DecorPlanet has very poor customer support and imports defective products. DecorPlanet imports and sells a product made by Fresca. I have purchased a vanity (Fresca Lucera 24-in Espresso) from Lowes made by Fresca. DecorPlanet imports this product. After 2 years of complaining about various defects of this floating vanity and spending $2000 on the product and installation, DecorPlanet is offering me only excuses and no resolution. I would never purchase a Fresca product again and highly recommend you purchase your item from a different vendor. There are many more competitive vendors that sell better products and have better customer service that you can purchase from. read more

I walked in to this establishment looking for a kitchen backsplash. I politely asked the sales representative where can I find a kitchen backsplash and he rudely replied "I'm busy right now go look for it yourself". Do yourself a favor, and don't go to this horrendous establishment unless you want to be brushed off by rude employees and sub-par customer service. Shortly after posting my original review, a Decor Planet Customer Service Manager called me, saying he was looking to resolve the case, though I was out of town at the time, so I missed the call. Shortly after, Decor Planet responded to my Better Business Bureau complaint, saying: "Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Typically, items that are damaged in transit are handled by the sender and the carrier. We understand the circumstances are unique as you used a third-party insurance instead of going through the carrier UPS. Decorplanet was unaware of your terms of shipment, and we do not keep damaged merchandise once it has been inspected. However, considering the circumstances, we will issue a refund for the damaged item. A confirmation was left via voicemail on 10/11 by our management team. Please feel free to contact us directly if you have additional questions or concerns." I took issue with this characterization, as we were very clear in our original correspondence that our carrier required 1) Seven photos, and 2) That the damaged package not be discarded until the insurance claim was completed. So Decor Planet saying they were "unaware" was not true. Additionally, even if we had used UPS's own insurance, they require five photos and we were only sent four, and they too require that the package not be discarded. So even a UPS claim would not have been approved in this case. Regardless, they offered to refund us as requested, so we were satisfied and I attempted to call the Customer Service Manager back to accept their offer. I tried half a dozen times over several days, leaving multiple voicemails. Finally yesterday he called me back. The conversation was similarly frustrating to the misstatements in Decor Planet's response to the BBB. The manager continuously tried to chalk this up to us using a different insurance carrier or a general miscommunication. At one point he said "I don't know what was told to you but this is our standard policy," I then said "I do know what was told to us" and read him the note from the original Decor Planet contact saying they would take more photos and not throw out the damaged item. I just got more hand-waving. Ultimately Decor Planet agreed to refund us for the damaged item, so I've added a star to my rating, but the entire process was like pulling teeth. They only reluctantly agreed to our request after I opened a case with the BBB and posted a negative Yelp review. I'm grateful to get the refund, but this whole ordeal was a customer service nightmare and I would still not advise anyone to shop at this business. read more

I just had a terrible experience with decorplanet and I am sorry I have purchased product from them. If the item is defective, they won't give you replacement or accept the return. The item arrived with broken piece but we found out later when our plumber installed the toilet about 20 days. I contacted customer service initially just about broken cover, then the seat started not functioning electrically after 5 days of installation. I contacted immediately the customer service because it was within 30 days of delivery. This past a week and half I had to deal with their customer service and talked to manager yesterday. They put all the responsibilites on customers and they shift the responsibilities to the manufacture warranty even though I initiated the process within 30 days. They said you reported too late. It is really bad business model. They maybe a little cheaper than other competitors, but buy from the place where it has more reputations and quality of customer service, because you will regret. I am totally regret purchasing from them. You will end up with dispute and despairs. I talked to the tech department of Toto yesterday and they even said that how terrible the decor planet handled the situation about my problem. This is how stated in your company return policy: MANUFACTURING DEFECTS If the merchandise you receive is found to be defective due to a manufacturing defect, a request for the replacement of the defective merchandise must be made within 30 days of the delivery of your order. DecorPlanet.com will exchange the defective merchandise or a defective part free of charge. Merchandise returned as defective, which is found not to be defective, will be subject to a 15% restocking charge, along with the original and return shipping and handling charges. If a defect occurs after 30 days of delivery, you must contact the manufacturer directly for warranty information. Decorplanet.com will not cover any labor or other costs of removal or installation, nor shall Decorplanet.com be responsible for any other incidental or consequential damages attributable to a product defect or to the repair or exchange of a defective product or part. I reported the defect of item within 30 days of delivery when I contacted customer service. You delivered item on 1/25 and I reported 2/21. Why is it too late? It does not say that here? I even received return authorization and I already packed everything to be shipped after talking to customer service. Then when I contacted the customer service two days ago, they said you cannot ship the replacement. So why you didn't tell me on 2/21 you cannot honor the replacement and lead me to Toto warranty at that time? It does not make sense. I wasted more than 1 week. Because I was shocked and despair, I started crying on phone, that is why the manager contacted me. What kind of business is that making customer cry for despair? I should have read reviews in advance prior to purchase. I read so many people having similar experiences. Because of this defect, even though my bathroom construction was already finished, it is not completed due to the toilet defect. We have to rehire plumber when the repair item arrive from Toto and it will take again for a long time and it will cost us more money because of Decor Planet. I am incredibly disappointed with my experience at DecorPlanet. They accepted my $10k+ without a problem, but have not shipped vast majority of my order. I have been trying to get it from them for nearly 2 months, and keep getting excuse after excuse as to why nothing is happening. I first requested shipment on January 8th. As of today (March 4th), I still do not have the items I paid for. This is causing delays in installation, resulting in enormous expenditures. After continuing lack of appropriate responses from DecorPlanet management, I finally requested a refund - no one responded. I guess my only recourse would be to escalate externally and file a legal petition, followed by a BBB and Consumer Protection Agency complaints. read more

I purchased a $6000 medicine cabinet from decor-planet. It took almost 8 months for it to arrive, then we not forthcoming with delivery times nor on keeping us up to date on shipping. Due to the delays the cabinet sat in its box where it was placed by the delivery company for 3 months because we lost our slot with the contractor. When the contractor opened the box, the cabinet was severely damaged. When I wrote them this is their quoted response to me. Once they have your money their customer service is to give you the finger. Beware. Contacted Feb 5th and was told on back order ETA to ship now Feb 26th. Contacted March 3 told item shipped from vendor to their warehouse and they would email me. Contacted March 4 item didn't ship from vendor and now ETA March 29th. Order promptly canceled. I order 1 item. A mown digital shower panel that is available EVERYWHERE. My salesman Mario DeSantis was very responsive up to the point where payment was sent and then disappeared when I had problems with the order. My order was almost $5k! Everything is drop shipped from the manufacturers and they claimed everything was shipped when it wasn't. Waited over a month which backed up my project. After countless emails and phone calls without response, I finally found the manufacturers phone number and reached out to them to find out decorplanet never put in the PO! The manufacturer was able to reach their contact at decor planet and get the PO approved and had my parts to me in 2 days. Thank you Danielle from aquabrass for doing decorplanet's job. A big fat F You! to Mario DeSantis and all the incompetent employees at decorplanet. This costed me hundreds extra as it delayed my contractor and I had to hire a new one to finish the job. Outstanding showroom and excellent customer service! I had replaced my toilet and my medicine cabinet and was extremely pleased with decorplanet.com. I had Vlad assisting me throughout the whole process and let me tell you, it was seamless from start to finish. He took his time to answer all my questions regarding few models I was interest in and we narrowed it down to one. I went with a Toto toiled s350e with a washlet and I couldn't be happier with it! It has an automatic open close seat and cover which is really fantastic option to have. The sensor lifts it up automatically once you walk up to it. The Fresca Medicine cabinet is also a piece of art. It has LED light built into the mirror, digital clock and a defroster. I don't even have to use the bathroom ceiling light. I'm extremely happy with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone! read more

On February 9, 2022, I purchased a bathroom faucet from DecorPlanet.com, via PayPal, for $189.45, and the charge was taken from my Visa card. Decor Planet told me that the item was in stock when I made the purchase, and that I would receive it within 7 business days. But each month, nothing arrived, so each month I would call DecorPlanet, and they would tell me that the item would arrive the next month. This went on for 7 months. After that, I finally gave up, ordered the same item from another vendor, and received it in a few days. I cancelled the order with DecorPlanet, and they said that I would get my refund within 7 business days. After 1 month, I had not received my refund, so I called Decor Planet, and they said that PayPal told them my email address was invalid, so they could not refund my PayPal account. (PayPal told me that my email address is not required to initiate a refund.) So DecorPlanet said that they would mail me the refund in the form of a paper check instead, and that I should receive it within 7 business days. I never received the check, so I called DecorPlanet again in October, and they told me that their check printer had been broken, but they had just fixed it that day, and I should receive the check by 11/4/22. 11/4/22 passed, and I didn't receive the check, so I called Decor Planet again on 11/7/22, and the agent said that she would contact the accounting department and the customer service manager, to find out why the check had not been sent out. Later that day, I received an email message from the customer service manager, saying that the check would be mailed out on 11/8/22. The check finally arrived on 11/18/22. This entire process took over 9 months, even though I never received any product. Avoid this company. read more

This company was very professional. We got off on the wrong foot because the salesperson promised a shipment to be delivered in 2 days, which it didn't come. Shipment came in different times I different days, stalling the construction work we had scheduled. After calling the salesperson numerous times and leaving messages, he never got back to us. My husband kept calling and calling, leaving him the number to call back to...... apparently the salesperson did call us back but to my cell phone number Which i never pick up, i don't know why he wouldn't just write down the number my husband would leave on his voicemail. I then went to the shop, upset and frazzled at the level of service we received. I spoke to the manager, Ali i believe her name was, she was incredible! Fast, professional, understanding, overall amazing. She got down to the bottom of it all that same day, we had out missing parts the next day thanks to her promptness. She then explained all that the salesperson did and how miss communication occurred. It turned out it was no ones fault, but just an error on the vendors part. She fixed everything very gracefully. I had several questions about the site, it's ongoing sale, and a delayed delivery since my project was stalled but I did not want to miss out on the sale and opportunity. Menny worked with me to get everything packaged up and ready for purchase, helped me set up an account, and walked me through all of the required steps to make the purchase process simple and seamless. Next I had the opportunity to work with Mesha Edwards - Decor Planet's undercover superhero! She is a consumate professional and a model Decor Planet Team Member. Unfortunately I ran into a minor issue with delivery location and one of the vanities that showed up was damaged. I hope everyone recognizes all of the steps that occur in between an order to delivery, and many of these steps are in the hands of third parties that the merchant has little control over. The true test is how the merchant vendor responds to those issues. Mesha was the Superwoman of Customer Service. She worked tirelessly to make sure my experience was 100%, and that all issues were remedied as quickly as possible. Throughout the entire process she was positive, professional, and resourceful. Her warm and kind personality exuded through the phone and I could tell I was in good hands throughout the entire process. She navigated all of these unknowns through a pandemic and a high volume holiday period but the entire time made me feel as if the customer was her number one priority. In the end, my experience resulted in what every customer wants: A great user experience, an excellent product as advertised, and fantastic support when things don't necessarily go as smooth as everyone hopes. I highly recommend this company and their products (I will post photos when fully installed). I was going to place an online order but needed to ask some questions first. I called Decor Planet's 800 number and was ultimately connected to "Chad." Chad not only answered my questions, he volunteered to build my order and email me a link to it so all I needed to do was to provide ship to and credit card info. How easy is that! Wait...it gets better....after placing my order, I received a thank you email from Decor Planet with a coupon code for 15% off. As I was looking for a Toto Neorest Toilet (a $4,000 price point) I thought I would call Decor planet and ask some questions. This time I did not get Chad. The man that answered the phone was able to answer my questions but when I asked if he would build the order and send me the link he said "you can do that online." So I ordered the toilet online and got my 15% discount coupon. No problem or so I thought as I found out the toilet was on back order. I then called Decor Planet and I got Chad...yay!!! It was almost 7P EDT when I called and Chad was getting ready to go home. I told him my issue and he said let me research it and email you the next day. As I am in California (3 hours behind East Coast) I checked my emails in the AM and there was an email from Chad. I ordered a shower head from this company. I tried to have them cancel the order but it was too late. I asked immediately for a return merchandise number. When it arrived, it was flawed. You had to assemble it. I finally got authorised to return it and when they received it, they tried to blame me for the flawed product. They have since said they are not refunding my money even though they are in possession of it. This company is a scam and I would not do business with them. I can't believe they are still in business. Go to Amazon for better service. If you want to return anything, you have to jump through a lot of hoops which I did and still got refused. read more

I gave it 2 stars because the product selection is extremely large. Beautiful showroom. They seem to have everything one needs for bathrooms and construction. The problem is customer service. If you have a contractor, you'll end up paying them to sit around for awhile. I ordered an almost full bathroom from them and was told they have everything in stock and I should be receiving the deliveries within a week. I received 4 of my items within 5 days. The bigger items will be delivered when I call them. Not a problem. The problem is that they didn't actually have all of the pieces in stock. It took a month and a few trips to the store to finally get the rest of my items. I ordered on May 31st. When I contacted customer service mid June I was told that I would have the rest of my items on July 3rd. They had it in their system that I placed the order on June 14th. Everyone I talked(online and in store) to mentioned that I ordered on June 14th and asked why I was rushing. They changed original date of purchase to fit their needs. When I finally went to the store a final time, I was told there was some sort of misunderstanding and that my items were in their NJ warehouse and they've been there for days. Except that previously customer service said they were being shipped from California and I should be getting them 5-7 days. Never happened. They need to change the logistics in their warehouse. I don't understand how a "misunderstanding" with their warehouse even happened when there was a clear order in their system. They're selling things that they say are in stock but aren't. I won't even go into the fact that I saw the same exact items cheaper other places. If you do order from them because of the nice selection, make sure that they really do have everything in stock. Update: finally received my $900 bathroom cabinet. Had to go back to the store because it didn't come with the screws/wooden pegs for the legs of the cabinet. read more

This company is a scam! I ordered a Toto toilet seat and base, it took over 8 months to be delivered and when I finally tried to install it, the pieces were incompatible. After way to many phone calls they admitted that they had sent the wrong seat and I should return the mistaken one. Since it took so long to have my order delivered I purchased the correct seat before returning the admitted mistake. I returned the mistake in pristine, uninstalled condition in the correct units package and waited for my refund. After 5 months and way too many phone calls I was told by Venice that the seat was used and they refused to refund me. The pictures Venice sent as proof were not of use but of clear abuse and mishandling of my returned item by their warehouse. This is disgusting customer service and blatant fraud, do not buy from this company. But if you've already purchased from them be sure to take photographic evidence of the condition of anything you are returning. read more

TOTAL rip off! Ordered a $1000 item on May 3rd, was told it would ship to me on May 5th. On May 7th, I called as it still had not shipped and was told they would have to contact the vendor. On May 8th I called as nobody called me back as promised. They told me then that they product was unavailable. Why is in on the website then and why did they take my money? So I asked for a full refund. They said they were processing and it would take 3 days to clear my bank. 4 days later, I called and was told that I cancelled my order. I had to explain the situation twice then was told that the refund would go through in 3 days. I placed an online order for a toilet with them ($610 total). They were responsible for the shipping. The toilet was shattered during shipping, but I had no reason to open the box until later during my project when the toilet was ready for install. They took no responsibility for the damage caused, hiding behind a very limited timeframe to report damage. They have multiple complaints for this specific damage to toilets during shipping via the BBB. I tried to contact them multiple times to find a reasonable resolution, but they did not work with me in any reasonable manner. Not only did I waste the cost of the toilet from doing business with them, but then I had to pay to have the damaged toilet disposed of. Buyer beware. read more

I ordered a two piece Toto toilet April 30. They sent me the bowl only and I paid for the tank and bowl. Can not get a hold of anyone and left 3 voicemails and 2 e mails. It looks as though I'm not getting any credit or getting sent the tank in which I'm owed. It's been over a month of trying to reach this company with no response. Very disappointed with the lack of communication on the delivery of my bathroom vanity. E mail stated shipping 8/19 and it was left on my driveway earlier today, no call, no sign off. When I contacted Customer Service asking how i was supposed to get 254 lbs moved into my garage, she stated the carrier will not return and there is no inside delivery. How about notifying me in advance? I didn't ask for inside delivery, just slide it into the garage. They certainly knew how to charge my credit card immediately. I purchased glass shower door about December 2013. Somehow swing door glass shattered by it self after two years. I researched reasons and I believe that was thermal expansion breakage for tempered glass. I called manufacturer and they advised me to contact dealer. I simply send email to Decor planet and Tamara Smith - customer service representative followed up on replacement parts for warranty. I received new glass door and hinge parts with no charge. This review is for your MacDonald Ave Brooklyn location. I love them! In particular, I really enjoyed working with my sales guy, Vlad, and the design team over there. They are really good at what they do and very customer friendly. I have never had anything but wonderful support from them and their prices are very good. My only criticism I have is that their warehouse logistics need to improve. I had put in a tile order and then was told a couple days later that they did not actually have it as originally told to me. I ended up finding the tile at another store and picking it up there.
