I did not pay the remaining balance and filed arbitration with OCBA (Orange County Bar Association). I fought some of the charges Swati had billed me for and won! I received a good amount in reimbursement and am extremely happy with the outcome of the arbitration. Before arbitration, I had the opportunity to talk with Swati. She refused to talk about the fees and claimed I was "bashing" her on Yelp (her exact word was "bashing"). I simply told her that was my honest opinion/review, and I had every right to do so. She then threatened to leave a response to my review. I can assume her response will be denying the claims I have made...blah blah blah. Now, let's get back to the arbitration. I have no legal experience at all, and I represented myself without an attorney representing me. I was able to get most of the fees in dispute reimbursed. As an "experienced" attorney, Swati had the upper hand. However, she came unprepared and even had the audacity to ask the arbitrator if she could email her a "document" the next day. I do not recommend Swati Desai and her Law Firm. There are plenty of other options in the Orange County area that are more affordable and honest.
