She went out of her way to tell me! She didn't have to, but this clearly shows her kindness. When I got to my classroom, I realized that a wall calendar I purchased was missing. I checked everywhere but it was no where to be found. There's no way it fell out and it wasn't in my car. I got charged for it but I was thinking maybe it didn't get bagged. I figured I'd go back to the store with my receipt, tell them and see what happens. I was banking on probably having to buy a new one which bummed me out because I'd already spent so much money on my classroom. I explained the situation and the cashier said, "Let's go check it out." We went to the calendars, he told me to point out the one I bought, and he handed it to me. He said, "You have an honest face, I don't even need to see your receipt. Have a wonderful day." I think his name is Richard?? Just a reminder there are honest, good and genuine human interactions still out there. Honesty and kindness go a long way!
