For the past year, I've come returned to the Tukwila location near Southcenter Mall to see Rico, who always delivers a clean, precise skin fade (pictured). The shop has a great atmosphere, and you can tell the staff here really take pride in their work. If you're on the fence / new to the PNW area (This is the place for you). I typically pay $50.00 They take: -walk-ins -appointments (phone & online) Atmosphere Music- R&B, Hip-Hop (as well as, iconic cultural records decorated along the walls, and NFL sports teams). TV: Sports typically playing on the 4 flat screens Conversation- Each barber is friendly and open to talk to, I usually laugh a couple times during my appointment. I started telling him how I wanted my hair done. He seemed to act like he understood and I didn't realize until a fellow came over and offered to translate. He started to cut my hair as slowly as a sloth . I was also really upset the way my hair was turning out and I just exploded and called out "can somebody cut my hair that speaks English?" Luckily another fellow stepped up and said he would cut my hair. His name was David and he did a good job. I doubt I will go back since there is no standard of quality here. It's a play to play barber shop. In the end though I was pleased with my cut so it's really catchers catch can here. I suppose I would go back if I could be sure David would be there. The place is maintained well and always has some good music playing. The only downside from what I have experience is the online scheduling. You are allowed to schedule an appointment with the barbers online. I scheduled twice online and the barbers I set an appointment with was not aware of the appointment and were not onsite as well. Luckily the barbers who were on site were able to help me. Other than that I would highly recommend this place.
