Wells Fargo Home Loans - Daniel B. Peterson (Mortgage Consultant)…read more We just want to let everyone know that Dan Peterson of Wells Fargo Home Loans was exceptional in his efforts to get our loan documents prepared and submitted to escrow in a very professional and timely manner. He was one of the best in getting the whole process of obtaining a loan, following through and making sure all t's are crossed and all the i's dotted. He was very easy to communicate with and he was always keeping us abreast in every phase. He returns phone calls and emails promptly, which in our opinion, should garner above a five star rating. We would highly recommend Dan to anyone who is looking to work with someone at Wells Fargo in obtaining a home loan. He basically makes it hassle free. All you have to do is provide the required information and it's auto pilot all the way to signing. Thanks Dan for everything. Sammy and Linda Torres Antioch, Ca. 94509

Need a home loan? DON'T GO HERE! We got a referral to go here and see Dan Peterson from a realtor…read morewe started working with..we quickly learned not to work with this realtor, unfortunately her recommendation had lasting repercussions. We came here at the beginning of our first time home buying process, we had no trouble getting pre-approved for our first loan. A few months later we had updated (higher) income, we resubmitted paperwork proving income and received a higher pre-approval letter. Whenever we had questions about our FHA loan or FHA approval on a particular property Dan couldn't answer them, and was not inclined to find out the answers. After months of searching we finally got into contract on a home, now that we were in contract Dan was seemingly more interested in helping us..however even though the home we were in contract on was significantly under our pre-approval budget in fact significantly less than our original pre-approved budget they were unable to back up their pre-approval offer and provide us a loan. We have good credit, our income was verified, we met all the qualifications for the loan, nothing had changed and yet here we are in contract and we are declined..We immediately contacted another lender who told us both Wells Fargo and BofA are infamous for issuing pre-approvals and then not backing them up with a loan and that they end up with these applications all the time and see them funded. The bright end to our story, is we got our loan, and we got our house..but no thanks to Wells Fargo. Save yourself the time, the headaches, the stress, the heartache, and the hard credit pulls and don't go to Wells Fargo! I recommend Zack Cooper at RPM!

Our Preferred experience with Preferred Rate during the loan process for the buyers of our home was…read moreextremely frustrating and costly. What should have been a straightforward transaction turned into a drawn-out ordeal that lasted over 40 days due to mismanagement, poor communication, and a lack of accountability. Key Issues: 1. Unacceptable Delays: Despite assurances that the loan was "clear to close," the process dragged on for weeks. This led to multiple missed deadlines and forced us to repeatedly extend rate locks, jeopardizing our own contingent purchase. 2. Lack of Accountability: Communication from Chris Lekousis, VP of Operations, and his team was vague and inconsistent. We were given conflicting information and left without concrete timelines. The team failed to address critical issues in a timely manner, requiring us to step in to advocate for progress. 3. Significant Financial Impact: Due to Preferred Rate's delays, we incurred over $3,000 in additional costs, including: 1st Rate Lock Extension: $750 2nd Rate Lock Extension: $375 3rd Rate Lock Extension: $375 Storage Fees for Belongings: $577 Option Money Paid to Sellers: $1,000 4. Prolonged Stress: The process forced us to live without our belongings for weeks, caused unnecessary stress, and left us scrambling to meet deadlines for our own purchase. he 40+ day delay and lack of professionalism demonstrated by Preferred Rate caused undue stress, financial loss, and significant inconvenience. Despite repeated follow-ups and clear communication of our concerns, the resolution has been inadequate. We strongly discourage others from working with Preferred Rate and recommend seeking a more reliable and professional lender.

These seminars are held on the second Saturdays of the month. I am in the early stages of planning to buy a home. I know some things, but definitely not everything and was looking to learn more. The seminar was very helpful with Rob in attendance who answered my questions about the loan process. He explained the different types of loans, programs, and everything about the process. They also had a realtor team in attendance to help explain more about that side of things. I would encourage those looking to be informed on the loan process to attend one of their seminars. I appreciated their time!

At that time, I knew very little about the process of going through a refinance, but she answered all of my millions of questions and taught me how the whole process works. She helped me not only to get rid of my PMI but kept my loan at a low rate. With my second refinance, she was able to find a loan that would give me cash back that I needed, and was able to lower my interest rate! She was very attentive to questions I had, even when her and her kids were sick at home with fevers! She knew I had a crazy schedule, but she would answer my questions at all hours of the day and night, sometimes responding to emails at 1 am after I got off work! With both loan processes, she kept me in the loop of what was going on at all times, letting me know when rates locked, when funding was going to happen, etc. She made the process very simple and easy both times. I was able to send most of the paperwork over their secured network, so I could send documents whenever was convenient for me, which is perfect because I do not work normal hours. After the process she even left a little gift on my porch! I definitely would recommend her 100 times over for any of your mortgage needs! Thanks Margaret!!

She explained the process in a way that we could understand and we began looking for our perfect home. What followed was a series of calls and questions, often after working hours. Although the wait was substantial because there was a lot of customers, the process was very smooth and informative. I chose right to bypass the online application because the person that helped me was very friendly with lots of information about the different accounts that were available. Like Patelco, my first CU, Travis offers great services without the bloat of your regular banks. Solid 4-stars with my first interaction with Travis Credit Union.

I met Nicole who was a knowledgeable and friendly banker. She was just awesome and an asset to the bank. I did deduct one point from a perfect score because Travis did not give me an ATM card unto the second try and then failed to mail a pin code which I have read in other reviews as well. They told me they went with a new company that delivers the PIN code and I have requested this several times and was ordered a few times but never came. I ordered it to the bank itself to be kept in their vault they said-NEVER came! I ordered it to the house-NEVER came! I gave up and don't use the ATM anyway as I go into the bank itself which you do not need a card like other banks so they tell me. I have never withdraw yet because it is in a multi-month CD so when the time comes I will update it it goes smoothly to withdraw my money or not?! That kind of makes me suspect in reality why are they having so much trouble with a PIN code being delivered to its customers-like do they want to prevent people taking their money out!? However, I did check and TCU has a good and solid bank rating. It is insured by the NCUA (like FDIC but for credit unions). At least making some money, since regular big banks are not giving anything other than pennies literally. So I will update if anything is questionable or not good, but so far it has been great and I earned a good amount. I did rollover into the best interest rate again although it was a bit lower, but still decent among the brick and mortar. You can get quite a bit sometimes with online banking, but I honestly do not trust online banking because there is no place you can go to if sometghing happens and they shut down and cannot reach them online or on the phone, who can you go to?! At least the brick and mortar places, you have someone you can yell at or get your money hopefully and I mean if they invested in a physical place with employees, etc more of a chance it is invested in its company. Updated to add: manager read my Yelp and personally called to help me with getting an ATM card and PIN code. She apologized for the problem and said she will do anything to make it right! Way to go- I appreciated it being a customer and not just an account number like in the big banks. I like TCU even more now!

I actually was working with another lender in the Brentwood area last year and they were very dismissive and ultimately, they could never get me funded. I had a couple issues that were holding me back like low credit score and past taxes. But Rob and his team were very creative - they put together a game plan and I was able to move in within a short time! I'm telling you - there is no way I would have been able to get funded right now if it weren't for the O'Malley team and their ability to overcome the obstacles. Home buying is a very stressful experience. I personally didn't even want to buy a home for this reason. I thought it was going to be way too hard, unachievable and way too stressful. But Rob and John W. were exceptional. I explained my concerns and what happened with the last lender and they said they'd take care of everything. They were able to help me get my score where it needed to be within a few short weeks. I can't say enough about this lender and I'm so thankful I had them. If I had to give them a grade, it would be 105%. A perfect score plus extra credit because that's exactly what they're worth. Thank you Summit Funding!
