During a leave of absence , I saw a different hairstylist (a level 2) stylist for a cut, and balayage. During the consult, the stylist seemed confident about being able to help me achieve what I wanted. Which was more than reasonable and should've been able to be achieved because frankly it was just like a caramel balayage, nothing crazy. I did not feel that my layers were adequately trimmed. They were not even and my hair felt rough ... my hair looked healthier before the haircut. The balayage technique was not actually even applied. The stylist performed a partial. I went in with level five hair and still came out with level five hair after being in foils for a couple of hours which never happens. I'm always able to get great results with lightning my hair. I left feeling extremely disappointed. When my husband came home, he automatically just said " oh, did you cancel your hair appointment? I thought you were going to the salon today?!" And I had to explain that I did, but he said it looks like nothing had been done. I did reach out a week later, a master stylist reached out to me to fix my hair. Ultimately in the end, I know that the stylist did all they could with what they had to work with to make it look decent. The "fix" was just as disappointing. I have literally spent my entire summer trying to get my hair to heal from this experience. And between the cut and color I spent a lot of my hard earned money to not enjoy the results or frankly the experience. This all happened a couple months ago back in June. I wasn't sure about writing a review, but after taking some time to think, I thought it would be best to let everyone know. Also, I'm not sure if they started using different hair color, but their toner washed out really quickly. Like after one wash. I've always enjoyed most of the stylists here, but if you're gonna spend the money here, really do your research on reviews and book accordingly.- I highly recommend Crystal! She's the best!

I showed him a couple examples and asked for his professional input based on how I style and my daily routine. I went back to Kee for a partial balayage after we had talked about it real briefly during my first appointment. We had a good consultation beforehand, and he took the time to understand exactly the look I wanted, explain the process, and set realistic expectations. You can tell Abdul and his crew really care about the work they do and want customers to just get *a* cut but rather *thee* cut. The location is between Harbor Freight & Ross. Just a few doors down from TJ Max, Target and other stores. Ample parking (huge lot). Handicap parking in lot with curb cuts, first floor entry, and a double door entrance all make it very accessible. Food trucks frequently in the area too. Great location to go shopping, get errands done, and look sharp doing it. As for vibe, this place is by no mistake a modern barber shop. The place is clean, beautiful floors, ample lighting, comfortable chairs, friendly staff and no awkward experience of walking in and it feeling like you're a stranger, nope, Abdul gives you a warm greeting and makes sure your taken care of even if your a walk-in. Cuts are at or slightly below market (what you'd find elsewhere). Payment via card or cash. Beard trim included hot towel, aftershave, etc. Offered product after haircut for styling, you'll be asked for preferences product they won't just throw in whatever they happen to have. Again these folks are friendly, attentive, professional, thorough, care about the craft, and pay close attention to find out exactly how you want it cut down to the small details.
