you want a company that does what they say they're going to do, communicates honestly, and treats your problem like it's their problem, this is the team to call. Five stars, without hesitation. I had been researching EV charger installations for quite a while, and based on what I was seeing online, most installations seemed to range from $800 to $1,800, depending on the length and complexity of the electrical run. My installation ended up costing over $4,200. I understand every home is different, but the final price was much higher than I expected. Because my home only has a 100-amp electrical panel, I was steered toward a different charging system than the one I originally wanted. After the installation, I did more research and discovered that the system I was sold was available elsewhere for significantly less. I wish I had taken more time to compare options before moving forward. Ultimately, I take responsibility for making a rushed decision, but I hope my experience encourages others to slow down, get multiple quotes, compare equipment prices, and fully understand all of their options before committing. read more

Five star experience with Sebastian and Ampere's receptionist! Sebastian was very friendly, knowledgeable and excellent at what he does. He was very patient and explained everything ensuring that I understood all of the work being done. He even replaced two of my light bulbs. I had alot of smoke detectors to replace given that they were all nine years old. He talked me into the smoke detectors that don't require batteries. He checked my Breakers and we discussed the benefits of surge All smoke detectors were replaced and we even discussed GFI outlets. Ampere was very accommodating. It took 2 guys 90 minutes to complete $3700 worth of work. Re-wire panel up to latest code from previous 1999 code. Upgrade 2 smokes & 3 GFI. After they left I took a closer look at things and 2 of the 3 GFI's are noticeably crooked. To verify I put a level on them. I'm thinking for this amount of money your work should look nice like you care about the quality of your work. read more

Friday, July 30 1:00 am my AC stop working and I went online for AC technician and they came around 8:30 am. Found no power going to the AC. I called Ampere Electric company that I previously used to install my ceiling fans. They came, Martin knew something wrong with the sub panel. He called a specialist in their company and Sam De La Torre came around 3:00 pm and it took him less than 30 minutes to find the problem. Subpanel located in the garage wire sparking and he rewired and change those worn out wiring. He also suggested that my main panel need panel rejuvenating. Thank you, Sam for being so calm, while I am stressed out my dogs are suffering heat inside the house without an AC. He did not guess, what the problem , He fix the wiring and by 4:30 pm with 114 degree outside he went to the roof and re-check everything. My AC finally working. The process started off great on the phone because Brittany was helpful in scheduling and sending me texts and emails with quotes in a timely manner as well as having Carlos come out for the estimate pretty quickly. He was very knowledgeable and thorough explaining things to me. I do wish they kept the same person who gives the quote to also do the install since I already felt comfortable me with Carlos and his knowledge. For the install they sent Max who was over 2 hours late (but he did call and tell me he was running late) and installed a whole house surge protector and my EV wall charger. I was under the impression I would receive help with showing us how to use the product according to their estimate it was included but Max was unaware how to use any apps nor did he understand how to show me the charging on the car. He was trying to figure it out but could not. It was my husband who problem solved and we figured it out. We had to ask the questions about how to use everything and what to put on the app. I was expecting better customer service with their reviews and prices they are charging. I think maybe I caught Max at the end of the day and he must have been tired because he mentioned his back hurts. The communication with Brittany could have been more professional when dealing with Q Merit specifically. I believe the miscommunication was between Q merit and Ampere, but I somehow got in the middle by just trying to understand what was going on and why their price difference was what it was. In the future it would be best if the Q Merit process is explained to the customer so we can follow the process and not complicate things. As for the work they are providing I can't review that since I just got everything installed, but I truly hope it's good quality work. I believe it is due to their high reviews.
