Last time I came, they told me they'd book me for 6 months out for another cleaning and they told me the date of 6 months and I booked. I came today and at the end, they tried to charge me over $400 for the cleaning!!!! I asked why as it should be free through insurance. The rude and grumpy front desk lady told me it's 6 days short of 6 months and told me it's my fault for not "double checking" after they told me a 6 month date and booked me. I thought dentists offices were smart enough to count 6 months and tell clients dates but I guess not! Clearly counting 6 months is too hard for these employees or they are trying to scam patients for more money. Ridiculous. I am calling my insurance company to tell them and get this charge taken off while also never returning. Not only would she not apologize but she was rude and completely blamed me as the client. Yikes! What horrible business practice and customer service. I wouldn't ever come here and if you do, make sure you "double check" the 6 month dates as they are scamming people.

He is very professional and knowledgeable about his work. He deep cleaned my teeth, fixed a bunch of holes and removed a wisdom teeth with efficiency and perfect outcome. The treatment has been much more comfortable comparing those I got from other dentist. I feel much better now and will come back next year when my dental insurance budget is refilled. They explained why. On the denture, the front teeth did not align correctly to the back teeth. It's like they were set too far towards the front. This caused the denture to protrude too much in the front, slide all over the place, and a misaligned bite.

The exams, consults, and procedure planning was always done very professionally with never any push of getting things done. I have seen support staff come and go through the years and I have to say that working with both Crystal and Kaylie recently was a complete pleasure. The hygienist Anna was rough when she took photos of my teeth and performed the cleaning. When I made "ouch" sounds and clearly signaled her that she had hurt my gum, she didn't even apologize or try to be more careful. Then the hygienist told me that I had more than 10 cavities even before the dentist showed up to look at my X ray. I was surprised because I have not had any cavities for over 10 years and during this time I have seen 3 different dentists. When the dentist came, Anna told him I had 10 cavities and he confirmed it. I questioned how could I develop 10 cavities within a year since my last exam. He explained the X ray can detect more cavities than what we can see with bare eyes, but he didn't show me where the 10 cavities were on the X ray. At the end of my visit, the hygienist Anna printed me a "treatment plan" of 5 appointments for fillings, and $1,040 out of pocket after insurance payment. I didn't trust this dentistry and decided to switch. I visited a dentist office in Edmonds today and had an exam and cleaning. The dentist office received my last X ray image from Bright 32 and took additional x ray images. They reviewed both with me and said I had very healthy teeth. The hygienist said I do a good job cleaning my teeth and my dental clean appointment was short and easy. I found the "Treatment Plan Estimate" from Bright 32 last year and I wonder how much money they made from patients and insurance companies when no treatment was needed. Stay away!

I did not feel the cleaning I got here was done very well, and a follow up six months later seemed to confirm that, because the second hygienist felt that there was tartar that was old that should have been removed previously. The hygienist here outlined an extensive treatment plan without explaining anything at all about what was actually wrong. I had gone for what I expected to be a routine appointment with no symptoms. I asked a lot of questions and got better information, but they should have provided the diagnostic information first. You shouldn't have to ask for that and then have to continue to ask questions to drag the information out of them. The treatment plan was very aggressive, and of course, very expensive - nearly $10,000, and that was only "Phase 1." I was told there would be a phase 2 and that it would be even more expensive, but we didn't get far enough for an actual quote on that. I was given a lot of push back when asking about more conservative approaches. I saw two other dentists for additional opinions and they both felt that I could do nothing and the risk of the problems getting worse would be very small. One of them felt that Dr. Brenner's plan was reasonable but more aggressive than necessary and the other felt that it was inappropriately aggressive. If you're someone who likes to take the most aggressive option and is not concerned about costs, this guy might be ok. I acknowledge that there is an upside to aggressive treatment - there is a small risk my situation could get worse with more conservative measures. Aggressive treatment would mean spending a lot of money up front but eliminating that risk. Also, he does not do even simple extractions - he has his brother do them, which seems kind of weird. I've never had a general dentist who couldn't do simple non-surgical extractions. And the brother has had DOH disciplinary action taken against him. Overall impression is that this practice is excessively profit-driven.

He is a perfectionist, which is a highly desirable quality in any medical professional I see! 3) He will not break the bank. His charges are reasonable and he will attempt to do his work in a cost-effective (but excellent) manner. 4) He is obsessive. My first visit was an hour an a half, and most of the time was spent with him inspecting my teeth in detail (see #2) 5) Staff are all incredibly personable, helpful, and competent. They thought it was more profitable to keep putting new caps on and charging me thousands of dollars. Karen did research, x-rays, and measurements and resolved the problem. I admit, I was cheating on my normal dentist I'd had for years due to some special offers they had so it's not like I wasn't 'in the know' about the condition of my teeth. But, according to them, I was in danger of losing many of them and needed thousands of dollars of work done ASAP. Their style is more like a used car sales office, you go into a 'consultation room' before and after your appointment and there are some high pressure sales techniques being used to get you to agree to schedule appointments for massive amounts of work on your teeth as well as return for a 'deep cleaning' as their normal cleaning really isn't much of one as other reviewers have stated. In the end, I didn't succumb to the pressure and crawled back to my original dentist, apologizing for the brief affair- he offered to give me a similar deal as they offered and didn't even reprimand me for cheating. He confirmed, none of the work was needed they had said were emergencies, and when I called back to let them know that, they said they always recommended an aggressive stance on dental work as they aren't set up to deal with emergencies. Uh, that's just wrong on both fronts, why would I want a dentist who would refuse me in an emergency and who basically does all the work that MIGHT need to be done and have me pay out of pocket instead of spread it over years of insurance coverage?
