For some reason, my original orthopedic hospital referred me to Dr. Parsa, and unfortunately, my…read moreexperience was very disappointing. I waited over an hour past my scheduled appointment time, and several other patients in the waiting room were also complaining about the long wait. It seemed like the office was consistently overbooked. When I was finally called back, it became clear that my MRI had not been reviewed beforehand. I had recently torn my ACL and had a lot of questions because I didn't understand the process, the surgery, or what the next steps would be. When Dr. Parsa came in, she seemed irritated by my questions, was very abrupt, and barely explained the procedure. The appointment felt extremely rushed, and she was in the room for maybe five minutes before leaving. I assumed the appointment was over and started walking out. As I passed her in the hallway, she was looking at my MRI on a computer and called out, "Oh yes, I see you tore your meniscus too." I was honestly shocked that this was being mentioned to me casually in the hallway as I was leaving instead of being discussed with me during my appointment. I walked out feeling completely confused about my diagnosis and what I was supposed to do next. I ultimately switched surgeons and went to the Center for Advanced Orthopedics in Lakewood, and the difference in care has been night and day. My new doctor reviewed my MRI beforehand, took the time to explain my injuries and treatment plan, answered my questions, and I've been seen on time for my appointments. When you're dealing with something as stressful as an ACL and meniscus injury, you want a doctor who makes you feel informed and comfortable with the process. Unfortunately, that was not my experience here.

Dr. Parsa did a partial meniscectomy on my right knee in the Spring of 2024. It was supposed to be…read morea minor procedure with a full recovery. Two years later my knee is in worse shape and I have more pain than I did before she operated. In hindsight, I wish I would have gotten another opinion or asked more questions. Dr. Parsa was supposed to simply trim a torn meniscus that was giving me discomfort. Instead, she removed most of the cartilage leaving me with more pain than I had before. I found Dr. Parsa to be friendly but impatient and I felt like I was rushed through post opp appointments. She continued to tell me to be patient with my recovery, and offered few solutions. I ultimately got a second opinion from another surgeon who told me the surgery I had left me with no real options other than to change my lifestyle. Dr. Parsa may be a wonderful surgeon and great option for you, but make sure you discuss every option with her before you operate, as I feel like she made decisions without discussing with me which has left me worse off and very frustrated with the result.

We had a particularly unique and difficult situation when our 35-year-old son with special needs had a traumatic fall and broke his nose in two places in October 2024. His nose was visibly smashed and his breathing was badly impacted. He ultimately needed a rhinoplasty and septoplasty. After an initial consultation with another ENT left him frightened and unwilling to consider surgery, we spent nearly a year searching for a surgeon with both exceptional skill and genuine compassion. Dr. Leslie Irvine lived up to our expectations in every way! Dr. Irvine put our son so much at ease that he requested the surgery himself. He went into the hospital in an amazingly optimistic frame of mind, even during pre-op. His recovery was easier than expected, though understandably uncomfortable until the stents were removed a week later. His surgery was in October 2025, but I waited four months to write this review so we could see the results after most of the swelling resolved. We are amazed with the results! His nose looks fantastic, his breathing is greatly improved and this procedure has helped him regain his confidence. We were so impressed with Dr. Irvine's skill that six weeks ago I underwent an in-office procedure with her called VivAer to improve my own breathing. It took only about 20 minutes, strengthened my nasal walls, reduced my turbinates, and required no downtime at all. My breathing is dramatically better, I'm sleeping more soundly and exercising feels easier. We feel extremely fortunate to have found Dr. Irvine and could not recommend her more highly. If you're on the fence about fixing your nose... just call Dr. Irvine.

I was referred to her by the Doctor from the Hoag ER who checked me out. She was very nice, understanding and very helpful in everything she checked my eye and nose out. On my 2nd visit she referred me to an Eye Specialist and then she took care of my fractured nose by realigning it back to as close as she could. She was awesome talked me through everything she is very knowledgeable and has a calm soothing voice. Thank you to Dr Leslie Irvine for taking care of me.
