It made the process surprisingly gentle--it was the most comfortable experience yet! She numbs you beforehand, and there's numbing in the shot, so the whole process felt amazing. I came to the clinic for surgical clearance, hoping to just be in and out after receiving my CBC…read morepanel and a quick exam, but what followed was nothing short of a nightmare. The doctor demanded to do an EKG which was not required by my surgeon for clearance and I agreed to it because I figured better to be over prepared and know my results than not know. The office assistant (unclear of her medical training background, but I know every time she's drawn my blood she's really really struggled) placed the leads indiscriminately across my chest with little care or concern for accuracy and did the test. I waited and waited and waited and I overheard loud panicked chatter around the corner about my results. After a very long wait the doctor came in and told me I had had a silent heart attack and I was in poor health and she couldn't clear me for my surgery because of it and I needed to see a cardiologist immediately. Despite only being 28 years old, and not the obvious heart attack patient, I obviously took what she said very seriously and booked to see the cardiologist she recommended the next morning. Her team struggled to send a global referral that worked with my insurance, like they didn't know how to do it, and so I spent even more time waiting and waiting and waiting in the cardiologist's office. When I was finally seen, they preformed an EKG to confirm the results from Dr.Ghazi's office. The cardiologist immediately told me that the test had been preformed incorrectly at Dr.Ghazi's office and absolutely nothing was wrong with me, I had not had a heart attack, and my EKG was perfectly healthy. I was obviously rubbed the wrong way, but still wanting to just push through and just get the surgical clearance I need and move on. Today I received a call from my surgeons office stating that Dr.Ghazi's office called them and DEMANDED to see my whole history, notes, records and any documents they had, and were very rude to the staff for refusing to send them without my consent. Ever hear of HIPPA? The nurse at my surgeons office said that never in her whole career has a PCP even asked to see this confidential information let alone brutally demand it. What does she need to see it for? Either my labs are good enough to clear me for surgery or they are not. My labs speak for themselves and reading a record of the consultation i had with my surgeon will not change if it is medically safe for surgery to be performed. If they think my surgeon is just going to send out my paperwork willy nilly then how are they handling my private medical information at this office? This was the cherry on top for me. Also- bonus fun fact, when I did intake at a therapists office last year, the office manager told me he had also seen Dr.Ghazi as a PCP for some time and recommended that I find a new doctor because she had misdiagnosed him with BLOOD CANCER. This office is misdiagnosing everyone in our community with SEVERE health ailments, and I do not understand the motive. I should have listened to that office manager but I figured I could get my surgical clearance with little issue. This is what happens when they let the children who should have been left behind enter the medical field.
