I can't say much about the doctors but the staff that works here are rude, condescending and seems kind of racist that's just my opinion

I have been taking my teacup dogs here for years. I find it disheartening the reviews I have read as I personally have NEVER had a bad experience here. Dr Suarez has always treated my pets with the utmost care and due to their size, he has always called me immediately after their spayings and dental work. In the past I found their prices pretty reasonable, although yes their office visit fee has gone up (like everything else) I have always had the option to decline excessive vaccines, I have had the ability to request a script to get medications elsewhere (the are always more expensive from the vet) and the staff has always been very professional in the check-in process and at check-out. Just recently as I waited in the reception there was a family there putting their very old dog to sleep and they OPTED to NOT stay in the room although they were encouraged to do so. In recent years their prices have gone up but so does everything else. You cannot expect prices to remain the same on anything. All in all I love this veterinary office even after going to others and I have found others much more expensive than Debary Animal. read more

DO NOT USE THIS VET! We have lived in Debary for 25 years and used Debary Vet clinic for two of our dogs. We were only mildly satisfied but stayed out of convenience of location. However, when our elder dog recently had a severe seizure we asked to bring him in for an emergency visit during normal business hours but they could not see him despite being a long term client. Now we adopted two new puppies and tried to arrange appointments and explained that we had been long time clients and that they needed their puppy shots on schedule; the receptionist was extremely rude, actually hung up on me, and so I called back to find out why she hung up, she said she thought I said something like "screw it" that I emphatically did not say and she said the call was recorded and, said if you check the recording you'll hear that I did not say anything like that and then she interrupted me and said "we don't need your business" and hung up again. Horribly over priced. I've been taking my two dogs here for years (mind you they're bigger dogs) and they have severely upped their prices to be quite literally unaffordable in this economy. They do not care about your animals well-being only the money that you can bring in. not to mention the medications, which they wanted to charge me $80+ can be found at publix and or walmart for no more than $20. find a better clinic if you have bigger dogs because this place is not price friendly. read more

On 3/24/20 I brought my cat to be examined at DeBary Animal Clinic by DVM Suarez. Was satisfied initially with the visit. Was given an estimate for spaying which was very expensive. Brought the kitten to another Veterinarian for another estimate. During the cats exam the Veterinarian immediately picked up a Grade 2 Heart murmur. I'm furious, texted DVM Joe Suarez and informed him of the Grade 2 Heart murmur found on the same animal he said,' had a clean bill of health ' Checked the chart paperwork on the cat and DVM Suarez stated on the health check for the heart-NORMAL-NO MURMUR. Asked DVM Suarez for partial payment back of the $172.00 that was paid for a MISSED DIAGNOSIS. DVM SUAREZ RESPONDED TO ME: DO NOT CONTACT MY OFFICE AGAIN. During such troubling times now you would not think this WOULD OR COULD OCCUR..ABSOLUTELY NO COMPASSION FOR THIS ANIMALS WELL BEING. read more

Overpriced. The worse vet service I have encountered in more than 30 years. I moved to Debary in 2000 and started using this vet for my two dogs and two cats. I had a bad experience with a service provided to one my dogs; however, I assumed that it was one time situation. Since I live less than one mile from this Vet I decided to stick with it. My Mistake!!! I just took my cat for an annual wellness, and they told me that the cat needed a dental cleaning. I just got an estimate in the mail for the service. They want to charge me $1,800 for it. They listed 34 items on the estimate. Amazing. Even If I would go ahead with the service I have no confidence that they might call me during the cleaning and let me know that the cat needs one or more teeth pull. Another $500 to $1000. A few years back, our beloved beagle of sixteen years had a stroke and needed to cross the bridge. The office refused to let me be with my pet during the euthanasia; a dreadful war to treat a pet owner (and the pet). I've not been back since. They did say I could return after 4pm to view the body. read more

Cancel the appointment at the last minute and this is not the first time. They are the worst with appointments keeping. but the one time I forgot an appointment had the nerve to charge me $25.00. They will be getting a bill from me $25.00. read more

As new customers they took us in on the same day. They did a physical examination of our 15 yr old cat and recommended blood work. And gave us a written statement of the cost of the blood work thus leaving the decision to us whether we'd get the work done or not. I explained I couldn't afford that much right now but we could very soon. They understood. We brought her back the next day when we had the money. I am so impressed that they took the time and called to ask me how my cat was feeling! When the tests came in the next day we were called and told the results were good. She won't over some recommendations the vet had. And answered some questions that didn't have to do with my cat specifically. The vaccination packages may seem expensive but the vacs are 4yr vacs. You won't need to do annual vacs for 4yrs ...awesome for me. And it breaks down to be regular prices in the long run. They truly care about the animals and owners. I am impressed and a customer for the life of our pets. read more

I had a 9:40 appt, when I got to the vet with my dog they tell me that they tried to call me because my appt was at 8:40, I said my appt was not for 8:40 it was for 9:40 they then tell me well the dr is out today with covid, which fine I get it people get sick however my dog still had a standing appt so the disrespectful girl tells me well you can see the other vet but you will have to wait a while. Debary clinic can't get their stories straight and then want to proceed to lie to you and make you think it was your fault by telling you a different appt time. Little did they know I have the paper work with the appt time on it and it clearly says 9:40! I will not be taking my dog back there and will make sure all of my friends and family know how UNPROFESSIONAL they are. read more

I have taken my dogs here for about a decade, as have my parents. I drive a decent distance to bring my dogs here because of their expertise, compassion, and up-front approach (I am very confused by reviews about hidden fees because that has NEVER been an issue for me or my parents). Everyone at DeBary Animal Clinic loves my dogs, and that means the world to me. I always know I am in the best hands here. They go out of their way to follow up, return calls and emails, etc. I've taken dogs for routine visits, major surgeries, and sadly even end of life care. 10/10 recommend in every scenario. read more

The customer service is terrible, not even allowing entrance to the building for two years, now requiring masks for everyone despite the fact that mask requirements are not in place in any other business, and despite my letting them know I cannot wear a mask ( the response was "you cannot do business here." ) Besides, my animal's issues weee never dealt with. I wouldn't take my dying dog to these people. Always hidden costs, and never a straight answer. People beware!!

They have availability and get you in quick, but so many folks work there that you see different ppl everytIme you go. Seems overpriced and an upsell kind of place where they have an assistant come in separately to confirm charges before moving forward. They are nice until you start questioning if all the charges are necessary, then you feel a bit like a number. read more

DO NOT take your pets here! This vet could not tell the difference between a cataract and a detached retina! THERE WAS NO CLOUDINESS and he had said the eyes were clear and healthy 2 weeks earlier at the well dog visit. They charged almost $600. for a limping 2 year old dog and offered no diagnosis except it was not a dislocation or break. But the $600 was for diagnostics...... The office staff was rude and withheld items when I went to get my dog's medical records..... LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!! read more

Yes, the staff at DAC do a great job at providing their veterinary services. But, to not set them apart for their sincerity would be missing their strength. When you bring your pets here you know your animals are in a place where every person truly loves our pets. Each animal is treated as if it is one of their own. I highly recommend their services and can say that not only have they taken excellent care of my pets but my mother's too. read more

Negative! I would not recommend this place to for either Veterinary services or boarding. There are many choices in this area and this place should not be even on you're list. The office staff is nice, however the boarding services are suspect and the Vet is arrogant and rude as well as untrustworthy. A (1) "Star" rating is to high for this place. read more

I absolutely love this clinic! Doctor Joe and his entire staff was so good to me and my puppy! Kaizer was given treats from the moment he got into the room and even sent us home with a goodie bag for him. The entire staff showed much love to my puppy and thoroughly examined him. I had told the staff how I was unhappy with the last vet I had visited and they very well made up for it! The staff took us on a tour of the clinic, the doctor kept saying how cool he thought my dog was, he took pictures of and with Kaizer and they even sent the pictures in a card in the mail! I would recommend this clinic to every pet owner! read more

Dr. Joe and staff are awesome. They really care about your pets. I won't take my pets anywhere else. They call regularly post visit to check on your sick or injured pet. Prices may seem high but they actually do more than other clinics would do. read more
