Full disclosure, I did not end up hiring Robert to do my mold test, but I had to post a review based on his stellar communication and customer service. I was looking for a fast turnaround on mold testing after a tenant complaint, so l sent out the Yelp bat signal with the option to contact multiple vendors at once. Robert and Bye Bye Mold was one of the first company to come back to me with immediate info, an appointment, and plenty of information on pricing and a scope of work. Robert was flexible, easy to contact and communicate with, and he messaged me well after and before business hours. Basically he responded immediately no matter what time. He went above and beyond, so he will definitely be my first call the next time l need mold testing. We reached out to George with Bye Bye Mold and he was able to help us within 48 hours. He was super professional and personable, and kept good communication with us after the testing was completed. The report we received back was thorough; it included the lab findings, informational summary about different types of mold, as well as all the photos he took during the inspection. Since he only does the inspection, there isn't a conflict of interest if the tests come back positive for mold; he has no incentive to remediate. This is really important if you have a situation that requires legal action. His prices are reasonable compared to other inspectors, but it is 100% worth every penny and I would pay for the service I received again. I went in for a routine physical a few weeks ago and it had been brought to my attention that I have traces of mold in my blood and that I am also allergic to. There were three different types that were found and two of them are caused by wetness. Irate and upset, I immediately started going through Yelp to find someone that can do an immediate test on my place where I have been a resident since 1999. I read some reviews on George and someone had mentioned that he was empathetic to their situation. That alone made me contact him! I had a phone consult with George was was very responsive. I let him know immediately that almost everyone in this building is on a low income (some Section 8) and that there is a high probability that we have all been exposed to mold. George REALLY LISTENED and payed close attention to everything I was telling him. He also addressed the issues and concerns with me over the call and was BRUTALLY HONEST about how moisture levels can go higher or lower depending on how the weather is - if rainy, more wetness and high numbers whereas hot sunny weather will result in dryer walls and less numbers. He was very specific and even suggested that he come back and schedule an appt once we had more rain. Alas, my situation could be an emergency so I OK'd the test. George arrived and I immediately felt like I made a new friend. He was courteous and clean, brought along all of his equipment which he took me through step by step so I knew what was to be expected. And he was wearing a Baby Yoda bbcap so I knew we would get along. His friendly, warm nature was really awesome and he never "talked down" to me in any way - mademe very aware in laymans' terms of how certain landlords operate and even the difference in tests. So that alone, I felt more confident in how I was going to address this with my landlord and the Board of Health in upcoming days. I called Bye Bye Mold during escrow on my townhouse. I'm sure glad I did! Robert found presence of dry mold inside my kitchen closet. I decided to have another company investigate this mold and remove it. If it weren't for Robert with Bye Bye Mold we would have lived for who knows how long with this mold. Upon further inspection my mold contractor found the mold was caused by a leaking bathtub pipe behind the closet and under the stairs. Let this be a lesson to everyone. If you are reading my comments now? I'm sure you are doing a thorough due diligence for a mold inspection to give you a peace of mind. Look no more, Bye bye Mold is the right choice for you. I know George will give me an independent assessment as he has no business in mold remediation. It's true i have to pay him when compared to other mold remediation companies, which usually offer a free inspection. Many times, they may recommend some mold remediation work later which may be very expensive. There's no free lunch, you somehow will have to pay. I sent my concern to George and he promptly responded. He listed out all the pricing and options upfront. He's very honest and tried to lower my expense during this unprecedented time. He came on time on the inspection date. George was very patience in answering all my questions. He wanted to make sure I understand the process. I specifically asked George to go out to check my attic which I suspected where the problem may be. He did it and waived my extra charge. A couple days later, George called me with the result. Fortunately, the sample results showed I have no mold presence. What a relief! George sent me the entire written report which was very thoroughly prepared.
