Dr. Nguyen gets the secret sixth Yelp star from me…read more After my OB-GYN told me that it was unlikely I would be able to have kids naturally due to early adulthood cancer, I went to Dr. Nguyen to see if she could help. Trying to get pregnant is an extremely discouraging and demeaning process but Dr. Nguyen was able to help me get in tune with my body in a way that I never knew how. Even in my darkest moments she was always encouraging and insightful and her sunny outlook kept me going even when I was about to give up. In fact, I had pretty much completely given up when I finally got that positive sign that I had been hoping for. My treatment did not end there, I worked with Dr. Nguyen during my first trimester to make sure my baby was healthy and strong and my body was running like a well-oiled machine. I'm not quite sure if I just got off lucky or if the acupuncture was just really effective because I've been feeling even BETTER than I did before I got pregnant. Except for a few charlie horses here and there I did not suffer from nausea or other typical ailments at all. What I like about about Dr. Nguyen is her balanced approached to alternative medicine and she never seems to recommend treatments that I don't need (although I almost kind of want them because it's so relaxing and zen in there). I feel very safe and comfortable in her hands and have been so glad to have her in my arsenal of self care tools. She recently relocated to a brand new office in Tysons Corner which is super modern, chic and quiet -- perfect for relaxing! You can also book and cancel appointments online which is very convenient. Thank you so much Dr. Nguyen from me and my entire family. I can happily say that this is the most life changing business I have found thanks to Yelp!

My wife and I saw this practitioner back in November of 2023. From the initial consultation which she decided to do over video call because she was on vacation in Costa Rica. During the video call, my wife and I could tell that her attention was not with us. She hardly had listened to anything we had to say and kept cutting us off. She seemed like she was in a big rush, and it seemed she didn't want to hear anything we had to say despite paying her $267.00 for a "consultation". Towards the end of the conversation, she just advised us to purchasing several medications costing from $200.00-300.00 along with doing a "special" lab test called Dutch test which cost about $500.00-1,000.00 as well her scheduling another 15 minutes follow up for $100.00 if we had any further questions or concerns. My wife and I left the video appointment more confused than going into it and she didn't make it any easier. With that said, my wife and I decided to give her a second chance with the follow up appointment which was also video call. However, due to a family emergency we were unable to attend, and we gave her sufficient notice that we were unable to attend. Surprisingly, she acknowledged our emergency and replied to me over text that she understood that this is an emergency, and she wouldn't charge me the $75.75 missing appointment fee. After a few days what do I see in my mobile banking a charge from Copesthetic Health for $75.75. Obviously, I filled out a dispute with my bank, and I was upset and assured myself I would do everything possible to get every penny of mine from her, which I did, and she didn't want to she was giving my bank the run around for weeks. I made it very clear to her what she did was messed up over the phone and was loud and clear about it. Not just that, what other reviews have said about her is accurate as well. Her communication lacks, her scheduling is very sporadic, no follow up, and is money hungry and is unknowledgeable in her field. From the beginning it was a hit or miss with her she never replies to text messages, emails, etc. What's the point of putting your personal phone number online if you don't respond? She clearly never prioritizes her patients and don't give me that BS that "you're not my only patient". Perhaps hire an assistant to handle your crap if your to "busy" to yourself? Everyone reading this, PLEASE save yourself the time and trouble of dealing with her, it's NOT worth the stress, time, money. If I could give less than one star I would. I really hope this review will not only make herself a better person, but an honest and professional medical practitioner.

As I read it, I was delighted to find someone that could relate to how I was feeling. I setup my initial appointment right way. During my initial visit, I found Dr Cope to be a kind, center person, who genuinely cares about client and she wants to share her knowledge with her clients. During my first visit, we reviewed my many menopause symptoms (brain fog, depression, lack of focus, hair loss, etc.) and my clinical history. Right away Dr Cope put her knowledge and expertise to work and had a plan of action which consisted of supplements, tinctures and tests. After the first week of treatment, I felt like myself again, I hadn't felt like this in months. I couldn't be more impressed by Dr Cope's bedside matter, expertise and balanced approach to treatment.

I've had her hot stone and deep tissue and both were a revelation. If I could afford it, I would get a massage once a week. She has very strong hands and knows how to use her strength so that I get the most out of my time with her. I can really never have too much pressure and she gets it right every time. All of my friends and family go to Essential Bodyworks because they know they will get what they need every time. I tested my hypothesis by getting a massage elsewhere this week because I had an old gift certificate. I could hardly relax because I was noticing every way in which the massage therapist was not Linda. Linda's massages are seamless and perfect and I would not change a thing. Can't wait for my next massage!!

But none of this, however, would really matter if the treatments didn't work. But they do work. Vicky is terrific. I've gone to see her with everything from gout flares, to flu-like symptoms, to stress-related conditions. Each time, I've come away feeling much, much better. My pain is gone, I feel more relaxed, and I get fantastic sleep. These days, I see Vicky for what I call my monthly "tune-ups." I feel great knowing that I'm being proactive with my health and well being. Finally, I can't say enjoy about Vicky's staff. After a year of horrible pain,…read moresteroids injections in my neck and skull, way too many pain medications, my neurologist suggested acupuncture and going to see Deborah Farley at Acupuncture Clinic of Richmond. At this point, I was open to it. I called in to make an appointment and was told what to expect - 1/2 hour meeting first and then a 45 min session (approx.) I was told I could bring my own music if I like (to listen to while in the therapy room). When I got there, it was a welcoming lobby and Deborah popped out of office to say she'd be right with me and to have a seat in another room. When she came in, we went through a pretty in depth question and answer session. This time was VERY informative. She then let me know that for my particular condition, any relief would take at least 6 sessions and she told me why and explained it. She then told me what to expect in the therapy room. She asked me if I like cool or warm rooms and I chose. She told me to get on the table and take off my socks (you should wear pants that are loose so she can get to your calf area.) I was nervous and she said she could put a few needles in certain areas to calm me down. The needles do NOT HURT. After going countless times, I have had 3 times, where a needle had hit me in just the right spot and it gives you a little shock, again not painful. She then asked if I wanted a heat lamp on me for the duration of the visit. (I tend to freeze, so said sure) She gave me a little bell and told me to ring it if I needed her and then told me I would be in here for 1/2 hour. I'll admit I was nervous to have all these little needles in me and was afraid to move and now she was gonna leave?!?!?!? But...I fell asleep within 10 minutes. Yup! Asleep. Woke up to her telling me I was done and it felt like I had just had the best massage!!!! She counted the needles as she took them out (I guess to be sure she got them all) and then told me she'd meet me out front. I got my stuff together and met her up front and she had water waiting for me. She told me to drink lots of water and might get a little sore and stuffy after. After my first session I was hooked. I have since come off disability and have no lasting effects from my injury. I go every 3 months or so for a "check up" and am forever a fan of accupunture!

It gets chilly, so they provide throw blankets, or you can bring your own. They can handle 12 at a time, and at one time there were probably six of us, which seemed busy to me, but not to the lady at the front desk, apparently, because she let my sister and me stay an extra hour since they weren't busy. Almost immediately, my stomach started gurgling, which isn't uncommon since the whole thing is supposed to help with digestion. Also, my torn rotator started hurting immediately, too. It stopped after a while. The two hours went by super fast. Almost everyone sleeps. Don't try this if you can't be still or be quiet. No phones allowed. I also noticed that everyone gets up to pee at some point, so it definitely works on detoxing! Mostly older people, but one person younger than me. Also since it was our first time, the lady at the desk gave us a complimentary bag of bath salts recommended to use in the first 24 hours after your session. I'll do mine tonight and report back. I already know I'm going to sleep like a baby tonight. Clean, quiet. Nice staff. It's difficult to rate the effectiveness of the experience, because it's nothing you feel immediately or can definitively equate to the experience. But I'm a believer, in general and would try it again.

Most people brought their own pillows and blankets to be extra comfy. It's cool in there, so bringing additional blankets is a good idea. You might also want to bring an eye covering. It's darkish, but not so dark that you can't see. They run a white noise machine. Some find that soothing. Others find it distracting. It's a shoeless space, so wear fluffy socks so your feet don't get cold. You will want to bring water to stay hydrated, but if you forget, they have some. It's a comfortable space. No talking is allowed, so you should have no problem relaxing and snoozing. As for results, well, all three times, my tummy gurgled. I felt relaxed. I feel cleaner. Not on the outside, but on the inside. I'd go again.
