Ryan came to my apartment and tested for mold. The landlord refused to pay for it, so we came out of pocket. the cost was a little more than I had expected since I have never had a need for this type of service, it was well worth the expenditure. We thought perhaps the strong smell was coming from the attic, but in fact a TON of mold was found in our air conditioning unit. We never even considered it. After a day or so we had results and an extremely detailed report on what needed to be done. This company doesn't do the tear out (which is a good thing), so they gave us some contacts which we passed along to our property management. Ryan and his company are very professional. I was impressed with his knowledge and willing to explain everything in such detail. Not sure if we are going to move or stay. Ryan and his team are simply extraordinary. In the process of doing some home upgrades we found what was likely (and turned out to be) asbestos. My husband and I purchased our first home. We paid a company to scrape the popcorn ceilings that contained asbestos throughout the house. It was a big job, that cost a lot of money. So we hired Ryan to run air tests to ensure everything was removed properly. Ryan is an amazing communicator and so very helpful. The contractors finished the job early, so he drove all the way from Santa Monica to Ventura in the evening... the day before he was supposed to come. It was his idea.... he just cared that much to get us our results on time! He let himself in, locked up, followed up with us. He was a life saver because he noticed the vents were not sealed properly for the job. The contractors had to clean out the vents and pay for more testing done by Ryan. Luckily it all passed and we felt safe coming into our new home. We really felt like Ryan had our backs and made something stressful easier on us. Very grateful for Ryan and Decker Environmental. First, Ryan was incredibly responsive and thorough via Yelp messenger over the weekend, which allowed for a Tuesday AM lead sampling appointment. Second, he was on time, efficient, thoughtful, informative, and clearly serious about doing a great job.
