It is sad that u pay 100$ fee for a late show up even at a time where u have communicated u will be late. Waste of time and energy tbh. Traffic and such are unpredictable, the eta changes every minute. They should understand that. And I was a patient for 3+ years. But I don't feel like I belong here cuz of the treatment. They should have considered these variable for their faithful patients. Please don't go here. Being nice is sometimes way better than going by the book. I came to Redmond Signature Dentistry for a routine cleaning and was told in advance--both by the clinic and my Aetna insurance--that preventive X-rays would be fully covered. However, they performed a periapical (diagnostic) X-ray instead of a preventive one, without informing me, and billed it. As a result, I was unexpectedly billed out-of-pocket. When I brought this up, the office manager insisted this is their standard practice, and that patients are responsible for charges insurance doesn't fully pay--even if the procedure wasn't clearly explained or authorized. They threatened to send the balance to collections. This experience reflects a serious lack of transparency and patient-centered care. read more

I went in for the first time ever to this dentist around this time last year. The dentist was using a high-pressure water pick or alike, and after my cleaning I noticed a new gap between my bottom middle teeth, and another one between two in the top left side. I'm thinking "my gums will come back. Maybe they hit it too hard and it will retract back or something". Nope. Those gaps between my teeth remain, and gums don't grow back! Not the most pleased. Be careful when getting an estimate for dental work. Every time I ask for an estimate, they give you the bare-bones but always fail to include an extras like x-rays, nitrous and other line items that you don't see until you get an additional bill. (Even though I paid upfront for the estimate that's my share after insurance pays their share. ) The actual dental work is excellent, but the billing department with their outdated system needs an overhaul. I've been a patient here for many years, and the service has always been excellent. The hygienists in particular have consistently provided outstanding care, which is why my recent experience was surprising. I came in hoping to repair a chipped tooth, but the dentist declined to patch or even smooth it because of my underbite and referred me to an orthodontist. I understand the clinical reasoning, but it felt like there were no alternatives offered and that the dentist may not have been comfortable addressing anything beyond basic care. It left me asking myself a sincere question: should a patient really have to live with a chipped tooth simply because they cannot afford additional orthodontic treatment right now? Even a temporary solution or clearer guidance would have made a meaningful difference. I truly hope the practice considers offering interim options for situations like this, so patients can feel supported even when long term treatment is not immediately affordable. read more

Excellent office but not open on Fridays or weekends and won't answer their phone on Fridays. I don't know why every dentist office gets to take Fridays off in this area but most people do work and have school five days a week, and often Fridays are the best day to miss a meeting or a test. Was told I needed a cavity filled ASAP and then told it would be 6 months for an appointment with Dr. Shreya. I said I didn't ask to see her and specifically has said multiple time I do not want to see her and they keep scheduling me with her. I said if I had to wait 6 months I will call around and find another office, maybe one that is open on Fridays, and lo and behold they found an appointment with Dr. Stonebreaker right away. I've been going here for almost 20 years and don't see a reason to change because the providers (other than Dr. Shreya) are excellent. But the front desk shenanigans and hours are annoying. read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I had a really great time with everyone here. Everyone is so nice, helpful and friendly. They have reminders through text which has been very helpful for me. They are also very on time and punctual with their service. I never have to wait, I come in on time and went in immediately. When I went in to get my cavity filled in, they gave me sunglasses and lip balm. They even offered me headphones during the whole procedure!!! Everything was done very professionally and I also had anesthetics so I didn't feel anything when they drilled in. I love Dr Jumani!! I highly recommend her. She's very nice and friendly Tip: make sure to know what your insurance covers! It would be very helpful and also so that you wouldn't get charged for the things you didn't want to pay for. An example is the fluoride they give after your dental cleaning. Some insurance don't cover that and it costs $60 read more

My family went here for 22 years but I had to fire them this year for gross incompetence. The dentists and assistants are terrific. Sadly their great work is completely overshadowed by ignorant and abrasive office workers that don't know how to submit and manage insurance claims. I simply don't have the bandwidth, patience, or desire to constantly deal with bills that are covered by insurance. When I tell them I'm fully covered and they should submit a claim, I'm told they did submit a claim and it's my responsibility to solve. When I call Regence they tell me that RSD did not submit a claim and they will actually call RSD on my behalf, like a professional company should do. RSD is anything but professional or competent. And they are no longer serving my family. I cannot recommend them due to poor claims mgmt and poor customer communication. read more

Sadly this practice has gone down the tubes in just about every aspect since being acquired from the late Dr. Files. It's sad. I really wanted Redmond Signature Dentistry to come around but things just kept getting worse and worse. The last straw for me was when my Periodontist reached out to them for some information/x-rays and they blew him off. In his words, "they were very unprofessional". When I called in to tell them I was leaving the practice (after being a patient for 15 yrs), they could've cared less. Not a word from them since then. I now see an amazing dentist in Issaquah and it's a night and day difference! You can tell a lot about how business is run by the conduct of the front office and billing staff... and Redmond Sig's are the worst. Nearly every interaction I had with them left me confused and frustrated. For example, they require patients to prepay for services before submitting to insurance which would often result in a credit back to me, which they wouldn't notify me of and wouldn't give back unless I asked. Multiple times I would discover I had a credit (months later) on my account and when asked about it they would say "we'll just apply this credit to future dental services". Sometimes this amount was hundreds of dollars. Essentially, prepaying for future services. Just a poor patient experience all around. Dr. Jumani was always a delight to interact with. She should get out and start her own practice and leave the dead weight behind. read more

Absolutely the best care that I've ever had. The doctor's are incredibly skilled, the hygienists are thorough and kind, the dental assistants are sweet and professional. The front desk staff ALWAYS give an accurate financial report so that I know what my co-pay will be. I would recommend this office to anyone I know! My family and I went to this dentist for 20+ years when the old owner ran it. I'm giving a one star review because my mother went in for a teeth cleaning and the hygienist told her she needed a deep gum cleaning. They wanted something like $400 for it. They wouldn't let her schedule a regular cleaning without getting a deep cleaning. She went to another dentist who is very reputable in Issaquah and they told her she didn't need a deep cleaning. The new dentist said her gums were measured at a 1-2 where Redmond signatures dentistry said her gums were a 4-5. It's upsetting but the old owner isn't there and we have nowhere near the relationship with the new owner. read more

I couldn't be happier with the treatment and care I have received in Redmond Signature. I have had a couple of complex issues, and their entire team have made the issues easy to deal with. I think they must be well led as an organization as everyone in there is great to work with. They strike me as a classy bunch. A final note, I really appreciate how Dr McLaughlin takes complex issues and subjects and breaks them down so they're easily understood. He's clearly a leader in his field, but has no ego at all, and makes even the most uncomfortable patient (example, me!) very relaxed. Highly recommend. read more

Per the ratings, I visited this place for dental filling replacement and consulted with Dr. Shreya for the same. Post the treatment, I faced serious bite adjustment issues, which were not there prior to treatment. Upon seeking advice, no satisfactory solution was provided; they asked me to pursue orthodontic treatment to correct the issue which happened due to their mistake. I have been a client at Redmond Signature Dentistry for several years now. I have always enjoyed my experiences here overall. The staff are friendly, engaging and always professional. The office itself is very nice and modern. I find that the price for services is always overwhelming for me. I find that it doesn't matter where I have gone, dental work is expensive even with insurance. I didn't want to take any star away because the cost does not affect their service and attempts to support me through the process. They have always tried to work with me and find ways to help with costs and insurance etc. This is something I value because they have been very helpful and supportive. I am not good with needles and all the staff are really great about helping me get through all the procedures I have needed. And since I have a lot of dental work that is needed I really appreciate having staff that find ways to help me with this. Staff are very knowledgeable. I have met all three of the Dentists and they are all welcoming and very nice. I also appreciate that the Dentist's themselves call clients and follow up on how the procedure went and if you are doing alright. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone looking for quality, professionalism, skill and supportive environment. read more

Bar none, the best dentistry that I have ever used. I have been going here for a few years and the experience is always top notch. Dr. Files (RIP), Dr. Stonebraker and Dr. McLaughlin are some of the best in their field, IMO. Dr. McLaughlin has done a couple fillings and a crown for me, and there has never been an issue. I had an issue last year where I thought I had cracked a tooth, and they got me in almost immediately. The front desk and billing team are wonderful and accommodating. The hygienists are fantastic, especially Aleana, who is quick, thorough, and gentle all at the same time. This is the only dentist office that hasn't tried to sell me anything or make me feel forced into an unnecessary procedure. No high pressure tactics here, just a talented team that truly has your best interest at heart. read more

Redmond Family & Cosmetic is transitioning to take over my original dentist's practice (Dr. Files, 7502 164th Ave NE #135, Redmond, WA 98052, (425) 885-0008) as he is forced to retire due to a very unfortunate medical diagnosis. I left this review on both company's profiles... I went in yesterday for my first visit with one of the newer dentists rather than Dr. Files (newer to this practice, but experienced in the field), Dr. Stonebraker. Majority of the staff is the same as it was before, just a few new faces/hygenists. Everyone is just as friendly as the original staff and they go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and taken care of. My appointment started with Lindsay who was great. I let her know that I have slight anxiety about the needles/drills processes, so we got the nitrous going. Though this is a small added fee, it is well worth it if you feel any anxiety about dental processes. She was attentive about the level of the gas I received - wanted to gradually work it up to a level of comfort rather than just pump up the gas and call it good. She said some people get a little dizzy, and I appreciated her concern. She didn't hesitate to call in Shelene to administer the anesthetic via needle, after I expressed my feelings about sharp things coming at my face. Shelene is a pro. For sure. She kept the needles out of sight the entire time and approached my mouth with the instruments from an angle that I wouldn't see it coming, without me even asking/suggesting. I thought that was pretty considerate and it was much appreciated. She double-checked with me to make sure my mouth was good and numb before we moved on to the next part. Pro, I tell you! :) Lindsay came back in and assisted Dr. Stonebraker with the fillings process. Both were great. They worked well as a team and I felt like the procedure went by pretty quickly, even though in reality it was nearly 2 hrs. Lindsay even took the time in the middle of the process to reapply some chapstick for me to make sure I was comfortable. Much appreciated! The check-out process went smoothly, per usual. The ladies at the front desk are great and always make sure my questions are answered. The new hours offered for appointments are VERY convenient and there is a LOT of availability thanks to the new team coming aboard. I have no complaints... other than I wish my insurance would cover more of the charges. But that has nothing really to do with the office. The dentists and hygienists are kind - but I have consistently had less than friendly interactions with the staff at the front desk. I've read reviews for other businesses before where this has been an issue and never really related - but it's ultimately the reason I decided to change providers. I recall one morning I had an early dental cleaning, maybe 7am. I was a few yards away from the front door and my phone rang - it was the front desk inquiring about my whereabouts. It was legitimately 7:01am. When I walked in I told them I thought it was a little intense and I got a snide comment about being late. I recall another time I arrived to my appointment and asked if they had a toothbrush so I could brush before my cleaning - I was pregnant at the time and needed to eat in the car between appointments. The woman at the front desk seemed extremely inconvenienced that I'd even ask such a question and reluctantly gave me a disposable toothbrush and no toothpaste. Recently my Spring appointment got canceled due to Covid. They had called me a couple times to reschedule. With a new baby I hadn't been able to get back to them right away - it certainly wasn't first on my priority list. When I called them back they informed me because of my delay in getting back to them they'd have to bump me to the end of October. I apologized and explained I've been busy with a newborn - not looking for an accommodation but just explaining why I've been hard to get ahold of. The gal at the front desk completely failed to acknowledge what I said - no congratulations or understanding at all. She just reiterated the next date available. The interaction felt dismissive and very impersonal. I decided to switch to my husbands dentist where he is always treated wonderfully. By the time I called to cancel my October cleaning - my new dentists office had already contacted them to send over my X-rays. Redmond Signature Dentistry took this as permission to cancel my appointment without my consent. When I called to cancel they informed me they had nothing on the books for me. I feel like they've taken good care of my teeth - but these poor front desk interactions are enough to send me elsewhere. Unfortunate. read more

I want to thank and praise Dr. Anthony McLaughlin and his amazing restorative team and staff. I had two dental implants and 6 custom crowns placed, Dr. Tony created my beautiful smile, he not only met expectations he exceed them. There are no words to express how different I feel about myself, I can finally look at myself in the mirror and smile without feeling unattractive. He went above & beyond the call of duty when I had trouble with one of the implants but thankfully with time and patients the implant integrated into the bone. I don't think I could have gone through with this with any other dentist. He is truly amazing! His coordination of treatment with Dr. Dkeidek (Periodontic) for the gum surgery. It was something I was hesitant about at first but he had a vision and I trusted him. I want to thank Dale Denny for his artistry, the details he put into each custom ceramic crown is unbelievable. The shape of the tooth as well as the color fits my mouth so naturally, it's as if I was born with them. I can't believe how long ago I began this process starting with ortho, gum surgery, tooth extraction, two new implants and finally 6 new magically crafted teeth. I would not have done this without him and the amazing team. The entire staff is professional, caring and enthusiastic throughout my process. Generally good with routine work - e had a recent issue with a less than standard routine. While RSD claim to be a Premera provider, my wife had dental work done that would have been covered by Premera but RSD refused to bill insurance, claiming it would hurt their bottom line too much. According to Premera appeals department, this is technically legal (since you had to sign away your ability to claim insurance to get this procedure, which I wasn't aware of when it was being done). It still seems a bit shifty to claim to be an approved Premera provider, but to not actually cover all that Premera covers, so we'll be leaving. read more

First let me say that I've never been one who was comfortable going to the dentist, but I've been seeing Dr Mc Laughlin and his team for 7 years now. Regularly- without fail. If I've had an after hours issue, I've never had to wait long for a call back. I recently had an implant and 12 crowns that were medically necessary after poor dental work in my youth broke down. Dr McLaughlin took care of the whole thing in 2 long visits with some sedation... almost no pain and my new teeth... they look like MY original teeth, only better, a few years back when I was younger. My daughter has never seen another dentist and loves it here. She usually has Amanda clean her teeth and I love trusting that me & my daughter are getting the very best care. The state of the art equipment, and the teamwork among the staff really make this the best dental office on the Eastside, as far as I can tell. Certainly worth driving past all the other dentists I pass between my home or office and their central location at the Town Center. read more

We've gone to Redmond Family & Cosmetic Dentistry for several years, but we decide to look for another provider in the area. I've always felt like they would suggest treatments that were not really necessary. However, the biggest issue that I ran across is that they missed a big cavity that was developing in my tooth for some time. When I switched to another dentist, he immediately noticed it and showed me the problem area that required a huge filling. It didn't really hurt so I never complained, but this is something that they should've caught during a routine exam. I was pretty disappointed. read more

Just last week right after having a frustrating phone chat with our HSA vendor about billing questions, it occurred to me how easy this dental office makes our life: they take the extra step in calling insurance company on our behalf and make sure for each service we receive, we understand how much insurance will cover and how much we need to pay. Often times questions are asked during the dental cleaning and by the time I am done they already have the correct information.ready. I don't recall having to do anything extra and no payment got questioned or bounced back. During new patient dental examination i was told that my insurance is not covering for Xrays for this visit therefore there would be no xrays taken or charge for it and it would be a routine cleaning. And since no investigation for cavity will be carried out as there are no xraysof my teeth available to Redmond Signature Dentistry. However, I had informed Redmond Signature Dentistry about my previous Aspen dentist, prior to my this visit but still redmond signature dentistry did'nt made any efforts to get my previous dental history from aspen dental. I had provided all of my dental history including name, contact info of previous dental service providers (including ASPEN dental) on the online portal of Redmond signature dentistry, months before my first visit. Around 12 minutes were spent on routine light cleaning and rest of the time around 48 minutes were spent on explaining by another senior dr dentist/surgeon that my jaw/teeth are out of allignment and $7500 treatment is needed to correct it which includes grinding of my other healthy teeth to correct my smile. I requested him that i only need a porcelin crown to replace a single temporary crown which i got from another dentist in Atlanta and i donot need to improve my jaw line or smile. But the senior dr dentist/surgeon insisted on doing first the useless cosmetic procedure of $7500 instead of a $1000 single crown replacement. The honorable dr dentist/surgeon refused to replace my crown unless i give him extra $7500 for doing useless grinding cutting of my healthy teeth for correcting my smile (My jawline/teeth are OK since i was born and i have got no complaints against God how he has made my face). Anyway i was astonished to see the final bill submitted to my insurance by Redmond Signature Dentistry included xray charges. My dental insurance declined xray charges. Now i have been sent extra bill by Redmond Signature Dentistry to pay for xrays. Definitely I will not go again to them and others Beaware of their (hidden) billing practices and low quality dental services. read more

I enjoyed my experience at Dr. McLaughlin's office. His staff was very friendly and informative and I left w/ a full understanding of what I needed to have done. The work done that day was done w/ care and courtesy and being one of the many w/o dental insurance, they were able to offer me an awesome payment plan. I will for sure go there for future needs. I have to wonder how someone could give a bad review but still admit to going here for years? I'm thinking they let one bad taste ruin the whole meal. Unfortuantely it's too little too late. Dental work is, after all, time critical!! Had my first visit in the office in the Redmond Town Center. I'm currently preparing for a kidney transplant and part of the preparation is making sure there are no cavities. I was pleasantly surprised at the nice waiting room. When it was time for the exam they were very thorough with X-rays and photos of my teeth. The dental assistant explained everything to me in detail. She even posted the X-rays to the tv screen in front of me and showed me everything we were talking about. I have another appointment tomorrow for a deeper clean so we'll see how that goes. First impressions were really good. I enjoyed my time there. Updates to come. read more

Yesterday I went to Redmond Signature Dentistry. It was my first visit to a dental office in years. I was scared to be honest and had a lot anxiety. The staff were so wonderful caring and the service done very gently. I was also very impressed with how clean, professional and state of the art equipment at this dental office. A super nice woman named Erin talked me through every step so it really alleviated my anxiety. It was sincerely the first time I have had my teeth cleaned with no pain. Dr McLaughlin then thoroughly went over my ex-rays and explained them to me thoroughly and provided options and helped me form a plan. After having some really unpleasant experiences in the past, I avoided the dentist for years. After having a broken tooth, I found Redmond Signature Dentistry and had my first appointment. I was terrified during my first visit, but that changed almost immediately. I cannot say enough about how amazing they are, and particularly how much I adore my hygienist, Aleana. She takes such good care of me and I actually look forward to my appointments. As crazy as it sounds, I always leave feeling like a VIP! I recommend RSD to everyone I know... especially when I hear from friends or co-workers who have had bad experiences in the past or are fearful. I truly cannot express how they have changed my life. I have very bad experience with Dr. Anthony McLaughlin. After replacing 3 adjacent crowns, I ended with one broken tooth and he didn't say that broke it. Another tooth that always hurts me because the crown was done with 3.5 half months image old and he tried to put it on the tooth. read more

Tony is extremely accomodating, and I think he gives really straight advice on whether one needs or does not need a procedure; I've never had him try to sell me on something that I didn't need. That is comforting when a new dentist and staff are there in the iffice formerly occupied by Dr. Files and his staff. My hygienist was someone I also know, but when I mentioned one of my teeth chipped, she called my new dentist in to take a look. He was new to me, and I was apprehensive, but my concerns were alleviated when he took the time to talk with me so we could get to know one a other even before he looked at my chipped tooth. Bravo!
