They squeezed me into their schedule, which I appreciated at first but ended up waiting about 45 minutes past my appointment time to see the doctor. If I had known it would be that long I would have asked to come in on a different day. The doctor had the manner of someone who'd shotgunned five Red Bulls paired with the ego of a surgeon. Aside from the general exam and spinal manipulation, there was a bunch of "therapy" in the forms of tugging, pushing, and whacking. I kind of felt like I was being Punk'd. This extra "therapy" was what they had charged me $50 in addition to my expected copay upon check-in. I thought they were mistaken but they insisted, and it was after a long day at work so I figured I'd just pay it and deal with it later. After later checking with my insurance company and seeing that they had reimbursed the office for the "therapy," I contacted the office to have them look into it. I had to bring them my insurance statement. A couple of weeks passed and I called to ask about the matter, and the woman on the phone curtly said, "You were right. A check is in the mail." I received a check a few days later. Just a check. No note, no apology for the inconvenience. The whole experience was just gross.
