Chris and his team were efficient (on time everyday - worked on Saturdays) easy to communicate with and kept me informed throughout the process. Asking for my input and adjusting to my preferences. When discussing the estimate and hashing out the details my Dad suggested we add a 'Time' clause ie 'If you go longer than the agreed upon time frame of 5 weeks there will be a monetary penalty', well Chris did not bat an eyelash and agreed without hesitation - he knows his crew and how they work so was not at all worried about running long - and to our delight he was RIGHT!! They estimated 5 weeks for a basement remodel to include demo, a true bedroom, tv room and a fully built bathroom with plumbing and were done in 4!!! We have been living in the space for almost a month now and have had no issues, no surprises - not one!! I find this to be a point of praise for AB Remodeling!! Chris and his crew were respectful of our home, were helpful in general and cleaned up all of the construction mess - to include hauling away all the trash. This really is a one stop shop kinda company, demo, planning, building, electric, tiling to plumbing... they did it all with ease. So helpful to us. This was our first foray into home renovations with an outside contractor and we couldn't be more pleased. Beautiful , clean and quality work! They put down protective matting as they went in and out of the basement, swept the floors daily, cleaned up debris as they worked, and treated our home with real care. To make things even easier, we simply picked out samples from Home Depot, and Chris and his team handled all the materials. The entire process was smooth and stress-free. All we had to do was make one call, do a little planning, and enjoy our new basement one to two weeks later. And honestly, our basement is now one of our favorite parts of the house. The scope of the project grew as we realized that we needed more things done in the house before we could move in, which included: installing several interior and exterior doors, removing and reinstalling a built-in set of drawers, installing and fixing flooring, removing a built-in wet bar in the basement, doing some work in a bathroom so we could put in a new vanity and bathtub, removing a wall between two rooms so one could be turned into a walk-in closet, making a small alcove into a closet, stripping down a door to be refinished, making shelf supports for our long pantry shelves so they don't bow from the weight, and helping fix a basement leak that was due to the prior owner not properly fastening his deck to the foundation. This review is about a total makeover of my very small upstairs bathroom. Since I told Huck at the outset that I wanted to save money where ever I could, he made recommendations and gave me options where ever he could. He sent numerous emails about products and materials which helped me finalize my plans. save money=sm. I agreed to remove the paneling=sm. He recommended wainscoting from floor half way up and new drywall the rest. Topnotch Results! I removed 90% of the tile=sm. He recommended waterproof laminate flooring. Very Happy! I installed new vanity, new faucet, 2 new lever door handles, and brushed polished all door hinges=sm. My next door neighbor had some drywall repair done and recommended Huck.
