Great Location, SUPER CLEAN but the service sucks. If you are looking for a 35 minute mani pedi that sucks, yes this is the place for you. The gentlemen scolded me for not knowing the difference between hard gel mani and hard gel. My cuticles were not completely done and nail polish missing on edges. I asked him to fix it and he said YES sternly. My pedi was basic and both of the processes even with the fix was no longer than 35 -40 mins. The people could be nicer and should be nicer. It's not my favorite place and they didn't do a flawless job- but I went in and got my regular gel manicure that I always get. I was just lazy so I popped in here since it's closer to my house than my regular place. I was seated right away so A+ for that.... but the guy that did my nails was a smoker and must have just had a smoking break because he was stinky :( On top of that... his hands were less than pretty. I get that when you work on nails w/ acrylic and a million different shades of nail polish that you might not have a fantastic manicure but putting on some lotion and filing down your nails would make me more comfortable. If you know how to take care of you own hands then I'll have more confidence that you can take care of mine. The last critique that I have (and this just may be me) but they had the television turned onto one of those Deadliest Catch type shows and while I wanted to relax and pamper myself I was also stuck watching a bunch of fish getting their heads chopped off. I've been to Debon several times because it's convenient. The quality depends on which technician I end up with; some are much better than others. Two recent experiences, however, have convinced me that I won't go back. First, about two months ago, while getting my regular pedicure, I asked about having my fingernails done. I just wanted a basic manicure with clear polish; nothing fancy. When all was said and done (and I wasn't really grasping what the technician was saying), I had a gel manicure; it looked great for about two weeks. Then, it started to grow out. I couldn't get it off my nails, and over the next few weeks, my fingernails looked worse and worse. They started to chip, and the gel started to peel away. It was awful. A technician friend advised filing it off, as there is nothing that will take the gel off. Ugh. More recently, I took my daughter for a pedicure. It was a busy, pre-holiday day, lots of women getting their nails done. We opted for the special pedicure; usually when she's with me, she gets the leg massage, the heat wrap, and her toenails done. However, her technical spent all of five minutes with her; clipped her nails, painted them, and then had her go sit down. It took me another half hour to finish. Not only did my daughter get cheated out of a decent holiday pedicure, but we were charged a full $20 to get some color slapped on her toes. Convenient it may be for us to frequent Debon, but it won't be happening anymore. read more

This place is horrible! Don't expect to have any sort of customer service. DIRTY, RUDE and overpriced!! The owner only speaks to you if you're carrying a Louis Vuitton bag and Asian. She waves her diamond bracelets around and talks bad about her husband as loud as possible. Like anyone cares. You will not get a greeting or massage or anything but chopped off nails! So RUDE! I've tried this place every two weeks for 3 months and was satisfied...I wouldn't say they were good or bad, just ok and reasonably priced--and very convenient as I live close by. BUT my last gel manicure by Thi caused ingrown fingernails. She cut the sides of the nail with the cuticle trimmer, and didn't stop even when I asked her to after expressing clearly that she was hurting me. Seriously! They still hurt!!!!! My fingers are bleeding 4 days later and I am having to soak my nails and apply antibiotic ointment to them. Unfortunately my other experiences here are not enough to make me come back. Of the 8 mani/pedi's I've had here, I think I would say only 2 were above average, and the rest I left feeling disappointed. I guess I kept trying because they were so close, I also agree with other reviewers...they are kind of rude, the owner, Cindy, talks on the phone while she is doing your mani, and just gets up and walks away. This place is close to my house and I usually go on a Saturday morning. I've been going for almost a year, however, the past few times I have been, before I even make it to my car my nails are ruined. Also, there are times on Saturday monrings when I feel rushed or if I pay for a special pedicure, I don't feel like I am getting the whole experience. So yesterday when I needed a pedicure and eyebrow wax asap, I was trying to think of other places in the area to go to. I knew places would be closing soon, so I headed over. I think it was a sign to meet Nancy. Although Nancy said she is only off on Mondays, I've never had her as a technician. She was great! Although they were closing, I didn't feel rushed, I could actually sit and relax! She also did a fantastic job with my eyebrows. She said sure, no problem. I came right at 3:15. There were two ladies working who didn't have clients. My girls sat down. Then all of a sudden another customer came in. And one of the employees went to work on her. So now, instead of me sitting here while both my girls are getting done at the same time, I'm sitting here having to wait for one manicure and pedicure, and then another. They said oh someone had to leave for an emergency. But of course they didn't tell me that until they already started working on one of my girls. Will never come back. That is a huge disrespect for my time. Now I see why this place was completely empty when I walked in and the place across the street was so busy they couldn't take us today. I will never come back. It was nice, I saw the liner for the pedicure tubs thought okay, this place seems to be good and sanitized for a Vietnamese place... And we kept going back and forth, my daughter kept looking at me to tell me to just be quiet, it's ok! Lol... So I let it go and stop arguing with her. Now, my turn I tell the guy(I think he's the owner) I just want a basic gel manicure..super simple, this is the color I want and I want one of my nails to be LOOSE glitter not, polished glitter! Same thing, he started arguing back with me saying nail polished glitter and the LOOSE glitter is the same thing!! I said No, it's not and going back/forth with him but, because it's my nails and I'm paying for this service I don't want the freakin generic nail glitter polish... I'm like freakin tripping out cuz I thought this was a "Service" not take what you get but, your paying for this! I'm beyond irritated, then as he coloring my nails, he gets my finger that I wanted the LOOSE glitter on and he sticks my whole finger in the glitter bowl! I just had to laugh, hold my tongue in, and wait for this idiot to hurry up with my nails... The seconds was dreadful sitting in their seats! I went in for a pedicure and left disappointed. I was asked to take a seat in a chair for my pedi and the water was freezing. When asked for it to be hotter, I was told they would be right back and 5 min later I was still sitting there (with my feet now out of the water because I was cold). When they finally got to my pedicure it was rushed and the menu of services for a pedicure was like a dinner menu. They seemed to be more worried about getting me in and out rather than if i was happy with the service. Also, you can not add gratuity to your credit card so if you don't have cash... Too bad! I went one other time to get nails put on a few years ago and my nail was crooked. When asked about it, the employee told me my finger was crooked and not the nail. The woman who runs this salon is terrible to her employees and they obviously work in fear of her. I just left the salon and listened to her scream and berate her staff in front of all the customers because someone left without paying. Understandably this is upsetting but she ranted for 20 minutes making everyone so uncomfortable. I went here last week to get a fill and I didn't want pink and white anymore. I asked for the whole nail to be pink and she did pink and white anyway so I didn't say anything and let it go. A week would be today and my nails were lifting and breaking. I came back to show them and the guy was arguing with me and I was being extremely polite. He offered to fix my nail that was broke and I politely said can you plus redo a full set. He had a customer waiting so he moved me over to soak my nails and the only lady in there that's always extremely nice and polite helped me soak off my full set. I told her I wanted a nude color and my set to be longer but he was doing my nails so it was not communicated that I wanted that. He finished his client and asked me to move over to where he was so he could do my nails. He was fast but was probably only fast because he wanted to get it over with. Not nice at all and was just annoyed that he had to redo them. Best part of this whole shitty experience was he charged me $35. "I'm only going to charge you $35" really pretty sure it should have been comped since it hadn't even been a week and my nails were falling apart. I paid $40 my last visit. So thanks for the $10 discount. I will never return there again. I'm a restaurant manager and when my customer doesn't like there meal, I'm not going to make them pay for it. You guys need to learn consistency and manners. Unbelievable. Worse part is, I live walking distance and it would have been nice to have a regular spot to get my nails done but I will not be back. read more

I have given this place a few chances with pedicures and manicures and have NEVER left happy! They are rude and pushy, they cut your nails down all the way to your skin so when they start to file, they are just filling your skin causing you to bleed! Don't expect any type of massage on legs or hands, it's pretty much just them literally slapping lotion on you for 20 seconds! When that torture is over, they rush you up to the front to pay, never once stating that tips are in cash but expected. This place was by far the worse place I have ever been to. My next email is to the State Board of Cosmetology. I went in for a "fill" and left there bleeding. The lady sanded two of my fingers and had me bleeding! She never cleaned and sanitized any of her tools after I bled on them! I could not believe my eyes, she filed all my nail to a different shape and length. They look awful! Some guy came over and tried to fix what she started. He also offers excellent service, squeezes me in and does a great job very quickly because he knows I have a tight schedule. I've received countless pedicures here. Do you want to get your eyebrows done the way you want to get it done? Don't go to debon nails. I told the lady to just wax the top and bottom of the eyebrow just to make it look nice and clean, no shape. However, she completely took my eyebrow hair off leaving me with one super thin line. Not only that, she ripped my skin with the wax leaving my skin burning. They did not apologize at all, not once. Now my eyebrows are completely messed up in every way, and my hair is gone. I have one super thin messy line, thanks to debon. Not to mention I have school in less than a week, and thanks to De Bon Nails, my eyebrows look disgusting and terrible. read more

Just had the worst gel manicure ever and the experience was awful. I had to sit and watch as one techinician practically assaulted a customer only to be yelled at and basically pushed out the door by the owner for complaining. All the while the owner was yelling in Vietnamese. My own gel nails are so horrible that I am tempted to have them done over tomorrow somewhere else. This place was horrible!!!! I usually go to Shiny Nails on 67th and Happy Valley but I wanted to get my nails done with a friend who lives in that area. I figured it would be okay since I just needed a fill and a new gel color but nope! The woman who did my nails was in such a hurry she wasn't even paying attention (even though the place wasn't busy AT ALL and they had employees just sitting around doing nothing). I have really small nails so when they use the tool to smooth out the nail, sometimes they will hit the skin around my nail. This woman literally made every single one of my fingers bleed, I have scabs all around my nails and four days later and my nails are still so sore. When I told her my skin is sensitive and please to be more careful, she told me it was my fault cause I was moving!! Then she continued to do it and it got worse after that! I also asked for my nails to be very square and she made them round and completely uneven. At the end she charged my card and when I asked if I could add a tip she said no, they can't do tips on credit cards! I didn't have any cash on me so I didn't tip her. They should have a sign or something telling their customers in advance cause not everyone carries cash. I am pretty positive the woman who did my nails was the owner or manger by the way she acted so you would think she would be more professional. The who situation just blew my mind. I ended up going to my usual nail salon a day later so they could fix the sloppy work this place did. My friends experience was also horrible. I will never go there again and I will never recommend it to anyone. I guess I learned my lesson on trying a different salon. If you can go anywhere else, do it! Not only is the work they do horrible but they are rude as well! I am not the type to look up a place just to write a bad review but this place was so bad that I had to. I got a chocolate pedicure that was fantastic, and my gel polish application was very speedy. Definitely didn't quite understand the esthetic I was going for-- but that's pretty typical, lol.
