I guess when you put that together you have the makings of the next Mary Lou Retton or the one from Allen Texas who won gold some years back. Anyways, I put her in a program in Denton and we didn't stay to long. Not that it was bad, but it looked more like daycare than actually learning much. And with 8-10 kids in a group, she wasn't getting the attention needed to actually accomplish anything. Granted the place had plenty of trophies lining the cabinets but whatever..... Enter the suggestion of my ex-wife and we found this place. Yes it's smaller, but her class size? A maximum of five kids. Her classes have been her and a little boy, and sometimes another girl. So only two to three kids? I think that's much better and I think she might get things done now. This place is more on the tumbling aspect, so I noticed that there wasn't a balance beam or a vault, but as long as my kiddo is happy, I'm happy.

I can truly say that KAP has a curriculum and kids are actually learning! They also emphasize character essentials; focusing on different character traits monthly. My son started reading before graduating the Pre-K class, at 4yrs old. Safety has never been a concern. I appreciate the thorough reports through Tadpoles and receiving pictures throughout the day. If I ever did have a concern, it was addressed immediately. They do call to let you know of any accidents or incidents; and they have a process for documenting it for record keeping. 10/10 all around!

As a teacher myself, I had high standards for a preschool that would be preparing my child for kindergarten. The teachers and staff fully support my child's intellectual, as well as his social emotional well being, exactly what he needs to be successful upon entering elementary school. This is not your "run of the mill" daycare. The Stone family has gone above and beyond to keep me in the loop about my child's academic progress. At the age of 5, he is a reader and is performing above level on national norm based assessments. As we are enrolling him in school, we are confident that he is ready for kindergarten. We will continue to keep him in the after school program once school starts in the fall as well.

The teachers are incredibly patient and skilled at fostering both educational growth and emotional development. We love the teachers, the administrative team, and have celebrated many milestones with classmates & their parents. KA fosters a fun, safe, and healthy environment for the kids, teachers, and parents. The teachers are always creating engaging learning activities for my son. The teachers are super helpful with techniques of transition like bottles to cups, pacifier weening, eating solids, trying new foods, potty training, riding a tricycle, etc. Drop-offs are a breeze, my son looks forward to seeing his friends and teachers each day (if they are on vacation he totally welcomes the change with ease bc all of the teachers are fantastic and he is familiar with all of them) Pickups are also joyful, the excitement to see me and joy to end the day by giving hugs and sharing goodbyes around the classroom and through out the hallways fills my heart! During COVID their mask mandate, dropoff/pickup routine and cleaning protocols kept our minds at complete ease (for our little guy health and a member in our household personal health concerns during unprecedented times). She's passionate about what she does, she was able to break down swimming concepts into understandable terms that just clicked. Been going to these classes for over a few months, laboring through it and NO PROGRESS whatsoever. This got me really frustrated thinking about quitting. Until Shannon was subbing for an instructor and WOW!!! I made so much progress in that one class more than I did over the past few unfruitful sessions. Her pro tips on how to prevent goggles from fogging up, how to breath, how to splash, how to make getting into the pool a lot less painful, etc. Oh em gee, seriously QUALITY instructions, she's very diligent, made sure we were pacing ourselves and kept monitoring progress and providing realtime feedback.
