SDC Fine Arts Academy is a private school / pre-kindergarten program, and operate on a school-year…read morecalendar. They focus on early literacy through a language arts program featuring well-known stories that prepare students for formal reading. Arithmetic lessons develop number sense, computation, algebraic thinking, geometry, measurement, and problem-solving through engaging, hands-on activities. Science instruction focuses on nature and the scientific process, encouraging exploration and investigation with tools such as magnets, magnifying glasses, rulers, and balances. My child was 3yo when he started, and yes, he had to be potty-trained to start. I was shocked when they told me they do not take naps, as they are a school and not a day-care. However, when they explained they get "rest" time, but they only get them from 8:30-2:30, it wasn't long and they had lots to teach, so I was good! And boy did they teach! At the end of his first school year my 3-4yo could recite the pledge of allegiance to the US flag and the Texas Flag. He did daily affirmations. He had learned to count to over 100. He knew all of his letters, and could write his own name, and the name of the all the kids in his class! He knew his address, and his mommy and daddy's phone numbers. He knew who Mother Teresa, Vincent van Gogh, and Georgia O'Keefe were! This precocious child of mine even knew addition, subtraction, and some basic multiplication and division! Let me tell you, I was blown away with this Vintage education! The ladies that run this school, are the most caring, thoughtful people I have met. They truly care about these kids, and setting them up for Kindergarten success! Several of my child's classmates went directly to home schooling, and some went into Kindergarten early, due to the advanced learning styles of this school! I chose to keep my child another year, and I am blown away that my child can read independently to himself at 4yo! I can't wait to see what happens when he turns 5, and for the rest of the school year! If YELP could give a 6 or a 10 STARS, these ladies would deserve every one. If you want your child to have a head-start before kindergarten, I would highly success you talking with these people, and joining my child in class! 5 STARS for the LOVE OF LEARNING!

Very organized and the party area had plenty of seats, tables, and you can bring in any food you want. We had pizza delivered and staff was great to help. The building Spark was located within was also artsy and cool. Highly recommended! The only thing difficult was the parking. Be careful of no parking areas.

There was an art installation (similar or part of Meow) and so much fun to take a look at this vibrant and funky art. For Insta people, lots of fun photo opportunities! There is a giant steel structure/installation that has lots of space to climb in, slide through and explore. So much to see and we spent a good 60 mins of play there. Make sure to check the corners ( you're allowed to go in) so you don't miss anything. We almost missed an area. Also there is some areas to do some art as well. We didn't stop to do it but it's there. One slide can be intense, so probably not for small kiddos. Probably good for kids 7 and above (6 if they are courageous) just because of the climbing structure areas and bars width. Parents with young children should follow, they literally can land up somewhere else and some areas they do need to climb up and might need help. Definetly wear sneakers. I wore the wrong shoes and couldn't go into certain areas. Great concept and fun!

Update time!!!!! A…read morefew years after hosting a birthday party here, we decided to enroll our child in their weekly classes, and it has been a wonderful experience ever since. One of the biggest draws for our family is the variety of offerings, especially the weekday homeschool classes, day camps, and parent night out events. Since the change in ownership, I couldn't be more pleased with the direction of the program under Mrs. Chris. My son genuinely looks forward to each class and continues to grow stronger and more confident every week. Mrs. Chris and her staff are incredibly skilled with children and provide exceptional coaching in a positive, encouraging environment. I truly appreciate the thoughtful structure of the program, from the engaging exercises and skill development to the excellent communication and organization for parents. The skills tracker is a fantastic tool that keeps parents informed while allowing the kids to celebrate their progress, and the app makes everything even more convenient. The pricing is very fair, and we couldn't be happier with our experience.
