I had to seek another groomer. Unfortunately, the new groomer was in a camper with her own pets (maybe had fleas?) after grooming my pups had a bad case of fleas. Tried to treat them but they both had bad reactions to the treatment involving in one of them passing. Absolutely heartbroken! The top things we look for when continuing to use a groomer is, low stress, not disoriented, ( believe it or not, a place in Bakersfield, gave our dog back as if she was given medication to calm her, without asking or informing us) NOT the case with Dee!! Other things we look at are, Obvious and obsessive cuts on the body, good nail clipping and filling, timing. And over all when your dog comes back to you happy and energetic, it makes it all worth it. Dee was also great to communicate with. She responded quick and a beautiful attitude once we met. I have two small dogs, one short hair dachshund mix, and a long hair shi-tzu mix. They are not used to getting groomed by others because I took care of their grooming needs, and they haven't had the best experience when we have taken them in for grooming. My shi-tzu mix is very nervous and anxious and has been known to nip when she feels cornered. When Deana came to groom them, I explained this to her and she reassured me that she has plenty of experience handling dogs like mine and gave me peace of mind that she is in good hands. I just had my dog groomed at Dee-Tails for the first time. It was recommended to me by a previous groomer that moved out of the area. She did a wonderful job on my 8 year old Shih Tzu Jenny, I asked for a short body, teddy bear face, with long ears and tail. She did exactly that in a very timely manner. I could tell my dog liked her too because when she was done she wasn't shaking or trying to run away; as she has done with another groomer in town that I had taken her for years until I finally figured out my dog was terrified of her. I've been using Deanna and her assistant for over a year now. They are extremely professional and in my opinion the best groomer I've ever used. I have trust issues, especially with my babies (Dogs). They put my mind at ease every time they groom my dogs. I have an all White male German Shepherd and a female Rottweiler. My shepherd loves Deanna. And he loves getting groomed by her. He comes out bright white and smells fresh, teeth brushed, and his nails perfectly trimmed. My Rotti is very nervous still, but Deanna handles her perfectly. Deanna is the best! We trust her 100% with our dogs. What's better then having your dogs in your front yard and always in view? Nothing!!! In years past we had brought our dogs to groomers who kept them in cages with blowdryers in their faces while they shivered and waited for their turn. They would be mortified and quivering as soon as we walked through the door. We couldn't help but think there had to be a better way, and then we met Deanna. Our dogs are cared for with patience and one at a time. They are never locked in a cage or left shivering and scared. We scheduled an appointment one month in advance & the appointment was the same day as one of our neighbors. Two days before the appointment, Deanna called, said she had to cancel because she needed to have her generator serviced. When we tried to reschedule, The only opening she had was the same day our neighbors rescheduled their appointment which did not work with our schedule. When she was pressed more, she finally admitted it was not advantages for her to come to our side of town. Apparently, our neighbors had to cancel their appointment so it was not worth her time to drive across town to groom our two dogs even though she included a "fuel charge" in her fee. read more

So impressed! She worked with my schedule and having to change the location she came to because we are in the process of moving and she did it with no problem. My poor maltipoo was so matted and desperately needed to be shaved. I made the mistake of giving him a bath which I later found out was probably the worst thing to do and made it worse but she took him with open arms and made him brand new again! He looks so cute!!!
