My daughter and I are on vacation visiting my college best friend of 35 years who lives in Decatur. My daughter's wire was poking her in her upper cheek. I called our orthodontist in Oklahoma to see if we could make an appointment for when we returned. Our orthodontist was going to be taking his vacation once we returned, so we would have to go see another orthodontist that would be covering while he is on vacation. His office staff suggested that we try to find a local orthodontist that might be able to see her while we are still in Decatur, so that she did not have to stay uncomfortable while on vacation. I called one office and it was going to be $150 to clip a wire. I called a second office and they were going to charge $360 to clip the wire. My best friend and her husband suggested that I call Decatur Orthodontics, so I did. Allyssa was my first interaction with the office. She was kind and super helpful. She was able to get us in right away. Our visit was less than 5 minutes once we arrived. The office staff was helpful, kind, and extremely efficient. The office was super clean and very organized. They were kind enough to take care of this for us as a complimentary service. If we lived in Decatur, this is where we would go! Top notch service from beginning to end. I'm new in Atlanta and was looking for new Orthodontic services. Decatur Orthodontics provided a free no hassle consultation where I learned of the services they had to offer. The office was clean with updated technology and the front desk staff greeted me as soon as I walked in. They took scans, xrays and pictures of my teeth and I met with Dr. Francis soon after. He was very thorough and I instantly felt like I made the right decision. We are in the area temporarily and I called to see if they could help with my daughters wire poking out the back bracket and into her gums. Not only did they get us right in in a non-patient day, they did not charge for the supplies or time it took to fix the issue. They were so friendly and gentle with my daughter. I had a great experience last week with Dr. Francis. My retainer I have had since high school is in dire need of replacement (I'll spare you the details there), and I have a tooth that has moved significantly since my days of braces. He and his staff were all smiles and very professional. They patiently took me through all my care and payment options while I asked a ton of questions, and I still don't know what I'm going to do yet, but I'll definitely stick with this practice. It's a brand new office near downtown Decatur, so a few pluses there - everything is shiny and new, they're using the latest and greatest technology, and after my appointment, I ran a bunch of errands near the square. I'm pregnant also, so it's good to have a good orthodontist in mind for when the time comes to bring my little girl there. Love these guys. The team is super friendly no rush thru doctor , they will take their time to explain and make sure you feel comfortable. I travel 30 miles just to come to this location , it's well worth it , THERE IS NO WAITING TIME!!! What a plus . I have had a bad experience with 2 orthos in my area and got referred to him , best referral I ever had . Have one more appointment left and I am all done (and happy with my result) Dr. Oral works with anyone wether you have insurance or no. In my case I didn't have insurance , yea yea I know. But he worked with me on payments and a good deal ! My 10 year old daughter got braces by Dr. Oral as well ( and yes that is his real last name , what a trusting plus) she never complaint and was actually proud to have them. I've been coming here for a while now, it's been a year to be exact. I looked at this location for a free consultation in reference to getting braces. Not only did I like the price, they were friendly and did explain to me in great detail what I needed to have done. Can I add that Dr. Francis is not bad on the eyes...... Anyway, the atmosphere is great and everyone is always professional and provide great customer service, even when I have to reschedule my appointments, they don't give me a hard me. My teeth are coming along nicely and while I hate getting my braces tightened, I can see the changes that are being made. My son had braces put in for upper teeth last Dec, and the wire at the end were too long and sharp, causing him pain every day. He had to put on was a few times a day. When we called about it, the tech didn't mention any other solution besides putting on wax, so my son had to deal with it for 2 months until his next appointment. I asked parents who's kids have braces and they don't have such painful experience. Last Wed my son had braces put in for his lower teeth, and same thing happened. When I called, the answer is only a technician will be in the office until 12 noon today, and Dr. Frances won't be in next Mon, Wed and Fri. I suppose the tech could address the issue but twice and for so long makes me worry. read more
