I have had two projects now with DMC, both turned out better-than-expected. The first was a 25-year-old silver plated candelabra pair than was severely tarnished; the other a very corroded 20-year-old brass floor lamp base. Both projects required reverse plating, hand polishing, and multi-layer plating work. Just amazing results. Both projects were a bit pricey; however, the restoration was well worth the investment. I had an anodized logo for my car that I wasn't happy with, so I turned to Decorative Metal Coating to see if I could get a better, more golden look. I spoke with Rose about coating options and she recommended a brass plating, which has all the properties of gold but didn't cost near as much. The guys here are top quality and easy and helpful to deal with. I have had some horrible chrome plating in San Diego that was sent to Mexico and came back to me chipped and weak and it immediately flaked off. Money down the drain. DMC does it all in house and it stays in the US. And the quality is exceptional. I have never had a problem. Do yourself a favor when it comes to chrome. Best quality chrome - always looks perfect and holds up amazingly! I've had multiple motorcycle, automotive and marine parts done and they always come out looking better than new... I've dealt with many chrome shops in the past and have never been really impressed. Most chrome shops have a very thin and cheap feeling finish. The level that Decorative Metal goes to, is simply something else. It looks like a mirror and holds up extremely well; even around the ocean. Not to mention how nice and easy they are to work with. We thought we were out of luck with our copper fire table top which needed much care and refinishing. Then.....we met Hugo and Rosa earlier this week from DMC and they certainly came to the rescue! Not only was the production team at DCM able to refinish and reheat (set) the copper fire table, it actually looks better than when we made our original purchase of this fire table 4 years ago. We had originally worked with DMF when developing our Bullets2Bandages.Org bullet line. During the process we were unfamiliar with plating and the associated costs, so when we found out months later that DMF was charging 5X as much as Los Angeles based plating companies we were shocked. In addition, the plating quality was inconsistent, and shoddy. I would not recommend using this company, we opted to switch to General Plating in Los Angeles, who now provides us with higher quality, and a lower price. Price Difference: DMF: 6.50/unit General Plating: 1.24/unit I do not recommend them, and would look elsewhere. read more

This company has very good quality! I recommend them to whoever wants a job done right! I know that they work with production companies as well as with walk in customers, they have a lot of experience and have been very helpful throughout the years. What I know is that they work more with high-end industries as they require good quality work.
