This used to be my go-to spot for getting my nails done. I appreciated the cleanliness, the quiet atmosphere, and the quality of the manicure and pedicure. The staff were always nice. I stopped going to Deco Nail Spa because of the owner/manager. My family gave me a gift card to the spa for my birthday one year. After a mani/pedi, I used all the cash I had on me at the time to tip the woman who did my nails. When I paid with the gift card, the owner/manager insisted I pay the sales tax in cash. He refused to take the sales tax out of the gift card. This was very bizarre and I questioned why they had this policy but the owner would not explain and kept repeating "Cash only for tax. No gift card." I'd used gift cards here in the past without this issue and told him this, but he kept shaking his head. I had to ask the nail tech for some of the tip back and use it to pay the sales tax because the owner absolutely insisted. It was so awkward and off putting - I've never heard of such a thing in my life and I haven't been back since. read more

Terrible experience, I'm never going back. Literally just got home from getting a gel manicure that I wish I went back for a refund. First it's such a strange environment. You sit down and they bring you a dusty box of colors for you to choose from. I picked my color while she started filing. Granted my nails were already short, I don't know how it's possible that the technician made them shorter. Generally, I get my nails done about every 3-4 weeks so I'm pretty familiar with how nail salons normally do manicures. The way she was filing and buffing my nails was a little strange and as I look at my nails now, she really didn't clean up anything. I still have little hangnails and jagged edges to my nails. Now for the actual color part, as the technician painted my nails she got quite a lot of polish on my skin which I thought was fine because she would just clean it off. Well, keep that in mind for later. She continued painting and then putting into the light for a regular gel manicure. When she was done, she took the polish on my skin off by filing it. Yes, filing it. So after my nails were already painted she decided to file my nails again. Let me tell you, I have never experienced before and quite frankly I think it doesn't work at all. The edges of my nails are now sharp and there is still polish on my skin. Oh, and my nails are even shorter. For the end she put some green scrub and lightly rubbed it in. then she told me that I had to go up to wash it off. I mean that's kind of strange. Going to the sink with the nail technician to wash the scrub off in cold water. It just seemed so weird. I had my phone and keys in my lap that I had to pick up while my hands had some kind of scrub on them. The total was $32 + tax which is a little more expensive than my other usual place, but nevertheless I paid and got out of there. Looking back at my nails right now and all I see are air bubbles, Mars and a waste of my money and time. Go to another place! read more

This place did a great job on my gel manicure! The only thing I didn't like was they don't soak your cuticles at all, so they're pulling them out dry. Not ideal haha. But it's been more than a week and my nails look perfect. The overall experience with the techs wasn't super amazing. It was quiet and felt like they prioritized being quick over making it an "experience." I'd definitely recommend for a solo mani or pedi but look elsewhere for a spot when going with friends. read more

Went in for a powder manicure and asked for some design on top of the nails. I asked for tips but they couldn't do them. Woman who did them was very inexperienced and tried her best, but i was told when they were done that there was only one woman who worked there who was experienced in design and doing tips. Would've been nice to know before i went in and paid $70 for a manicure that could have been done a lot better than it was for the same price if i had known this. Also, i overheard the women talking in Spanish as my nails were getting done and calling them ugly. Will never go back to this place, very unprofessional and not upfront at all. Totally understand that not everyone has the skills to do what i asked for, but let me know this before i pay to have them done by someone who is not qualified. read more

This place is like a hidden jewel for nails on the shoreline. I've tried a handful of places and they repeatedly do a solid job. Rosa in particular is very good and I always pray can take me when I go because I'm terrible at making appointments! She gives a great shellac manicure and wonderful massages. read more

Walked in around 1:30 PM on a Wednesday afternoon, there was only one other customer and I was greeted warmly and immediately sat in a pedicure chair for my pedi and gel manicure. The pedicure was very nice for just their "standard" $30 one and included a scrub, massage, massage with oil and hot stone. Where was really blow away by the gel manicure. Amy really took her time and made sure every nail was perfect, did a paraffin wax dip, oil on the cuticles and then a massage with hot stones and a cooling spray after. This place is absolutely incredible. I am literally writing this review from the parking lot after just leaving because my experience was so great I didn't want to forget to review. My nails look and feel amazing and I got not one, but two different massages! I've never felt so relaxed at a nail salon before. The ladies were so sweet and personable and actually engaged in conversation with me which was so pleasant. (Usually in other nail salons I feel like I have to force conversation out of some of the technicians.) I got a gel manicure which came out amazing, and they even include a hand paraffin wax so my skin feels so soft and smells fantastic. The owner came in towards the end and immediately introduced herself and asked if I was from around here, if I liked the area, and if I had been here before and what I thought of the place. Told her this was my first time and she gave me a $5 gift certificate and told me it was a pleasure meeting me and she hopes to see me soon. And she sure will see me soon! Customer service in places that have a lot of customers is often swept under the carpet and it's such a shame. I can honestly say these wonderful people put just as much an effort into their customer service as they do their artistry and it doesn't go unnoticed!! i was given a gift certificate for here over a year ago and i am hooked! this is the BEST pedicure i have ever received and they really go above and beyond. the manicure is also great, they dip your hands in wax and leave you with soft hands. the basic pedicure comes with hot stones and they massage your feet/legs with them. while your nails are drying they give out free shoulder massages with a small heating pad. they really pamper you here. i have never made an appointment and i am always helped out in minutes. the place is so relaxing and clean, you also get to watch HGTV on a big tv. its amazing! read more

I could not believe the lack of customer service I received BY the owner a few weeks ago. I came in to get a pedicure. I tried to use a free pedicure I got from a friend and I was threatened that she would call the police and that the pedicure was not mine and when I tried to explain that a friend gave it to me to use she refused to listen. Even after I offered to just pay for the pedicure and not use the free one she screamed at me and again threatened to call the police in front of all her employees and a customer who was in the salon. I was trying my best to diffuse the altercation but she just blew up. A friend of mine used to be a regular loyal customer here and again the owner treated her with no respect or any kind of customer service especially after she had been going there for years. I could not believe how I was treated and I will NEVER go back or recommend this salon to anyone ever. read more
