After having our previous petsitter hike their rates up beyond what we could comfortably pay, we reached out to Jessica for help and she was nothing short of amazing. She was able to handle our often unfriendly chihuahua without problem and we could tell she really cared for our animals. As a veterinarian, I have pretty high standards for animal care. Our pets are family and we are always nervous trusting a new person to take care of them when we can't be there. Jessica isn't the type of person to send a text or email each time she visits, but was happy to give updates when asked and responded promptly to messages. When we got back home, I found a stack of progress notes with sweet tidbits about the pets for each visit. We are so happy we found her and would recommend her 100%!

This time we didn't want to do that to her, so the hunt was on for an alternative. Thanks to social media, I was already familiar with Jessica, the owner of Wags and Whiskers, due to me following her company on twitter quite some time ago. I have read her tweets, and read her great blog, and even purchased a toy she recommended for Angel that ended up being one of Angel's favorites! So, I decided to contact her and see if she was up for the task. I emailed her what I needed done, and she replied almost immediately with the answers to my questions! This was a great sign! Jessica requested that she come over and meet Angel to be sure Angel was comfortable with her, so we set a date a time. Jessica arrived promptly with a staff member and I could tell immediately she was passionate about her job. Angel and her got along great! We chatted about the details of when to feed etc, and I just knew Angel would be in good hands. When we returned from our trip, we were greeted by a happy dog! No nervousness or sickness like when she was at the kennels! On the counter we found notes that shared the things Jessica and Angel did during her visits...this was great!!! It was nice to know that Angel had a buddy while we were gone! If you are looking for someone who will come to your home while you are gone, and take care of your pets, I wholeheartedly recommend Wags and Whiskers for the job!!

She came in for a free meet and greet/consult before I left for my trip. She met my two dogs, filled out paper work, and we went over instructions of care and expectations. She was very detailed oriented and friendly. She sent emails and photo updates of the dogs during her pet sitting visits. She also left a daily written update about how the dogs did, if they ate, and some general info. I trust her care for my pets and when I returned from my trip, the dogs seemed well adjusted. Wow! I feel the need to update my review after Hurrican Beryl. I happened to be out of town during…read morethe storm, luckily. Exceptional care of pets as always. When I was one of the lucky ones that went several days without power, Crystal jumped in with extra visits, no problem. GUYS...She even cleaned out my fridge and freezer of spoiled food! YOU READ THAT RIGHT! Voluntarily, she got rid of perishables that were going to be a problem. Good thing, I didn't get power back for another 5 days! What a mess I would've had. She also improvised extra water for the cats through the outage and made everything work for the well being of everyone (physical for cats and mentally for me!). I am lucky to have found Crystal when I moved to Houston 4 years ago, would not hesitate to recommend to anyone!

This is my experience with Crystal's Cozy pets…read more My family and I have used Crystal's Cozy Pets for the last two years. We have had various animals that they have watched through out the years but most recently we have a 7 year old German Shepherd and a 7 month old Lab plus a kitten and two cats. Our sitter has been Hailey. In the beginning, everything was great! We would leave on a 10 day road trip and Hailey would come 4 times a day to take of the animals and we would get updates on the animals plus pictures. After some time, we started getting complaints about our dog Leo, the German Shepherd. That he was jumping on Hailey and causing scratches on her back. After that trip, I asked the owner, Crystal, if they could can still handle Leo and the verified "yes" that he was no problem. As time went on, we got Oso, a lab puppy. We just left on another 10 day road trip and received nothing but complaints and nagging about Oso almost every time Hailey went to our home. She complained so much about him, my husband and I stop replying to her messages. She accused my Oso of nipping and bitting her, which he has never done with me or my kids. I have video footage of her yelling at him and being aggressive towards him because once again, I have a 7 month puppy that will jump on her. Which 7 month old puppies will do! Hailey literally complained about almost everything about Oso. Aren't you a dog sitter? You are supposed to love animals but we definitely do not feel the love for our animals at all during this trip. Hailey is not qualified or has the the patience to deal with puppies or big dogs. 7 days into our trip, we are literally thousands of miles away and Crystal, the owner, calls us to say they no longer can take care of Oso and we need to come home! Or find another arrangement of care for him while we are still on the other side of the country! Are you kidding me?!? Thankfully, we found a lovely young man that was able to do it and he has been wonderful and says Oso is a wonderful puppy and has no issues with him! WOW! What a difference! Thankfully, since our family trip was intentionally ruined with Hailey and her complaints, we finally got to relax our last two days with the help with our new dog sitter, Junior! Honestly, we were not going to book with Crystal's Cozy Pets this trip, but wanted to give them another try. Boy, I should have listened to my gut. When you on vacation, you should be confident that you leave your pets in the hands of someone that will love and take care of them like you would and in all honesty, I don't feel like CCP's can do that.
