WND Flooring & Remodeling - WND Flooring: floor leveling?!?

    WND Flooring & Remodeling

    (3 reviews)

We hired WND flooring for a floor project, a few years back and for the floor project he did a good…read morejob...but then...we gave him an opportunity to do "more", as he had showed customers and projects for additions, etc. and we liked him as a person. So late summer of 2022, we hired him to renovate a 3-season room, re-haul our front porch and build a new pool shed. Between the services, delays, failed inspections and REDOs (yup we had to have a good deal of work redone because it wasn't up to code), we told WND that we would not be moving ahead with the Front Porch. Deposits and/or payments in full had been made for all 3 projects. We were at our wits end. Then, trying to move forward and just finish our relationship with a delivery of a fully paid for manufactured shed, he ends up basically ghosting us, keeping our funds, all while taking on other work. We went through nearly a year of run around and excuses for lack of delivery for a shed delivery (that was PAID for in full (check cashed in October of 2022) that was never delivered. His "buddy", the one he purchased the shed from, was unable to deliver, etc. etc., etc. We have pictures of the shed we paid for and the check cashed, as well as descriptions from Willy and confirmation of size, cost, etc. and as you can see, our "pad for the shed" still sits empty. After MONTHS of excuses, the option we presented to him was to just return the fees (Totaling $ 9,900.00. Of course this never happened. When we asked for his current insurance binder (to go after his insurance company as they could deal with his "friend" directly (the insurance waiver he gave had expired), he "couldn't find it". Monday, July 31 we gave Willy an option to reimburse funds, or we would need to go through legal proceedings. We were looking to be reimbursed the full cost of the shed (cashed $8,400.00 and an additional $1500 for electrical services for the shed that were already paid for, and we have cancelled checks into Willy's account that verify this). He stated on the July 31st to my son, as well as texted me after I again contacted him about the situation at 11:13 at night ,that he would have a certified check, which did not happen. At that point, we were not going to go after other items that should have been reimbursed. Not having the shed led to the destruction of several of our power tools and lawn/gardening/pool equipment because of the elements and the inclement weather is sustained as it waited on our pool deck for MONTHS for him to deliver the shed (even have a nice picture of what he allegedly purchased). As stands to date the first picture is of where the shed was supposed to go. Never delivered. The "blue shed" was what we paid in full for, as were all of the electrical hook ups! As the previous reviews note, it has been a nightmare. We are seeking restitution. My family does not want anyone else to have to go through this. Our Saga started in September of 2022. I wish the reviews were on here then.

I would give less stars if I could.. The positive Willy has a great vision of designing a space and…read morea pretty decent framer. He is not a finish carpenter and should not represent himself as one. We have more trim pieces throughout his work to cover edges. I wish we knew this before hiring him. Also found out he is not honest. We (stupidly trusted him) paid him in full for windows and a slider and labor in November, along long story short.. he never came back to put in either.. finally showed up with the wrong window brought casement instead of replacement. Took him 8 hours he blamed us and the house.. We no longer trusted him,After many nasty texts from him...we agreed he would refund the money we had paid him. This took weeks to months when he gave me a check , it was out of a closed account ( cough: by accident) the police became involved with threat of a felony charge.. it took him 7 days before he met me at the police station with a cashiers check. This saga began in November.. we dealt with this till the following June! Beware..

Ruy Barbosa is high off the charts in professionalism. He was responsive to our questions, and…read moreintuitive about our interests. He communicated with us throughout the project of installing a new Timberteck deck. His crew worked straight on through from start to finish without empty lapses of time. The men are so highly skilled. We continue to be happy with our beautiful deck. Therefore, we asked Ruy to install a Timberteck stair rail at our front doors, which also has withstood the test of time. We'd been concerned that installments like this would compromise the brick, whereby requiring a total rebuild, but a rebuild wasn't necessary. He also advise us on an easy and effective fix to divert water from flowing from the gutter and freezing to ice on those brick steps in winter. Based on the outcome of these projects, and our experience in their progression, we highly recommend this company.

Brutal experience with them back in 2022-2024. Would take weeks and, more than once, even months…read moreto get them to come back and do any work (see screenshots of my text interactions with them -- note the dates). They were supposed to build a new rubber roof. It started leaking on 3 separate occasions (which btw was never fully fixed -- we moved on to different contractors who did address the issues). And like I said, it would take months for them to actually come back and attempt to fix anything. Often they'd come by, look at the damage, then I wouldn't hear from them for multiple weeks. Meanwhile, more damage continues to accrue to the walls and ceilings. The internal fixes they applied for the water damage were just patch jobs. They just plastered and painted over. Meanwhile, the insulation behind the wall was soaked and accrued black mold that we had to address later. Also worth pointing out a major blunder at the beginning of the project (see attached videos and pics). They opened up the roof, and left it open for multiple days without doing any work. Well of course a major rainstorm came by (which was on the weather forecast well in advance). Alll that water poured into the house in the middle of the night setting off fire alarms. It was a nightmare to deal with on my end.

We had a very disappointing experience with Drew O'Shaughnessy Construction, based on the following…read morefacts: 1. Timing- the bathroom remodel took well longer than expected. Mr. O'Shaughnessy explained that he took on nine different jobs at one time and that it was too much. We discussed that he was accepting jobs given the higher price in the market, but that he could not fulfill customer expectations. 2. Cost- the price of this remodel was high, but came by recommendation. Upon completion of the job, we paid Mr. O'Shaughnessy immediately as requested. When re-reviewing the contract to ensure everything was aligned, we had certain questions, but Mr. O'Shaughnessy was not willing to discuss further. After many follow-ups clearly showing that we double paid for materials at a considerable amount, only then did he refund that particular portion. 3. Quality - the tiled shower floor has come undone in a large area around the drain twice since the initial installation. Mr. O'Shaughnessy admitted he used the wrong tile adhesive, as well as not putting the proper support under the drain. The grout is now two different colors in the shower. In addition, the shower door seal has also had to be replaced twice by his sub-contractor. Given this was now the third time these items have been reinstalled, we asked for a signed warranty, but Mr. O'Shaughnessy would not agree to this and stand behind his work. Unfortunately, we cannot recommend Drew O'Shaughnessy Construction and have written correspondence supporting the facts above. Our only ask of Mr. O'Shaughnessy (multiple times) was to sign a warranty, so that we would not have to write any negative reviews. This ultimately never happened, which as we explained, sends quite a strong message to his customers about his own confidence in his work product.
