I am a medical scribe who works in the Lifespan Hospital ED. I was denied care by DeCrescenzo Chiropractic until COVID disappears (which might not be for a year) due to the possibility I was exposed, though I stated I do not enter known COVID positive or possible COVID rooms, due to my profession. This is unethical. They clearly don't care about supporting healthcare workers! Update: After my initial review, the owner reached out to me the next day to clear up the miscommunication between the new guidelines and her staff. I was put in for a new patient appointment a few days later and have been going since. They took the time to listen to my concerns and made a plan to address said concerns. Dr. Annie is amazing and went thoroughly over the results of my x-rays before fully treating me! After just a few adjustments, I already feel better! I had chronic bilateral Fasciitis for over 2 years. My feet throbbed and I had burning and tingling. I could hardly walk some days and putting shoes on was nearly impossible. I could only wear Crocs out of comfort. Any other shoes hurt my feet. I also have a Neuroma on the bottom of my left foot. I saw the Podiatrist for years. I tried splints, Orthotics, PT, ice, Meloxicam, a Cortisone shot, Voltaren and Lidocaine cream with no relief. I was being seen at Decrescenzo Chiropractic for chronic back pain due to a degenerative disc issue. Dr. Shadi Shakoori recommended Shockwave Therapy for my back. After doing research, I read this therapy can treat Fasciitis. I asked Dr. Shadi if they treat Fasciitis and she said absolutely. I said please let's start with my feet. I can't take the pain any more. With 1 treatment, I felt relief right away. After 3 treatments, my right foot has been symptom free for over 2 months. This isn't covered by insurance but I have spent way more money on everything else that didn't work. This works!! And it's worth the money for NO MORE PAIN! Surgery was my next option which I was very hesitant to do. But at the same time, even getting my feet cut off sounded better than the pain I dealt with every day. I showed up to my appointment only to be sent off without being seen (after I had fallen on my tailbone and needed desperately to be treated) on the claim that I needed to deal with my insurance provider for an error on my account. Meanwhile I've gone to other providers and have had no issue when I explain I have X insurance and not Y; bill X, not Y. I could've been advised of the magnitude of the issue (in their eyes) prior to making childcare arrangements to attend my appointment. Will not book again. read more

Homegirl can't be sufferin with back pain. Perfectly good, upbeat, and bass filled songs have been played, un-danced to,because if homegirl even dared tap her big toe- a pain would come shootin' up my back . Homegirl is a classy woman and is not revealing my age on no website but you have surely noticed, my soft supple glow (profile picture) reveals that I am FAR to young to be agonized by back pain. Now my first impressions of the place were these: dang! This place is glammed up to the max! Everything was either crushed velvet, wallpapered, bedazzled or all three at the same time. Over the top compared to a typical private practice, but tasteful and made homegirl feel like an Istanbul Empress. You could have a bathroom with silk toilette paper for all I care, but if it look good and don't get the job done we gonna have ourselves a situation. Thankfully, after one appointment, I am feeling some relief. Not a one and done thing in my case, but I left adjusted and a little more mobile. The one thing I hate is the push for appointments. They want you and your third cousins booked every week, and twice on Sunday. While it can't be fixed maybe in one or two visits, it's nice to not be hounded for setting up appointments. Otherwise, they were very helpful and got me in on the day that I called. Good experience. Recommended. Homegirl and her big toe will be hittin up the dance floor in the near future. read more

In May 2011 I was in a car accident (100% the other driver's fault; my attorney got me justice...JUSTICE!). A couple of days after the accident my lower back was sore. How sore was it? I am an avid golfer and had to stop golfing for almost two months. Ugh. I went to Dr. Shadi at Decrescenzo Chiropractic; she put me on a 2x/week chiro plan for four months that cured me. It's now over a year later and my lower back has never felt better. I'm golfing, working out, giggling, taking long walks on the beach, etc. I am 6'5" and Shadi can't be more than 5'0" but let me tell you, she is one strong woman and I wouldn't trust my back to anyone else (her husband is a great chiro as well). This was only the second time I've ever been to a chiropractor, the first seemed like a scam due to the nature of his office manner. I found this place through yelp and am more pleased than any medical visit I've ever made. I was in so much pain and was getting to the point that I couldn't sleep & could hardly work. I saw Dr Annie Ganemian. Apart from taking away almost ALL my pain on the first visit, I must say she was the prettiest women I've ever seen along with the rest of the office. Everyone was Extremely professional, dedicated, an understanding and so kind. They can fix so many problems and in addition practice a type of soft tissue massage. After the one hour appointment I can now go to work without both my work suffering and my extreme pain. read more

Shadi and Greg have been treating me for over decade. Prior to finding them I'd been diagnosed with Spinal Stenosys. They were the only chiropractors that could keep me comfortable and out from under the surgeons knife. In December of 2012 Shadi "strongly" urged me to have an MRI due to the increase in pain and mobility issues. On April 15'th I had surgery, and have been recovering remarkably well. Part of the Neurosurgeon's prescribed recovery plan included chiropractic manipulation. However, as I live on the cape I was unable to make the trip to see Shadi, so I was forced to see a local chiropractor in Wareham that reportedly uses the Gonstead technique, as does Greg and Shadi. The chiropractor couldn't hold a candle to Shadi! He was unable to adjust me using Gonstead, and resorted to the activator technique. While he sincerely believed it was aligning the sublaxated vertebra, I felt no relief. After 4 visits, I got the green light from my surgeon to see Shadi and felt instant relief on my first visit. At first, my experience with Dr. Shakoori was good. It had been many years since I had seen a chiropractor, but she is the 4th. one I have been to, so, I have had some experience with chiropractic adjustments and what to expect. I do realize that they all have their different techniques and you can expect a little soreness, but mostly relief. It certainly should not make you feel worse. I had strained a muscle in my mid-back reaching behind something and was in severe pain. I was having terrible muscle spasms between the shoulder blades. It even hurt to breathe. A friend recommended Dr. Shakoori so I thought I would give her a try. I told her what had happened and how I had felt something pop in my shoulder blade area when I reached behind something, but after looking at my x-rays, she was insistent I just thought the pain I was having came from that area, but was really from my neck. Even thought I could correlate the pain to when I felt something pop and there was no doubt that is when it started, I figured, OK, I would just give it a try and see if her adjusting me made me feel better. The first couple of adjustments, I did feel better, but then one day she adjusted me and I thought I was going to come off of the table. I had immediate pain when I had none when I had walked in the door. I hadn't had any pain at all that day. So, when I told her it hurt, she snapped at me and asked me why. Not only was she snappy, but she was insistent she was having to re-explain herself when I asked her again that day if she really thought the shoulder blade pain was still coming from my neck. I was taken back by her response and her lack of compassion for the pain I was feeling. It even took me a minute to get off of the table. As the day went on after the adjustment, I developed a migraine of which I have not had in years. After that, I swore off going back there. Furthermore, I did not appreciate her tone of voice with me or the fact that she seemed to take the attitude that you don't tell her what's wrong, only she knows what's wrong. I am not saying she wasn't correct about maybe part of it, but I believe that it was a combination of having a muscle strain in my mid back and that may have been exacerbated by the other issues she said were going on with my spine. I have had chronic back issues since I was a child, and have seen a number of chiropractors over the years. Shadi has been by far the best and now I'll never go to anyone else (unless it's someone she has helped train or she recommends). Shadi is one of the kindest people I have ever met, but also a consummate professional (and she expects the same from her staff). The infrared laser treatments that she offers have saved me from back surgery, and the on-site massage therapist is also amazing (best massages I have ever had). Dr. Shadi is awesome, very strong for her size...was worried about that when I first went there. Treated me a few years ago for a tweak of my back with full and quick resolution. When I was rear ended by a Tahoe at 45 mphin October, I went back to her. She got me going in the right direction and i was feeling better. When i stopped improving and she realized I was not responding as I had previously so referred for an MRI...herniated disc. So wrapped up treatment for the accident with her and went for some injections. Bottom line, she treats you for what you need...no scamming and recognizes when it's time to move on. I still go every 4-6 weeks for maintenance treatments. Brand new office with great ambiance and the staff Is great to deal with too! read more
