I was there for two separate visits knees and hips and both times I told them I did not want to receive as many x-rays as they forced me to get and if it was osteoporosis or osteoarthritis they really didn't need to get six or eight x-rays of both knees and both sides of hips, so now I'm getting an excessive bill because they said the doctor would not see me unless I took ALL of those x-rays. When I contacted my insurance company they told me I could refuse, some of them, & I didn't have to get that many x-rays. It's also not good for ANYONE'S health to have an excessive amount x-rays. For this reason my family and I are NOT recommending Orlando orthopedic Center, in Oviedo. read more

The quality of care and timeliness here have dropped off dramatically over the past year. I arrived early for my appointment with Dr. Riggenbach and was taken to an exam room ahead of schedule -- only to sit there for over 30 minutes, completely alone. No updates. No check-ins. No acknowledgment. There's no Wi-Fi, no communication, and only so much small talk and laughter from the hallway that a person in real pain can tolerate while waiting for help that doesn't come. If you value your time, health, or money, look elsewhere. What used to feel like a place of care now feels like an afterthought. read more

I went in for a doctors visit with Micheal Riggenbach and half way through being seen Riggenbach gets up and leaves the room and doesn't return. I was forced to pay $170 and I didn't even get seen for what I came in for. Total scam! I'm see another doctor that has time for you or has common sense that you're paying out of pocket. read more

I went to Orlando orthopedic for a hurt leg, knee and pelvis. I went either 2 or 3 times. They took an X-ray of my knee but failed to see that I had a fractured femur close to my groin area. I ended up going to Rothman Orthopedic, and Doctor King saw how I struggled to get onto the exam table and ordered an X-ray. He responds by looking at me puzzled and says, "Your femur is fractured." If an orthopedic doctor can't find a fracture, then what good are they? Shame on Orlando Orthopedic. I'll never revisit this place. It was a complete waste of time, money and further hindered my recovery. read more

This was my first time at the Oviedo location and I wasn't as impressed as I am with the Lake Mary location. The receptionist at this office was NOT pleasant. My greeting upon arrival was "Name? That's $40. Fill this out". Ok. Thanks for making me feel welcome (cue the huge eye roll to indicate sarcasm). The nurse who took me back and then led me to where I needed to check out was very nice but the X-ray tech who took my set was obviously new and not at all gentle with my (painful) broken leg. I'm guessing it was her supervisor, but when another gentleman X-ray tech came in to help/observe, it was obvious he was much nicer and more experienced. Dr. Wiernick was knowledgeable which was appreciated but I'm more looking forward to my next appointment back at Lake Mary where there is a gentler X-ray tech and nicer receptionists. Gayle on Dr. Wiernicks team is extremely helpful and very quick to respond and that is much appreciated also. read more

If it is possible to have a good experience at the doctor's office, then I had one! Jokes aside, I really appreciated the approach when I arrived here. I made an appointment for shoulder pain that I had for 4+ weeks (I guess I thought that it would just go away on its own!). I had a morning appointment that I was roughly 15 min earlier to, they checked me in and I was promptly taken back to the room. The doc (a PA) came in just a few moments after I was in the room and listed to my concerns, She indicated that she wanted to get some X-rays to confirm her thoughts on the issue so that we could address it. A few moments later, the X-ray technician came in and led me to the X-ray room, where when a few min he had the scans. He was peasant and friendly as well. It only took about 10 min for the Doc to review the X-ray......super quick! She cam in and confirmed her thoughts, and offered me options on how to treat (injection vs oral med) She gave me the pro/con on either and let me decide. When I decided on the injection, it was done Wilton 5 min and she explained everything as it happened and did her best to ensure that I was comfortable All in all I was in the office for maybe around 20 min. The whole ordeal was quick, and pleasant to go through. The treatment seemed to help and I'm glad this turned out to be a great doc visit. read more

First visit: Dr. Daniel Weirnik and the staff at OOC were great. I had ignored my foot pain for far too long and finally decided to seek help. After some internet research I chose OOC and Dr. Weirnik. My research paid off. I got a personable and professional evaluation of my pain, an X-ray and a remedy, now I'm on the path to pain-free walking. 10 days later I'm feeling so much improved I was on the treadmill at the gym at 6AM! Follow-up: Went back for my check-up a month later. Pain reduced by 90%. Bummed staff were in scrubs and not in favorite team colors like the were on my first visit. Doc extended a prescription for arthritis and I was on my way. Great experience. read more

I've got nothing against the care received. I was recently in a lot of pain with arthritis in my hand and occupational therapy was very helpful. However...at my first $270 appointment, I was left sitting in a cold exam room over 30 minutes. When the doctor finally came in, he didn't introduce himself, spent maybe three minutes with me, painfully squeezed my hand and suggested a cortisone shot which I refused. He was done with me and sent me down the hall to get a $50 brace which I also refused as I already had my own. Then, I was sent to schedule therapy. I don't have insurance, so inquired about costs which involved getting another person to deliver a piece of paper with pricing. In their own words, it was a "Good Faith Estimate." Apparently, it wasn't even that. I scheduled a $135 evaluation for the following week, went for it and paid before seeing the therapist. Afterwards, I scheduled the first of a package of four sessions. Based on their paperwork, these were $85 each x 4 = $340. At my first appointment, they charged me $480! For no reason, I was overcharged $140 and have been trying for two weeks to get a refund. On top of that, they had the nerve to invoice me $90 for a session I'd already paid for in the four session package! Excuse me...overpaid for. I have emailed twice through their patient portal, I've done a chat on the portal and I've written and mailed a letter, yet I've received zero response. The chat yielded nothing more than "I don't see an overpayment on your account." Apparently, no one in the whole damn place can do math! So, I can't get them to respond to me by other means. Maybe they'll see this and figure it out. The next they hear from me will be through my attorney. The nerve of these collective nitwits. They owe me $140 and I fucking want it now...WITH INTEREST!!! Dr. Randy Schwartzberg did an amazing job on my torn rotator cuff. His bedside manner was professional and sensitive. His entire staff was so kind and helpful. I went to Physical Therapy that was located in the same office and all of the therapist did a great job. Was it fun, no, but they pushed you just enough to get your range of motion back as soon as possible. I went for a four month follow up with Dr. Schwartzberg and I was not as far as I should have been. He gave me a cortisone injection and that pushed me over the edge to get me to a complete recovery. Hello I am writing this for those of you in search for a group of people to provide care for any back issues you are having. I've been in pain since January and it made things difficult to manage but being a devoted single Father I pushed through. I had seen another Doctor for my back and have been going to therapy but was concerned about the constant back pain I was having. Well I decided to find a care provider close to my home and gave Orlando Orthopedics a shot here in Oviedo. The Initial call to the office was very pleasant and professional. They were quick to assist me at collecting the information needed prior to my visit. I was assigned Doctor Michael D McCleary. When I arrived for my appointment the office was upstairs I used the elevator. Things were very clean at this facility all of the staff were exceptionally friendly and very professional. At the front desk the nice lady who checks people in was very helpful and the paperwork was brief thanks to the information I had provided the day before. My wait was minimal so much so I barely had the time to even finish filling out the paperwork. This was a concern of mine due to my pain levels. The nurse who took me back asked all the appropriate questions that would help Doctor McCleary but before he got the Doctor they wanted an X-ray. The facility is well equipped to diagnose any back issues you may have the X-ray technician was a friendly and very professional person as well. I really received a good feeling about the staff and felt that they are about families. They show care and understanding that the patients they treat have families as well. After the X-ray it didn't take long for Doctor McCleary to come see me in the examination room. He was thorough but swift in determining exactly what I had and what was needed to make me start feeling better. I explained I'm totally against surgery or injections that all contain certain risk factors. He requested I continue with therapy and gave me the appropriate medications to set me on the right path of recovery. I didn't want harsh medications that have bad side effects. It's only been a day but I do feel a little better already. I am certain not everyone who reads this has the same thing I have but if you suffering and desperately searching for solid answers without finding a doctor who is surgery happy... well then I highly Recommend the Orlando Orthopedic Group and especially Doctor Michael D McCleary and his staff you won't be dissatisfied.
