I was pretty underwhelmed on my wedding day because of the lack of attention that my stylist had to detail. Not only was my hair not like I expected at all, consider what we did at the trial and we looked at pictures of the trial work before actually doing my hair, but also my makeup was messy. My eyeliner was so smudged it looked like I had been crying all day. also, when my eyelashes were applied, my stylist put her hands on my forehead which completely messes up any makeup I had on those spots, and this was not fixed before I left. My mother's hair also came apart before even the reception started. Very disappointed, especially with how much was communicated and how much money was spent. read more

I called and spoke to the owner Debony to book a massage a couple days ahead of my vacation. She was very nice and let me know she would reach out to the therapists and someone would call back and they did that day. I was booked with Katelyn (sp?) and it was an amazing massage. They took care with COVID precautions and also with areas of concern. I get a lot of massages and I can say that Katelyn was really excellent at what she does. She has a very natural and effective method that puts pressure in the right areas but is also relaxing. I had been having back pain and that night I slept so well and pain free. I had my hair cut by Andy and she is tremendous - 6-star if possible. Smart, super friendly and really serious about getting me exactly what I needed. She listened to what I wanted and then very carefully cut a bit at a time to make sure I was OK at every step of the way. I found Debony via yelp when I was looking for someone to do my hair/makeup for my wedding at Wildcat Mountain. Jaimie did my hair and makeup and she ROCKED it. She gave me exactly the look I want and I couldn't have been happier. My hair survived some ridiculous winds on top of Wildcat (they told us if it wasn't for our wedding they would have shut down the gondola) and my makeup survived all kinds of happy tears. It was great to have a contact at the salon who's dedicated to events. Yes, you have to pay a deposit to hold the appointment, which is very standard for weddings. I also loved that we could bring in food and drinks. A bloody mary the morning of my wedding? Yes, please. A few tips for brides or anyone getting services for a special occasion. 1) Do the trial. Even if you have to travel for it. Mine was an emotional roller coaster and we worked through a lot. I can't imagine if that had been my wedding day. 2) Bring lots of pictures of what you want. For hair, be sure the pictures show the back AND the front. 3) Talk to your stylist. You can't get what you want if you don't communicate. We're all in this together :D 4) The day before, have your nails done or get a massage or somehow pamper yourself. And do it by yourself (or with your awesome Mom). Would not risk having your wedding make up done at this place. We went w a group of 8. We had to constantly tell them what to fix what to adjust. They were out of some colors to match our faces. No ones eye make up was well blended at all. We all went back to our hotel rooms and adjusted our make up. I myself changed my complete face. I had had my make up done a couple month ago by a make up artist who used me for her advertising... this was an completely different experience, I was on the verge of tears until I went back quick and redid it all. We also had readjust everyone's hair at the hotel including the bride and mother of the bride. I highly recommend looking into other places. read more

Loved this salon! Was just up in Jackson for my sister's wedding and got a waxing, mani/pedi, and my hair done and daughter's hair done. Amy did an awesome with my waxing and I couldn't have been happier. Andy did my mani/pedi and my daughter's and she also did our hair. I've never felt more beautiful in my life than after Debony Salon was through with me! Even though we hadn't done it for the wedding trial, these artists gave me a beautiful updo and airbrush makeup. My ceremony was outdoors with no cover in the POURING rain. I had rain dripping down my face, but my makeup completely held up. Wonderful mani pedi with Julie. She was efficient, precise and easy to talk to and non-obtrusive. The service were clean and the products top-notch. Recommended by many for wedding day services - but I would recommend staying away!! They refuse to schedule anything until I mailed in a $150 deposit, then never called me again. I got a card in the mail confirming receipt of the deposit but nothing about any scheduling etc. When I emailed asking about scheduling all I got was "yes we have you down." After a few frustrating calls and emails I asked for my deposit back (it was refundable), and the owner promised it would be sent out. Was it? well It's been 9 days and nothing yet... I know this post makes me seem high strung but this has been MONTHS. I was more than reasonable in waiting for them to get back to me and understand that not everyone is as interested in my wedding as I am so give vendors at least a week before following up on any task they say they will do. Just be sure you are screening the salon carefully before mailing any money! read more

Jaimie did a great job on my hair this weekend! I was in a wedding at the Wentworth Inn and honestly wasn't sure what I wanted but she managed to listen carefully and capture exactly what I had in mind with minimal input or direction from me. I felt pretty all day, received a ton of compliments, and definitely appreciated that it stayed in place for hours despite a ton of wind (it was an outdoor ceremony) and several hours of dancing. After a bad trial hair and makeup with a different salon in the North Conway area Debony Salon worked magic to squeeze me in for my Saturday wedding in early August. I was lucky enough to have Debony for my hair and makeup and Tabatha there as her sidekick. Debony is amazing and I have complete faith in saying that I sure all of her stylists would be nothing but the same. She was only there to please and that she did. I am a "picky" person when it comes to updo's, never leaving completely satisfied. I am happy to say that on my wedding day this was not the case. I was the "flu bride" and I needed some pampering. Since Debony was doing my hair and makeup at the Inn for the wedding day, I thought I'd pay them a visit and try to make myself feel human again. I went in for a mani/pedi and the staff was quite welcoming. They saw that I was sick and kept me supplied with hot tea and comfy chairs. As a last minute treat, one of the girls convinced me to have a mini facial. I have a serious problem with redness in my face so I was hesitant. I'm so glad I relented. The salon uses all natural products (Dr. Hauschka) and the products were perfect for my skin. The mini facial made me feel better, for a while anyway. The mani/pedi was very nice with river stones in the foot soak but there was no cuticle trim which I found weird and sort of incomplete for the price. I did see a trimmer in her box so I guess they do it, just not to me. I was satisfied with my hair and make up on my wedding day as, I believe, my bridesmaids were. STAY FAR AWAY. We had Debony Salon do all our hair and makeup the day of my wedding on August 22nd, 2015. I had paid $250.00 to have Tabbatha (Debony's wedding coordinator), Debony (salon owner), and two other stylists come to our reception location in Fryeburg Maine. First let me start off by saying how terrible my highly encouraged trial was about a month before. I had traveled up to the salon in Jackson NH all the way from Boston MA (where I reside) during the week because that was the only time I could make my appointment. So to start I needed to take a day out of work to go up to NH to do this because it was so HIGHLY recommended by Tabatha. ANYWAYS, We had some major issues getting up there due to traffic and arrived at my appointment late. To make a long story short Debony did a half ass job on my makeup and barely touched my hair, and I was charged $205.00. Following my disaster of a trial I made a great amount of requests, and one of those requests being, wanting more time the day of the wedding because there were still a great amount of things that were not figured out since my trial was just basically a waste of a day and a large waste of money. Now to the day of the wedding. My entire bridal party, which included 4 girls, and then my mother, the grooms mother, and my grandmother had their hair and makeup done. Lets start with the makeup, or lack there of. We had all requested airbrush makeup because we were told this was the best choice for full coverage, but we all had little to no coverage on our faces, and also no foundation of any type under our eyes. So we paid more money for makeup that gave us no coverage. Next onto the eye lashes, They charged us all $20 each to put on false eyelashes that were the worst brand of eye lashes that can be purchased from your local Walmart. My jaw dropped to the floor. And to top it all off they did the worst job in the world on applying the eye lashes. They glued the corner my the false eye lashes to my cousins real eyelashes, so when she removed the false eye lashes that evening she lost half of her real lashes. JUST A DISASTER. They applied little to no eye liner or mascara! How do you not apply mascara??? If you couldn't tell by now the makeup portion of our services were a disaster, each any every lady, including myself (the bride) had to fix and re-do our makeup once we were finished, and I am over the top upset since we all paid $95.00 each to have our makeup done. && to make matters worse they insisted that our makeup would stay on all day! Well once we were all done with the ceremony we had to go back to our reception site, to re-apply makeup before we could even continue with our professional photographs... I HAD LINES ON MY FACE! Next, the Hair. My mom had this crystal wrap she wanted to put in here hair, and the stylist who did her hair looked at it and was like well I don't know how this works! So we had to physically do it ourselves, and my mothers hair was very much a disaster. She's the mother of the bride! She has the right to look her absolute best. Instead I don't know what the hell they did to her hair, it looked NOTHING like her photo she requested. And that's another things, one of the girls showed the stylists a photo and the stylists replied (the salon owner), "Oh that's great I can definitely do that" and when she got done, it looked nothing like the photo. Debony did the same thing to me. My hair was a disaster as well, and she looked dumbfounded when I was changing it myself. Maybe the problem is we are all from the city, and we went to NH/ME and trusted that this salon could actually do our hair and makeup, and honestly we all could have done a MUCH better job. At the end of the day we basically all did our own makeup anyways, and my hair had no curl and was falling out the entire evening. What upsets me the most is the amount of money Debony's salon robbed us of for their low quality services. They arrived with an attitude, and didn't even say hi to me, the bride & the one who paid $250.00 to have them come to us. Then to make matters worse, Tabatha, the wedding coordinator, would remind everyone of the time every 30 mins, including saying to me that we had only 15 mins left before they had to go, AFTER I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED MORE TIME FOLLOWING MY DISASTER OF A TRIAL. What do you mean you only have 15 more mins?????? We paid you to deliver a service, You therefore need to complete the service, I don't care what time it is!!!!!!!!! At weddings many things can go wrong, but when it starts as the first thing, and to the females when it comes to hair and makeup this is the LAST thing you want to go wrong or stress you out on the day of your wedding. So please please please take my advice and don't use Debony's Salon. read more

As a Mother-of-the-Groom, I went to this salon with the entire wedding party. I availed myself of their services on both the Friday and the Saturday of our wedding weekend, getting 2 different hairstyles, mani-pedi, and makeup on both days. They were fantastic. Everyone looked fabulous for our events. They do a ton of weddings and are very adept at all kinds of styles but especially undos. In addition to being very good at what they do, it was a fun place to go. If I lived closer I would absolutely use this salon for my regular hair care. I had such an amazing time at Debony before my wedding. Amy, the wedding coordinator was so helpful in scheduling all of my appointments; even with my odd work schedule and living out of town. I had to re-schedule a few times because of things on my end and she was so pleasant and helpful. Andy did my hair and I absolutely loved it! She really listened to a few things I wanted changed from my trial run. My hair style was a little complicated and she even practiced on her daughter! I was so touched that she put time and effort into my wedding hairstyle outside of work! All of the girls at Debony were so sweet and thoughtful, I had a (much needed!) relaxing time there before my wedding. The pedicures my mom and I had were heaven! They have these awesome massaging pedicure chairs. We also had another appointment with my sister in law and maid of honor, to get all of our nails done. Cassie, Linda and Sarah did the pedicures and nails. Everyone at the salon was so friendly, accommodating and talented. I felt so much at ease there before my big day, I couldn't recommend a salon more highly. read more

I was an out-of-state bride to be, with a small bridal party. I had no big complaints about my bridal party's hair and makeup, it was my own makeup that day that was very disappointing. The same person that did the other makeup did not do mine, and she originally drew on terrible dark eyeliner and said, "Now, this is a lot of eyeliner, but I have a reason for it." Well, she never shared it with me. Long story short, after several makeup "removals" and "reapplications" I was not achieving the look I asked for and started to practically have a break down. I can't understand why they put an "artist" who thinks scribbling on black liner is a professional application worth $75. Additionally, I had airbrush, which was only covered several times with powder. I hadn't had enough time, so I ended up leaving with a look that was "fine" enough, but not what I had wanted. Then, they had the nerve to follow out a member of my party and try to charge her for a service they didn't provide, which resulted in more time wasted resolving their mistake. I use makeup, and have had professional application almost a dozen times and have never had such an issue as I did MY special day. I would not recommend this salon. read more
