They said the truck driver isn't their employee and now they're holding her stuff hostage over 3 hours away unless she gives him $6,000, 3x what she already paid, because apparently the truck driver is "in debt"?????? Its not even a company truck hes renting from Penske!!!! They claimed they were from alabama but are actually VA-based. They lack any kind of official certification. The driver even forged my cousin's signature when he picked up her things!! And they dont do background checks - this guy has a super long rap sheet for -- you guessed it -- forgery and theft!!!! The absolute worst company I've ever encountered. Unreliable, unprofessional, lack of communication and straight up crooks. I paid a deposit upfront for moving a treadmill and after 3 failed attempts at a very simple task, the company said they were unable to complete the project. They kept my deposit despite the project never being completed. They work with 3rd parties, so what you get is unprofessional people who don't communicate with you at all. I strongly advise against using Dedicated Moving Lines for your moving needs. My recent experience with them has been nothing short of a nightmare. Here are the key issues I faced: 1. Disorganized Communication: Despite being initially quoted a 2-3 day delivery by their coordinator Erik, I was later told by the company that delivery within this timeframe was impossible. The earliest they could "maybe" deliver was 8/9/24, significantly later than promised. Erik initially told me he was my moving coordinator for my entire move, but when I needed to reach him to help with the disorganization, he stated that he didn't have anything else to do with my move. I don't care how nice and professional he sounds on the phone. Do not trust him! 2. Poor Coordination: The moving company they "brokered" me to claimed they did not receive my move details until 7/30, with a pick-up window of 8/1-8/2. The moving truck then encountered mechanical issues, and I was not informed of the delays. I am still without a confirmed delivery date. 3. Service Inconsistencies: My quote included unpacking services, but the moving team had no idea about this and stated that they usually do not offer such services. Additionally, their truck had to be put in the shop, and nobody notified me that the delivery would be further delayed. This miscommunication added to the chaos and frustration. 4. Significant Financial Losses: The delays have resulted in substantial financial losses, including costs for hotel rooms, inability to schedule patients, book plane tickets, and additional missed workdays for my family. Furthermore, I have to start a new job in New Mexico, and these delays have put me in a very difficult position. 5. Unhelpful Customer Service: When I asked about a refund of the deposit or a discount on the move, I was told that I would need to get it from the moving company and to call back in a couple of days for a delivery update. This response was extremely unhelpful and added to my frustration. This company will screw you over completely. Do not use them. You will be better off packing and moving your own stuff before using this company. Overall, the lack of communication, poor organization, and failure to deliver as promised have caused immense stress and financial burden. I AGREE 100% with what ALL NEGATIVE reviews are saying. NEVER USE DEDICATED VAN LINES!!! In fact, RUN - when you see their ads!!! 1. DEDICATED VAN LINES is NOT a moving company! They are BROKERS!!! They tell you they have trucks of their own to move your items - but they HAVE NO TRUCKS! They tell you their fee comes off of your shipping cost - BUT IT DOESNT!!! All fees are Separate - and In Addition to - the fee that they - Dedicated Van Lines Charges you! And "Eric" the Broker I delt with - LIED every step of my move! 2. That's a FAKE Website! Every time you go to their site - it says, "We're offline at the moment etc..." Only thing is - THEY ARE ALWAYS OFFLINE! They use what's called a "Flash Page" with a picture of a moving van displayed - to get your attention. But it's NOT a real website. It's FAKE, Unmonitored and designed to get you to think you're dealing w/at real moving company - WHICH YOU ARE NOT!!! 3. They contracted my move to the following DISHONEST "moving companies" who, like them - Lie and UP-CHARGE YOU. And they outsourced it to the following 3 different companies all BEFORE my items ever arrived (DAMAGED), to my location. So in addition to DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES, add the following companies to the list of companies NOT to do business with: a). CITA VAN LINES b). ERNEST MOVING & STORAGE and c). QUALITY TRUSTED MOVERS LLC CITA VANLINES" charged me $675 OVER the fee I was promised By DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES. CITA said the extra fee was due to DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES not properly estimating the number of items that I had. But everyone knew EXACTLY what items I had because I sent them VIDEOS and Photos of Everything! 4. DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES contracts out jobs to MULTIPLE Fake, Non-Verifiable, Unlicensed, Unprofessional, Sloppy moving companies who use unlicensed/unprofessional Day Workers (that they find off the internet the day of your move), to unload your Precious items; if you're lucky enough to receive your items, that is! 5. I'm NOT prejudice, but the above listed companies use Foreign/non-English-speaking movers - who upon delivery of your items (no matter the HORRIBLE condition your items arrive in), want to be paid via an online money transfer system. In my case, they wanted to be paid via CashApp. But every time I attempted to do so - CASHAPP kept sending me Alters/Warnings to my phone - Cautioning me NOT to send them ANY MONEY!!! But in order for them to release my items - I had to pay them how they stated. I had NO CHOICE. 6. Once my items arrived ( a week late, loaded, unloaded and stored in several different storage places ALONG THE WAY - YUK!!!), QUALITY TRUSTED MOVERS LLC - in partnership with CITA VAN LINES, ERNEST MOVING & STORAGE and DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES, tried to (once again) - UP CHARGE ME. They wanted an additional $700 TO GO DOWN A HALLWAY!!! Then upon hearing me REFUSE to pay such a RIDICULOUS FEE - my WONDERFUL/NEW apartment complex allowed me to have them move my items into an apartment that was near where they parked their truck. Thus, avoiding any hallway travel time. They still charged me $75 to walk up a couple of steps - but they NEW THEY WERNT GETTING ANOTHER DIME FROM ME!!! 7. My items arrived UNBOXED, BROKEN, AND DIRTY. - QUALITY TRUSTED MOVERS LLC - in partnership with CITA VAN LINES, ERNEST MOVING & STORAGE and DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES, arrived in NC with NO ONE to help the ONE DRIVER/MOVER - unload the truck! They found a Day Worker - minutes before delivery of my furniture! 8. Every time I tried to ask the driver/mover a question - he'd say, "I don't speak English". Then when I asked him what languages you speak, he said he spoke French. So, when I SPOKE TO HIM IN FRENCH - he looked shocked, turn his head, and didn't say a word! 9. After I finally got my items unloaded, I called the contact # and it was DISCONNECTED! 10. No matter what response DISHONEST DEDICATED VAN LINES makes to my review - DON'T BELIEVE THEM!! RUN!!! The worst company ever!! Mike Levy will lie and say he's not a broker but he is. Will tell you they will only be using their truck and only your stuff on it. Lie! Sold us to Quality Movers last minute. Will give you a day to be delivered and lie bc he has no control over it bc he sells you to another company who then sells you again. Incurred about another $3000 more than his quote!! Will tell you not to pack your stuff bc they will...lie bc so many things didn't get wrapped but got a huge up charge for their so called "packing"...basically everything I own has been broken in some way! Missing items like 2 pieces of my bed and no hardware to be found! Folded my mattress in half and now crushed in the middle. Boxes turned upside down and stuff in them crushed. Bed is missing pieces so can't put together and had to sleep on floor. Ordered new bed so that's another $600! Had he been honest, I would have never gone with Dedicated! Promises after promises! Doesn't respond to texts or calls the day of pick up to discuss the extra $3000 when he said "I'm your personal go to so call me with any issues" and then hides from texts/calls all day when you need him. DO NOT USED DEDICATED VAN LINES THEY ARE A TOTAL SCAM. I hired them to move me from California to Nebraska and my belongs took over a month to arrive. When they did my belongings were either broken, smashed and broken or stolen. Over $11,000 in property is owed to me. I was told Dedicated Van Lines would be taking my belongings the whole way and they were not at all. I was ghosted by them the day I was moving. My very expensive patio furniture was left behind because the moving company that actually picked my belongings up said I was over the weight they were told I had. The company that picked my belongings up conveniently went out of business the day I filed an insurance claim. I contacted Dedicated Van Lines and was given the run around and they would not give me their insurance companies info because they didn't want to have to pay for it. Even tho my contract was with them and no one else. The "supposed" owner Ryan, is a total liar and a scam artist and denies everything. Even though I have it all in my contract and then he ghosted me again. I am disabled and they took all of my money savings and all.
