After a dental hygienist instructed by Dr. Drake, I think, put my permanent crown on, I began to have excruciating pain. I came back in for x-rays and was told this was normal. A few days later, there was no improvement, so I asked for pain medication. After this didn't work, I went to LR Family Dental, and was immediately told that the tooth under the new crown had abscessed. It was the worst pain I have ever felt. I have to have a root canal now. Dr. Drake offered to replace the crown, but I will never return there. read more

Doc Dean and her staff are amazing! I've been to several dentists and a prosthodontist regarding my chipped front teeth, They all wanted tens of thousands of dollars in needless orthodontics and dental procedures. Dr. Dean only will do what needs to be done. Staff and Doctor are great on exams, cleaning, and she fixed my chipped teeth for a reasonable amount of money. Great experience everyone was very nice and took care of everything I asked for.. Quick details... So I'm only in town for work. I must of had a fracture in my tooth cause I chipped it when flossing, Dumb me bit down and wedged the chip in between my teeth.. Dr Dean schedule me the next day and took care of it. This may sound weird but this happens a lot when you travel. The #1 thing for me was that she understood that I was only in town for business and I have a dentist at home. I only needed help with this one issue. She didn't try to order more X-rays or up sell me on anything. She did check to make sure nothing stood out (I use tobacco) or looked off. I am a self-proclaimed dentist-phobe. I went to Dr. Dean after having read the reviews on Yelp and I have nothing but positive things to say! I saw Dr. Dean for a check-up and cleaning. The staff at Dean Dental is amazingly friendly and really put my at ease (my blood pressure was through the roof!). Dr. Dean herself is very gentle and talked me through every step. She looked at x-rays with me and explained what she was looking at and talked me through every step of her cleaning and check-up process. I had a crown that pulled off, so I set an appointment here because it was around the corner from my house. When I first walked in I noticed a little kid that was running around on the loose behind the receptionist desk. The receptionist was trying to talk on the phone but the kid was trying to also talk to her. I am assuming this kid is the owners daughter, who always seems to be there. That is just a sign of the unprofessional behavior. The real reason why I am giving them a bad review is because I came in to have the crown fixed. They fixed it three days later it not only pulled off but broke when I bit down on it. The crown cut up the inside of my mouth. I scheduled another appointment but had a meeting come up so I asked to push back the appointment a bit. The receptionist said no, told me there would be a charge to reschedule, was rude, unfriendly, and uncaring. I told her what had happened, that they didn't fix it right in the first place. Her response was "not our fault, things happen". I have had a lot of dental work done at several places. This place is insane. read more

I have been a patient here for a few years now and have had nothing but good experiences. After being a poor college student, and then having trouble finding a good job, I had not seen a dentist for an embarrassingly long time. Once it occurred me the that the severe pain I was feeling in my head might be a tooth (after being misdiagnosed with TMJ by one of those urgent care clinics in a shopping center), I went to Dr. Dean, an she found a HUGE cavity in one of my wisdom teeth. She didn't shame me about neglecting my teeth for so long, and easily pulled out the bad tooth. The bill wasn't too bad either. I really should have gone much sooner. Once I got a good job with dental insurance, I went back to Dr. Dean to start getting caught up on dental care. After so much neglect, I needed a lot of work with more wisdom teeth out, fillings, and deep cleaning for periodontal disease. It all went just as smoothly and painlessly as the first time I went there. Now I've finally "graduated" to just going there for my regular cleanings every six months. The people at this dentist office seem morally opposed to you feeling any pain at all. Just the slightest twitch and they inject some more. If I have any complaint at all, it's that they numbed me so much that I couldn't feel that entire side of my head for hours! I also second another reviewer that they have great taste in music. They're usually playing pop songs from the 70's and 80's. Sometimes the staff starts singing along. read more

Dean dental is fantastic! I went in just for a cleaning. The staff was very nice and helpful in the office and on the phone. They were detail oriented and truly cared about my teeth and my health. Dr. Dean is the best in town. I have been with her for a few years now and she is so kind, both with her patients and to their teeth. I've been to offices that try to overcharge, or you feel liked you're being rushed in and rushed out. That is not this office. I refer everyone I know to her, even though I was hesitant at first because I know once the secret is out it's going to be hard to get an appointment. Office has nice staff but I was charged a certain amount and when I check my processed claims with my dental insurance, I was owed over $100. Its not about the money but they are a provider. I paid as I should and so should they. Ive contacted them about 2 weeks after that procedure asking for the reimbursement but they stated that the insurance has not processed. I sent them over the proof from insurance and even called my insurance, they told me that the claims have been processed successful and the recipient has been paid. That was done in September and I am still waiting. read more
