Don't come here! Very unprofessional and rude. I came here with friends for a pedicure and manicure, and they messed everything up. All three of us will never return. They failed my friend's manicure twice, spending more than an hour and a half redoing it. As a result, when we got home, we realized their 'fix' was also messed up. When we returned to have it fixed, they tried to blame us and charged additional money to fix it quickly. Bad pedicure experience. My toe nails were not properly manicured and I had to get them retrimmed. Also I paid extra for nail polish to last longer. The polish completely came off two nails within a week. I didn't get a satisfactory experience for a spa, no massaging of calves and feet or back rub while nails were drying. I have been here several times for mani/pedi and the best part is the complimentary massage at the drying station. I had a pedicure today that was horrible. The tech clipped my skin rather than my nail, ouch! I had to tell her repeatedly to not cut around the cuticle but she did so anyway. This is my favorite nail salon! I've been here about a dozen times and absolutely love it. Villa Nails is so clean and every nail technician I've had appointments with here have all been so great. I usually get the mini spa gel pedicure and a gel manicure, which comes out to about $100 pre-tip. The nails always come out so beautifully and the mini spa pedi leaves my feet so soft! For my first visit a few months ago I had an appointment but I've since realized they take so many walk ins because they have staff to do it! They have so many employees to tend to all your nail needs! You can however get an appointment for just about any time you need. Their hours are amazing- weekdays till 7pm and weekends until 6:30pm. Very clean place. Quick service. I've done a regular manicure in the past which came out nice. Most recently I did the dip powder manicure, which I do NOT recommend. My nails started chipping day 4 and two nails completely popped off by day 6. I called the shop when I noticed the chipping so soon and was told that the nails can chip in cold weather (it has been 60-70 degrees). By the next day the two different nails came off completely. Waste of money. I went back day 7 and had to pay for removal within one week of getting them done. Even the nail tech said that is not suppose to happen. Really don't know who's leaving these poor reviews, because I've never experienced anything except an incredible experience. I never have to wait more than 5 minutes (I've never made an appointment, and often try to get a chair next to my mom and they always accommodate). The manager is communicative and always happy to help. The techs always make sure everything is good during every step of the service. From regular manicures and pedicures to gel manicures and occasional powder gel, I have never had a bad experience. All technicians have been well trained, my nails always look great, and the owner and managers are friendly and professional. Both salons are always very clean. I wasted $80 on a full set of acrylics that I needed for a special occasion this past weekend. I was told by multiple people that they suck and I should've listened. They did one sloppy coat of white and then called it quits. They double book appointments and as people begin to line up at the door the faster they did my nails which made them do a sloppy job. This place has got it down. I used to be a regular at Oasis nails (both Guilford and Branford). I thought they were about as good as it gets as far as reasonably priced mani/pedis go. Man was I wrong. After my visit to Villa, I don't think I'll set another pedicured foot into Oasis again. First, Villa's efficient. They've gotta have about a dozen pedicure chairs and about 10+ manicure desks. They usually seem busy but always have room for another client. They don't get fussy when it's packed either. The staff is gracious, polite, helpful, and meticulous. The best around town! Another bonus is that Villa's quite reasonably priced. They're cheaper than Oasis and you get much more bang for your buck. Honestly, I've paid over $100 for a mani pedi in NYC, and I'd liken its quality to Villa. And a PSA for all you stressed ladies out there: you get a COMPLIMENTARY 10-15 minute massage from one of the nice dudes in the salon. They just seem to ~get~ you. These massages aren't like the back pats you seem to get at Oasis. I'd just come home from a semester abroad and my masseuse seemed to understand; he spent extra time on those oh-so-bothersome knots. You have to make an appointment for a few services like acrylic nails but they are always on time (a lot of people hate to wait in this town lol). All the staff is professional and friendly.
