I would not recommend this company. First off, they overcharge and are much higher than the going cost. It took less than 20 minutes to obtain a sample from an unfurnished 697 sq ft condo. The sample was from the attic, which had a large door to access, and was wide open. The sample area was directly above the attic door. The charge for this 20 minutes, $550. Then there was an additional lab fee of $85. When I complained about the price, in all fairness, they did discount the bill $50. I told them we had a 2 1/2 hr home inspection that was only $450. I will also say the report (from the lab) was very thorough. Secondly, we were told we would get the report in 2 days. Well 2 days was really 7 days. I called and spoke to Carly on the second day and was told the specimen was at the lab and I could expect a report the following day. That did not happen. In the meantime our home closed escrow w/o the report

"Multiple Layers" of Deception and Unprofessionalism…read more.. In my correspondence with Gene K., a representative of Scope Environmental (cut and pasted from Yelp chat room) mentions "We can definitely help. Our asbestos inspection, survey, and lab results pricing is very competitive. It's $625 for the inspection and report. Each sample is $35. No other fees. Generally, results and reports will be available within 24-48 hours". Gene K. also mentioned the following "Some samples have multiple layers, and that can not be determined prior to taking the physical sample. You are welcome to call in so that you can properly comprehend the procedures". However, UNDISCLOSED FEES can creep into the price charged to the customer, e.g. such as the need to test "multiple layers" of one material; so, "No other fees" is (deliberately) misleading and therefore, deceptive. A field inspector (Daisy Flamenco) of Scope Environmental, arrived at the project site and upon seeing the area that needed sampling, asked the homeowner for a ladder to get her modest stature to the sampling material areas. When sampling the ceiling, Ms. Flamenco was barely able to reach the sampling surface (needed to be on her tippy toes), even with a step ladder (provided by the homeowner). ALL sample takers must come fully prepared for all conditions at the work site and not rely on the homeowner to provide tools, equipment or assistance of any kind to do THEIR job! Ms. Flamenco was dressed casually, no respirator or other appropriate protective equipment or gear, which is not only hazardous to herself, but sends the message to the homeowner (overseeing the work), that asbestos is really not that harmful. Even two and a half years following the end of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is appropriate if all workers who enter a home, to wear a mask or at least offer to wear one, but Ms. Flamenco failed to show the occupants of the residence, such consideration. Most (professional) people return to bad pre-pandemic habits, even if to protect the home's occupants from the common cold. What is really inconsiderate and unprofessional, is that Ms. Flamenco had disturbed suspected asbestos containing materials by scraping and cutting away material from parts of a furnace and its ducts, leaving the furnace and ducts out-of-order, i.e. if no asbestos or other harmful materials were found, the furnace and ducts could not be safely and effectively used without first repairing them. Leaving carcinogenic materials exposed (cutting, scraping or otherwise removing and exposing asbestos) to those who live at the work site, is hazardous and unprofessional and should never be done this way. Exposing harmful materials puts people and animals at risk of exposure to carcinogens and asbestosis causing particles! Asbestos sample takers should take measures to seal or otherwise cover, exposed asbestos containing materials (when they are through sampling them), to protect home occupants. This experience was a wake-up call to how incompetent workers can make a bad situation, worse!

We contacted Scope Environmental because they specialize in a wide range of services, including sewage and mold remediation. Veronika was courteous, highly responsive, and scheduled a team to come out the same day. Peter and his crew were professional, efficient, and thorough. They quickly extracted the standing water, debris, and sewage, then applied absorbent materials to the wet areas to remove moisture. They also installed heaters and drying equipment to prevent further damage. I appreciated that they returned over the following days to monitor progress and ensure everything was drying properly. Their support during such a stressful situation made a world of difference. I highly recommend this reliable, family-owned company for anyone needing this kind of emergency cleanup services.

If you want water damage resolved quickly, they are what you are looking for. They were not the cheapest quote but they were the fastest. I got quotes from other places that included drywall repair but they were a few days out. So I decided to go with Green Planet because they could start immediately. The only thing was that their quote didn't include drywall repair. I was told it's another dept and I would need to get a quote or I can find my own handyman. Ok how much can it be? Well after the water damage was resolved, I started getting quotes for drywall repair. I found out it was very expensive. In fact, well past the quote from the other places that included drywall repair. If I were to do it again, I would get quotes for the complete work so I can compare apples to apples.

I am deeply concerned with the testing practices and reporting accuracy of West Coast Environmental…read moreTesting. This firm was hired by my property management company to sample an HVAC system in my residential unit following a chronic maintenance issue. The individual inspector, Mitchell Schonfeld, provided a hand-typed incomplete Word document summary report explicitly claiming there were "no contamination concerns" and "no remediation needed" regarding a surface swab of the AC unit. However, when I requested the actual, official laboratory analysis data sheets from PRO-LAB (Report #1941296) that this company utilized, the physical data pages completely exposed the text in their Word document as a total misrepresentation. The official laboratory results for the exact same AC Condenser sample featured a capitalized, clear conclusion of "UNUSUAL" and documented an astronomical 9,000 spores per square centimeter of Cladosporium mold alongside 1,200 counts of active Fungal Hyphae (active fungal growth roots) Furthermore, while their Word document claimed moisture readings were completely "normal" at 12% or below, the inspector simultaneously contradicts himself in the exact same paragraph by noting visible water damage on the ceiling and water stains on the AC closet floorboard and intake area. Because they failed to perform actual moisture mapping and missed a massive 17%-20% active structural wall leak, they declared the unit normal while overlooking a major infrastructure failure. Additionally, the paperwork completely lacked the mandatory signed Chain of Custody tracking document required for a certified environmental report, and the Word document downplayed an active raw count of 266 spores per cubic meter inside the AC intake air test. To make matters worse, the inspector recommended a non-compliant 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water mixture to wipe down the area, a practice that directly violates EPA residential mold guidelines and OSHA standards because bleach cannot penetrate porous substrates and its water content actively feeds underlying hyphae root structures. Because this firm's Word document downplayed a heavy 9,000 spore colonization and completely missed the active infrastructure leak, I was forced to hire an independent industrial hygiene firm out of pocket to protect my health. This second inspection uncovered the true extent of the damage, documenting an active 17%-20% structural moisture leak and 45,000 raw spore counts inside the air ducts. Avoid this firm if you expect thorough, scientifically accurate reporting. I whole heartedly believe that this company intentionally provided false reporting in special interest of the property management - intending to avoid costly proper repair methods and they are being reported to state licensing boards.

To start, Frank is one of the most considerate, kind, and genuinely knowledgeable people I've come across in any business setting. From day one, it was clear that he cared--not just about doing the job, but about helping us navigate a stressful situation and meet tight deadlines. He went out of his way to accommodate our timeline when he really didn't have to, which speaks volumes about his character. His communication is on another level. He responds to calls and texts almost immediately, keeps you constantly informed, and makes sure you never feel in the dark about what's happening. That level of responsiveness and transparency is rare, and it made a huge difference for us. Beyond that, his entire team operates with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail. They were punctual, respectful of our home, and clearly take pride in the quality of their work. Everything was handled efficiently, cleanly, and with care. It's hard to find people like that. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Frank and PropertyHealth to anyone. If you're looking for a team that is reliable, communicative, and truly cares, you won't find better.
