They have an incredible variety and are very helpful in store and as brokers to find what you are looking for even if they don't have it in store. Great staff too! The store has a very welcoming atmosphere, very open feeling, not at all claustrophobic like some stores can be. Love the background music too, especially the jazz - keeps me in my happy place while treasure hunting. We love the Retail Therapy sessions held on the first Friday of every month, not only is there wine, cheese and crackers and sweets and treats, but the entire store is discounted 15% - that's always a welcome bonus. Who didn't love a discount?! My most favorite type of therapy. We've enjoyed getting to know the owners and some of the dealers who happen to be there when we are, they're helpful and informative. And on the QT, sometimes they authorize discounts - if they can - on the items in their booths, especially when you buy multiple items. I saw on their Instagram that the next Retail Therapy session will be a Christmas Party - we'll be there with bells on and bringing our shopping list! Highly recommended to others. And while you're there, there's a number of antique stores there on Sherman Way - they're gradually working to revitalize the Historic Antique Row in Canoga Park. 2 new stores have been born out of the dealers in Main Street Vintage - check out Artfully Made (Sherman Way, all handmade items) and Vintage Home (Owensmouth, just opened 11/2/25), plus the owners also have Retro Relics 2 doors away from Main Street Vintage - another great selection there! Hope you have as much fun as we do. And visit the Real Juicery on Remmet for great juices, smoothies and bowls (more great owners!). Plus, 2 coffee shops opened this year on Sherman Way, Trio and Jessie's Grind (latter has the most fabulous doors!!) Support our local businesses . Our community needs small businesses, and the ones I've mentioned are absolutely worth a visit... or 2... or 50

You can find a trinket for $2 or a gorgeous vintage 5 foot round illuminated clock, for $550. There were a lot of homemade musical instruments, which I thought were interesting. He says antique dealers come in and buy his stuff to sell for more elsewhere. I believe it. His prices are reasonable and negotiable, but he wasn't born yesterday. I found out what he pays for rent, and its a wonder he doesn't charge more. I bought a few things (including a fab $5 plastic bread box from the 50s or 60s) and was due a dollar change. He didn't have it. I told him to keep the dollar, but he insisted I scour the store for something else to get my money's worth. Once he saw my hesitance, he started to look around on my behalf as I walked toward the door. He offered a dusty card, an old frame, but my favorite was an iron meat grinder, that weighed around 20 pounds. It had the date melded onto its form: 1926. As charming as it was, I took an old CBS sign instead.

This is an enticing little shop. It's like a museum, where you will see collectibles you never…read moreknew existed. Sam, the owner, is a joy. My most recent purchase is an 'outsider art' totem pole - hand-carved and definitely one of a kind! Everybody loves this place. Located near Sherman Way, accross the street from Goodwill, which is also worth a look.

"So long ago... Certain place.... Certain time... You touched my hand..."…read more The antiquity magic is at this bright vibrant den in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles of the French Quarter in the San Fernando Valley. Trinkets and treasures from years and decades past from silver to jewelry to collectibles to crystals...I came across this clear mini crystal ball on a wire wrap and purple string that was calling out to me. Barbara, the owner of the wonders of Beaver's Den Antiques told me what she knew of it: A crystal used for hypnosis relatively from the 1950s... I couldn't resist the urge to purchase as well as support this small shop. Surrounded by a variety of other small businesses Beaver's Den Antiques shares parking down from HQ gastropub (on its corner) in the lot for the French Quarter off Ventura and Paralta Avenue which turns into Claredon St near the epic Trader Joe's of the SFV (San Fernando Valley). I believe most if not all sales and sells are finally so take your time and ask questions...this place is full of warmth in atmosphere and customer service. Check out their website and media for any upcoming promotions or events.
