I was unloading and stacking round bales and a front tractor tire blew. The young lady I spoke with on the phone was extremely helpful, but wasn't sure they could get to me. She did some checking and she found a way to get someone to me and they had the tire I needed on hand. The tech that came out was friendly, fast and efficient. Well a 5 is not enough regarding the fantastic job Emily and Tim did regarding my alignment and new tires Tim explained to me how my ball joints were non existent which is frustrating as I had the alignment done about a year ago by another shop Apparently a pretty shoddy job Then I was passed over to Emily!!! Lord help a wild man that young lady knows her tires! It is always difficult to find an honest and trustworthy mechanic shop. My husband has a 30yr old Chevy pickup that he does a lot of the work on himself. Recently, there were some major wiring issues that he did not have the time to tackle, so we brought it to DT to have them fix it. Not only were they very eager to repair it (given the age) they gave us a fair quote and timeframe. Not only was it ready in the time they quoted us, but the total bill was a few $$ less than the original quote! These guys know their stuff, are honest, and just good people in our opinion! Excellent repair shop. After driving thousands of miles, these guys took care of us when we had uneven wear. They gave fair pricing for two tires and repaired another tire that had a nail in it. Cameron met me in the parking lot as soon as I parked. Told him what I needed and he made several suggestions that led to 4 new tires, which I needed. They we're extremely busy, I did make an appointment for 3:30. Employees were very helpful and kept me update on the progress. It took about 1hour and 15min for the total time. I thought that was great for 4 tires and balance, considering how busy they were and short staffed. Be patient people, these young guys are working hard and they have great attitudes! These guys are awesome. I've gotten 2 sets of tires and a set of rims and let me tell you, David took care of me. He knows his stuff and he will steer you in the right direction. The service is awesome, everyone is knowledgeable and friendly. They have water and a Keurig machine. Decatur tire also does alignments, and other minimal maintenance. Traveling thru pulling a trailer. Trailer tire lost air, bad valve stem. Saw the "big" tire store and stopped in. They were rude and not helpful. Couldn't fit us in. My husband even said he would take the tire off. Literally just needed a valve stem. Found Decatur Tire on the map and called. Super gentleman said come on over. Got there at 3 and they had us taken care of at 3:10. Highly recommend this store. read more

First, I am not from California. I live only 30 miles from Decatur. I brought my car to Decatur Tire for alignment . Service was refused by their technician because of "excessive component wear" in front end. No report or analysis was given to support refusal of service. My impression was the technician did not want to work on the car because (1) the car was over 20 yrs old. A 1997 Lincoln Town Car w/ only 103,000 miles or (2) he was too busy to work on an "old" car. My impression was this car was below his "standards" to warrant his time. It is difficult to rate service since I received none. read more

I went in to get an alignment and they told me it couldn't be done because the two front lower control arms were bent and said it would cost 700 dollars more for them to fix that part there and it needed to be taken care of before I got the alignment. I told my boyfriend what they said and he got under my car and said that it wasn't bent at all so he took it to J&A on 380 in Bridgeport and they took care of the alignment! The control arms were not bent and I did not need to pay all that money. Decatur tire flat out lied. read more

Good store and decent people but man they can move slow....not because they are overly busy......lots of stopping and talking during jobs walking away and showing each other phones....people walking in to work area from outside to chat with workers who stop the job and stand to talk awhile. Recommend to drop your job and come back when you can....watching the process can be a little irritating when you sit and wait. read more

Very nice people. Shop gets busy so you may have to wait. They usually carry several different brands & sizes of tires for cars & trucks.

While on vacation I realized I had picked up a bolt in my tire. No clue where to go so when I googled tire stores Decatur tire was the first to pop up. When my gps got me lost trying to get there I called and they talked to me until I was able to find my way to them. Once there I was taken care of in a timely manner with professionalism. Great job!
