I was months away from the available date of my new place. Their knowledgeable staff worked with me and the mover to coordinate the delivery to Clark's dock for storage there. This was not a normal move, the original mover transferred my contract to a different mover who then carried my goods around on his truck for weeks before arriving in Chesapeake. Clark's staff supervised the unloading, inspection and repacking of my furniture, providing me with the inspection report and packing list. When I was ready for my delivery, it was scheduled quickly, they arrived on time with three movers who unloaded and set up all my furniture in just a few hours. Everyone at Clark's went out of their way to help me; their pricing was fair, staff at all levels is skilled and courteous, and they work as a team.

I had a $1500 professional Kimball office desk completely smashed and broken. Any extra pieces or parts the employees literally just tossed them into the SEMI instead of putting them in boxes and labeling them. I had to go out and pick up all the smaller little pieces/ furniture parts/ screws/ other odds and ends off the semi floor. Consequently I am missing all types of items ranging from Paddle Board fins to stereo equipment. Now lets talk about delivery... I'm not sure if this company hired a outside 3rd party or not. But I know they paid the workers cash at the end of the day so you know that was properly taxed, all insurance requirements were met and the employees were properly vetted. FUN NOTE... The driver showed up with some random woman who was not affiliated with the company. She was not an employee and had no business being at my house. However, she disappeared into the house for about 1/2 hr I was told to use the restroom while the the truck was being unloaded. I'm not aware of anything in the restroom that takes 1/2 hr. When I asked the driver who she was i.e. wife, girlfriend ect.. he stated it wasn't his wife or girlfriend. I dropped the conversation at that point and I still have no clue who this random woman was that was brought to my house and went in my house un-escorted, un-invited. The off load was supposed to start at 0800. The workers showed up at 1230. Not bad only 4 1/2 hrs late. Well now its hot out. We have nice leather furniture. The workers asked me to supply them with beverages to drink which I thought was very presumptuous. We had water in the house but apparently that wasn't good enough. But worse then that.... The workers were completely coated in sweat as you would expect on a 90+ degree day. I went in the house and found them sitting in our leather furniture completely soaked in sweat. They got up and there was literally pools of body fluids on the furniture. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! Random strangers bodily fluids on my furniture.... So the office was upstairs...we have books and and other office related stuff that needed to be hauled upstairs. So the workers tried their best to hide anything heavy in other locations in the house so they didn't have to haul anything upstairs. They would leave boxes in the garage with the label facing the wall or other locations using the same tactic. Consequently the workers hid boxes, and intentionally put items in locations they were not supposed to be simply because they didn't want to haul them up the stairs. So once the movers left I realized that literally nothing that was heavy was in the location it was supposed to be in. Around 6:30 at night the last box was unloaded from the Semi. The driver then told me that I had to sign the paperwork stating that the driver and crew fully un-packed me and hauled off the boxes. I initially refused to sign the paperwork saying this as it was not true. Nothing was un-packed, nothing was put back together. The beds were in pieces and yet the driver was telling me that I had to sign a paper saying that they had done all this work they clearly did not do. I argued with the driver that it was a lie and they infact had not done any of the before mentioned work. He then stated that he wasn't going to get paid if I didn't and it would be all my fault and he needs to make a living as well ect ect ect... so under duress I signed the papers. End result..... Now I am getting to deal with the insurance companies to "fix"/Replace all of the missing and broken items. This can take upwards of 60 days. So I have a pile of broken furniture and miscellaneous items preventing me from using my garage. Horrible move, horrible experience, I would not recommend this company.

The next day, they called and, as I had requested, gave us 30 minutes advance notice when they were on the way, which was during the time window. For the move, they handled the item carefully and did a great job. (They do larger moves and further distances.) It was great to find someone to handle a small job. I would use them again.

It wasn't a big job, but they were on time and knocked it out in just under an hour. My boyfriend and I couldnt have physically done it (he reinjured some old issues and I'm recovering from multiple hospital visits due to lung issues. These guys saved us and we are forever grateful. We had a tight timeline we needed to meet in order to be out of our apartment by the end of the month and into our new house. There was no way that I could afford a moving company not showing up on the scheduled day. A coworker recommended Fletcher Parker Moving to us and couldn't have spoken more highly of her own experience, so we gave Mr. Parker a call. He called us back immediately and scheduled a time to come over and give us an estimate for our move. We were very pleased with the price range he gave us considering we were living on the third floor of an older Ghent apartment building and that moving involved going through the midtown tunnel to Portsmouth. We set the date and time the day he gave us the estimate and said that we'd touch base a couple days before to make sure everything was still on track and that our timeline hadn't changed. On schedule, he was in touch with us two days prior and confirmed we were all set. The day of the move, his crew showed up right on time. He had a team of about six people and they wasted no time getting straight to work. We had a large apartment and a LOT of stuff and I was amazed how quickly his team began to empty the apartment. They took the time to cover and protect our furniture and I couldn't believe how they knew the best way to load it all into the truck to ensure they had to make the least number of trips possible, which turned out to be only two. His original estimate on timing was that we should plan on an all day move, however after arriving and starting to get to work around 9am, they were completely done and had everything into our new house by 2:30pm. They set up beds, arranged the heavier items exactly where we wanted them, and were super nice and courteous. The best part, aside from not having a sore back, was that the final price was right on point with his estimate. No hidden costs or trying to add on extra due to this or that. We completed our move without anything damaged and their efficiency allowed me to return to our apartment that afternoon to do my final cleaning vs. having to return the following day. It was great having that extra day to start unpacking in our new house and doing the fun part after four weeks of packing hell.

A detailed version of my experience below. Started off on the wrong foot since they were over an hour late. They showed up in a uhaul. Said that all their trucks were in the shop. It was a three man crew. All of them were very nice. However, that is probably the only thing I have positive to say at this point. During the move, they managed to lose/misplace/steal ( who knows?!) 1 small bookcase, two shelves to a bookcase and a box that contained jewelry and other items. Also have a desk that will not make another move and a sofa table that is now wobbly. Granted, the jewelry is of no monetary value but has great sentimental value. There was damage to a $300 tv stand. Damage to the walls. At one point I had to ask them to be more careful and even showed them the damage they were inflecting on my belongings. Once the truck was full and they got to point b, I showed them were everything needed to be moved to. They all smelled of marijuana. Which isn't a big deal, but now their once relatively quick pace became a snails pace. I had to ask them to leave my stuff on the street to go make a second trip bc they were taking forever! We were told they would be able to disassemble furniture if needed. They couldn't get one of the beds apart but my 120lbs sister was able to do it, no problem. They took apart my bed but it's been at least a month and I still don't have the screws to my bed that they took out. They had no pads or any equipment with them. They had to use my tools to take apart the furniture. They didn't even have water!! It was in June and they were asking me for water bc they had nothing to drink!! We've been emailing the owner/manager about being reimbursed for the damage and missing items and have been told they have to "investigate" and it could take up to 60 days. Smh ridiculous. So disappointed in the customer service. If they address the issues accordingly I'll update my review otherwise, do not hire these ppl! Yes mam, you definitely moved us. The furniture was solidly built and heavy to move, but they used the proper equipment, manpower, and care to see my things were delivered safely and without a scratch. The family I purchased from was worried about possible damage from a truck backing onto their lawn. No problem there either.
