With a new building, everything is clean and sanitary and I hope it stays that way. They are currently requiring masks and only allowing the patients inside the exam rooms (except for children where a parent is allowed in). Doctor's are attentive and work on getting to know who you are. I've had various experiences with different doctors since moving to FL 6 years ago and so far, so good here.

I returned one month later to meet with Kylie again, and again I received my medication. No review or discussion of the amount of weight I had lost. I showed up for my third appointment on October 11th, paid my copay and waited about 10 minutes. I was called back by the nurse, and as I was about to step on the scale, I was told not to, that I didn't qualify for their program, and was told so last time I was there. I was not told this, and they looked at my chart to make my most recent appointment. I was flabbergasted that they were abandoning me right in the middle of my weight loss journey. I was embarrassed as I was escorted back out to the front desk to receive my refund for the copayment that I had just made. I felt like I was being punished for being successful with my weight loss.

This is the first time in a very long time that I have felt comfortable with a doctor. The wait time was minimal. The MA's were friendly, however two different MA's entered the exam room because one didn't know that the other one had already done my intake. They need to communicate better. One receptionist was rude when I came back to the front desk because I left my coat in the exam room. Other than that, I would recommend Dr. Dixon to anyone who needs a top-notch primary care doctor.

I told her it is controlled with meds, and I was really just there for a check up, but she did not look in my throat, ears... nothing. I thought it was a bit odd that all she did was talk to me for an hour. Then about a week ago I received a very high bill, over $240.00. I did not understand why I was being billed for what should have been preventive. I tried to dispute it, but was told by my insurance company that it was coded as a diagnostic visit. Then, upon calling the office, I was told by the office manager that it's "just policy" and "the Dr. Doesn't like to do well visits on new patients, since they don't have your health history". Just beware, if you're searching for a new physician, keep searching, and make sure, wherever you go, ask if your first "well visit" is considered preventive. This office did not inform me of that "policy" prior to my visit, which is just bad business, sneaky, underhanded, and poor customer service. They have lost me and my entire family, as we'll never go back. Better off waiting until we get sick and going to CVS minute clinic!

A Modestly Accurate Account of My Medical Encounter with Dr. Sontag, Who May or May Not Be a…read moreTime-Traveler Somewhere in the unfashionable rear quadrant of the Milky Way, in a small but consequential pocket of spacetime labeled "Oviedo, Fla," I found myself in the presence of Dr. Sontag -- a man whose medical prowess is matched only by the sheer audacity of his footwear. Imagine, if you will, a man of average altitude (give or take the height of a hedgehog), radiating the confidence of someone who has not only read Gray's Anatomy but probably corrected several typos in it. His bald head gleams not with sweat, but with reflected diagnostic enlightenment, as though the very act of thinking polishes his scalp. He wears scrubs in the color of determined competence and, most impressively, shoes that look as though they were forged in a parallel dimension where footwear is considered a high art and mild teleportation is expected. Dr. Sontag does not simply "ask questions" -- he interrogates your molecules. He doesn't read charts -- he intuits them through gravitational waveforms. And when he assesses your vital signs, the universe momentarily pauses to measure its own. Within a dozen minutes, I had both answers to medical questions I hadn't asked and a minor existential crisis that resolved itself when he calmly said, "You're fine, probably." His diagnosis was prompt, his advice clear, and his departure silent -- save for the subtle whoosh of his shoes shifting realities again. I can say with absolute certainty that I would recommend Dr. Sontag to anyone who wishes to be medically seen, heard, healed, and slightly mystified. Also, he smells faintly of ozone and peppermint. This is probably normal. -- A current patient, forever admirer, and honorary member of the Sontag Interstellar Health Alliance
