Dee is the absolute best. She made my baby's 1st Birthday truly special. I was planning my Baby Shark themed birthday from another city and she absolutely nailed it. All I had to do was have a few conversations with her and after that I didn't have to worry about a thing. The decorations were custom made. We had an under the sea balloon arch, a gorgeous dessert bar with a baby shark cake, a pink fong dog piñata, custom centerpieces, and the most delicious (and cute) cookie favors. Dee even had a baby shark, mommy shark, daddy shark, and grandma and grandpa shark made. She even came up with the idea of putting a fishing game on each table which the kids loved! Dee and her assistant stayed for the whole party. They coordinated the baby shark dance, took awesome pictures, oversaw the meal service and the DJ, timed the whole event, offered to load up the gifts and cleaned up after the event. I was just so grateful and amazed. You can tell after any conversation with Dee that she is very passionate about her job and a true professional. She is creative and detail oriented. Not knowing what I wanted and how I wanted things designed, she began giving me ideas. I finally picked a theme with some pictures and this is where Dee's magic came in. We had set out to look for a coordinator, however, during our research we found that they really only come in and assist a month prior to the wedding and day of. The assistance was also quite limited with xx number of meetings for set times, and most of what they would do was confirm vendors and ensure logistics and timeline were followed day of. When we put together a pros and cons list of hiring a coordinator or hiring a planner, we decided to go with a planner. It was important to us that no one in our family or none of our guests would lift a finger to help. They would show up and enjoy the day with us. You know the movie 27 Dresses? Well, that was me. I have been a part of my fair share of weddings and while they are lovely, they are also tiring when you are tasked to help with everything. I understand that planning for a planner (hehe) requires budgeting, but when you think of your day, keep in mind the people involved, and most importantly, yourselves! I have seen brides and grooms argue, stress and panic over DIY details, and unfortunately that gets passed on to the family members and guests. So then came Dee Lee. She came highly recommended, and after our first phone call, I knew she was the one. I just knew, and I had spoken with about 6 other planners at this point. The call lasted an hour and not once did she rush me off the phone or make me feel like I was not a priority - and I was not even her bride yet! The passion and commitment from her confirmed my feeling that she was going to do everything to give us the day we wanted. And she did that, and then some (insert tears streaming down my face). My husband and I showed up that day and did not have to worry about a thing. No one in our family helped set up anything. Instead, Dee and her team helped all of us get ready, zip up dresses, fix hair, get our pad (lol) whatever it was - they handled it. In our initial chats, Dee interviewed my husband and I to see what we wanted out of the day, what do we envision, and what was important to us. Everything, and I mean everything we listed, Dee and her team delivered. We look back on the day a lot and honestly cannot pick something that did not go as planned. I know things happen and the day is not perfect (Dee was honest about that too, so she is not all clouds and roses, she gives it to you real), but we honestly cannot think of anything because Dee and her team managed it all so well that we were never bothered with it. We were not stressed, we did not argue or get angry at each other for some detail forgotten, we did not put anyone to work. In fact, my family and friends raved about how they just showed up and had fun. I literally can write an essay on all the things Dee and her team did for us that day. If you are looking for a planner - hire Dee. The cost will be worth it when you look back on your day and can't find anything wrong because whatever did go wrong was taken care of by Dee and her team. I was also a COVID bride and it is stressful! Dee took so many late-night calls of me panicking, us changing things, verbiage for invites, everything! Dee was there for us and held our hand through it all. We are so thankful and appreciative for Dee and her wonderful team! She is now a forever friend. I really didn't want to write this review but I was extremely disappointed with the service. I was so highly recommended from a coworker and was super excited when I heard she works with our budget. But in reality, it was not the case. Dee was super sweet but put me off was when she kept selling herself to me. I was excited but I realized not once she asked about me or what I want for our wedding. My fiance and I contacted her and things were going well. But I recently had medical problems and asked her if we can do partial PLANNING instead of the full. I was already grateful that she gave us a discount but medical bills were high as well and not to mention I have a 5 year old daughter. But I don't know if it was a miscommunication but she lowered her price (which I did not ask for) and told me we would be jepordizing her and her other partners pay as well. I DID NOT want that. All I wanted was partial planning, which was advertised on her website. She told my fiance "no" because of a bad experience with another client and she only gave us the lower price because of my connection with her friend. Which honestly sounded rude. She also told me our budget is NOT realistic enough assumed that our vendors weren't going to be liscense (which they are). I felt so sad and disappointed. After no emails or anything from her, I found someone else who worked with our budget and helped us a lot along the way and offered partial planning. She is very kind and understanding of our situation as well. Dee does beautiful weddings but if you're looking to stay within budget or looking for partial planning, I suggest looking elsewhere or messege her to see if she now provides it. I honestly think she should just call her self a LUXURY wedding planner because I think she's looking for people who spends over $30k for their events. As an out of state bride, I should have known better that I need a wedding planner before we even look for a wedding venue. I hired Dee after i decided to book skylinks at Long Beach Golf Course based on the pictures I saw online. When I went there in person to check out the venue in person, I was super disappointed and almost cried! The venue was so different from the pictures they presented online. Dee was there with me. She used her network and helped me found a much better looking wedding venue very soon. She understood we lost our deposit from Skylinks wedding venue so she helped us to save as much money as possible. I had a chance to work with Dee just about a month ago as one of our clients, who rented our venue (indoor play place) to have her niece's first birthday party, needed a planner to handle EVERYTHING about the party. Dee took great care of my client and has gone above and beyond, not just for them, but for us as a venue as well. The floors at my indoor play space is foam type material and the type of chairs that the client required will puncture holes on the floors, which cannot be placed directly onto the floors. Dee acknowledged my concerns and had found a great solution by bringing in a big turf (which totally goes with the beautiful whimsical hot air balloon theme) to lay on the floors. I learned that she did this out of her own expense. This, to me, shows that she really cares about all her clients, venues and all her teams/vendors that she works with.
