They shot our wedding at Scribner Bend, and when we looked through the list of recommended photographers we were immediately drawn to their striking and beautiful photos. Better yet, once we got to know them, we found them to be so personable and truly caring about us and our wedding. They didn't force a formula on us, but still made really helpful suggestions that worked for what we were trying to achieve. First of all, they immediately made us feel comfortable. We had never taken photos like engagement pictures before and they made it so easy. The pictures were STUNNING!!! I cannot stress this enough... stunning. they got the pictures back to us so fast I couldn't believe it. We had teasers next day, and when I say teasers I mean at least 50 pictures. For our wedding it was even better. on the actual day I don't know what I would have done without them. they kept our schedule on time, they were prepared for anything, they keep us smiling, they keep it light, and they make sure we had a day we'd never forget. and then they took the most AMAZING pictures. Dee & Kris are not only AMAZING photographers but such amazing people. We actually found them here on Yelp and could not have gotten luckier, we loved them as soon as we met them and after interviewing multiple photographers as soon as we met them we booked them! We kept saying we enjoyed them so much right off the bat we felt like we were old friends! Both our engagement session and our wedding went perfectly, despite crazy weather and some rain for both, and our photos were everything we wanted and more! After 6 months we still look at our photos on a regular basis. D&K went above and beyond in every way to make sure everything was perfect, kept our day on track even with small delays here and there due to weather and no one even noticed! Not only did they get incredible photos of us and our wedding party, but such great photos of all our guests as well which we love looking back on since that night went by like a blink! Dee & Kris are seriously the best of the best in the field of wedding photography, as well as, engagement photography. We were referred to them by our dear friends and are eternally grateful for finding them so early on in our engagement. We were blown away how our engagement photos turned out building the suspense to see how the big wedding day photos would be. Before we knew it the week of the wedding arrived. They took the extra time upfront to meeting with us to go over the pre-wedding questionnaire. This was extremely helpful as it ensured Dee & Kris and us were aligned on what was important to capture on the big day. For example, must have shots, family portraits, timelines, etc. On the big day they were early, immediately jumped into action capturing the bridal party getting ready and all the small detail shots that could easily go unforgotten. Another important thing I must emphasize is how nurturing of a presence they have. When nerves were running high Kris especially knows how to step in and help. She has her nifty wedding day bag she carry's with everything imaginable in it that would be of need on the big day (scissors, safety pins, tape, and so much more). Not only are you hiring photographers to capture the day, but they take their services to the next level! Fast forward to the week following the wedding we received our teasers loaded into the website. I am so so happy to finally do an update on my review. I have had the pleasure of hiring Dee and Kris for my wedding last month and wow. When I say they go above and beyond, I sincerely mean that. I had so much going on (on top of wedding stuff) and Kris organized me and kept me level headed during the days leading up to it. The day of, Dee and Kris arrived on time and executed perfectly. Mind you, I am extremely awkward and not the best with photos, but Dee was patient with me and gave me cues to follow. Kris kept the conversation fun and relaxing. My mom fell in love with them both. At the venue (I was totally bummed that the weather was pouring) but they both totally made it work. The lighting ended up looking phenomenal thanks to both their expertise. At one point, when we were taking first look pictures, one of the furniture pieces was draining water onto the floor - and Kris immediately took care of it; she also whisked guests away when I wanted to remain a partial surprise for guests... I just can't express how meaningful it is to have two people really care about you and the art. I almost wish I could spend more time with them - but it being the wedding, we had to press on. During the party my dress bustling was stepped on and ripped. Without even hesitation, Kris was on the floor fixing it for me. I didn't have a care in the world and they were absolutely instrumental in making me day a success. They are worth every dime and really deliver exceptional work. Within a few days post wedding - I already had my teasers (OVER 35 PICS) and they even let me share them. How can you even top that?! They were completely swoon worthy. In all of them, I could barely recognize myself as I look like a vogue model. A confident vogue model - with no awkwardness - So thank you both for that. Lastly, the customer service that really really sets them apart, and makes you feel like you're part of the family is the readiness to respond; what do I mean by this? Well, my family in law flew from across the states and made it to the wedding - but shortly after returning home, we found out his grandmother was sick. I messaged Dee and Kris if they had any photos of her / us with her so we may have them in time while she is still with us, and they delivered by the next day. I can't express fully how much that meant to our family. I wish I could get married again and have the opportunity to work with them - I suppose their are maternity shoots! But alas, You will not regret Dee and Kris. They are two phenomenal human beings that emulate the family mentality. They are kind, patient, and hilarious. My wife and I got married this September and we had an extremely difficult location, huge group, non-traditional timeline, and a lot of other corky little things. I interviewed with two other photographers before selecting them and we selected them because of their overall personalities, experience and knowledge, and their great products. They are an energetic couple that is fun to work with and does a great job. They did our engagement photos which got us used to being in front of the camera and produced some amazing photos. Leading up to the wedding they were well prepared, have a great online resource, and asked all the right questions in preparation for the Big Day. Lastly, they were wonderful during the entire event, even when demands were made and stress levels were higher. The best part is you get your "Teaser" photos like two days after the wedding!! I have worked with Dee & Kris twice. They are able to capture people's personalities like no photographers I've ever seen. It's like magic! Dee & Kris were the photographers for a wedding I was in about 4 years ago. We had so much fun! When I saw the final product- wow! I had no idea I could look that beautiful. I wanted to write this review the day after our wedding - before even getting our pictures - because I simply fell in love immediately with Dee and Kris. Still, I waited, and we saw our pictures last night...and I do not know if I will be able to find the words to express how amazing Dee and Kris are as photographers (and people). This is not just about the finished product (which is what you are mainly focused on - getting amazing wedding pictures to share and put on your walls and albums and glance back at for the rest of your life), but on top of their work, you will be blown away by their professionalism, communication, genuine love of their craft, and their ability to make you feel so comfortable in front of the camera. If you are like me, having pictures taken of you all day does not exactly come naturally. Dee and Kris have this ability of keeping your mood light -which can easily turn stressful on your wedding day! - and continually keeping you present in the moment - smile, take it all in, laugh, cry - it is going to be one of the best days of your life! They captured every moment perfectly and beautifully. I scrolled through the pictures over and over reliving the day. I cannot recommend Dee and Kris enough and on every level possible. We hired Dee & Kris to be our wedding photographers and to take our engagement photos and we could not be happier with our decision! We first discovered them at a friend's wedding just after we got engaged. The minute we first met with Kristina to talk about our wedding, we knew that we wanted Dee & Kris to shoot our wedding. For our engagement photos, we met them in San Francisco at a great spot that they recommended. The pictures turned out amazing! In additon to that, we were blown away that they not only drove all the way to SF and back that day for us, but also went hours longer than we expected (in a very good way!). One thing that really stands out about Dee & Kris beyond their talented photo taking abilities is their communication. They really took the time to get to know us and everything there was to know about our wedding. They made us feel so comfortable and we knew we were in great hands. They asked all the right questions and gave fantastic suggestions. The actual day of the wedding was perfect. Dee and Kris were there all day with us from the first look before the ceremony all the way till the end when they captured some great shots of the sparkler exit. They were so organized and everything went exactly as planned. Despite there being some difficult family dynamics going on, you would have never known because of the way Dee & Kris handled everything. On top of all of this, our wedding was on a Friday night and out of town. They had another wedding to shoot the following day and we still received a teaser package that included well over 200 pictures by the end of the weekend. Dee and Kris took my headshots for me back in January and they turned out fabulous! I felt like they really took the time to help me figure out my look and captured such wonderful moments to help my personality come across on camera.
