Bright was the morning and high my heart when i set forth to fight the Mad Mold Monster, where events eventually eventuated as I shall now sing. Always anxiously alliterating with world weary wisdom and surprisingly superior sagacity I strove to complete this outrageously odiferous odyssey. Classic Restoration accompanied me on this quest. With Guido's gifted guiding and Karoline's Cagey calculating the Mad Mold Monster was defeated. Now since my furiously flying fingers are suffering from calamitous catastrophic cramp I will veto vociferous vocabulary and tell the tale. Whew! Sagas are hard work! My dishwasher leaked water and it got underneath my floor. Before replacing the floor I was told I need mold remediation. I hired a company to do mold testing and the results were positive for mold spores and a protocol was written. I got estimates from several companies that specialize in mold remediation and was dismayed at the various prices I was quoted. These ranged from $8,000 - $14,000 dollars since it would require tearing out and replacing walls and cabinets. Guido from Classic Restoration to the rescue! Guido informed me that before tearing apart my condo, I should have the flooring in the affected area removed to see exactly what the damage was. This made sense to me and Classic Restoration got the job. After removing the floor Guido determined that HEPA air cleaning, bacteria wipe down of the whole condo, and Bacteria bombing should solve the problem. The cost for these services came to $2,650! This is 1/3 of the lowest price quoted me by the other companies. I cannot thank Guido (& Karoline) enough for their honesty, hard work, and fair prices!

If paneling is replaced, it also needs to be painted. You're saying that that's considered "extra?" Give me a break. Replacing boards, caulking and sanding require painting to finish the job. You thought it would be a good idea to match the rest of the walls? Are you serious? Painting the paneling was part of the job! Oh my gosh. And yes, my property management company was well aware of this. You told me you needed the caulk to dry and would finish the job in the next day or two. Never returned. I never asked for the window frame to be fixed. You told me it was an issue and honestly all I wanted was the paneling replaced and painted. You arrived way later than scheduled that day (thankfully I was still home when you arrived that day) and as for my mom's number...yes, you do have that because she is the lease holder so all business is navigated through her before me. Before this visit, she let me know every single time you contacted her and I scheduled accordingly, so stop the false information. She also told me SHE had to reach out to you because you pulled a disappearing act and wouldn't answer your phones and when you finally did, you made excuse after excuse. You told her you were moving and got busy. You NEVER once tried to reschedule a visit. I never said you could stay that late, but I didn't think I had much choice since you were late arriving for the job and it had to be finished. What was I supposed to do, kick you out before the job was completed? I guess the jokes on me now. The fascia was supposed to be replaced and (guess what?) painted, but you somehow managed to get the paint color completely wrong. All you had to do was bring in a paint chip to Lowe's/Home Depot. You painted a brown/gray fascia stark white. Not sure how you managed to do that. You can make these outrageous excuses all you want, but you know darn well what you did wrong. You also used my children's bathroom which is unprofessional. Didn't come prepared. Left a mess in my front yard. A garbage bag full of rotted wood laying on my back patio. A caulking gun, dirty towels and paint scrapers laying in my grass (which I stepped on, as mentioned). And there is dried spackle/caulk/whatever it is dripping off my walls and door frame and is all over my floor. You also unscrewed nails that you left exposed, sticking out of my walls. You moved none of my furniture back, didn't clean anything up and lost the screws for my outlet cover. Why do you think I'd want you to return? I certainly will not recommend you to anyone and will be sure to let people in the area know how yall did me dirty. I'm not stupid and I don't appreciate being lied about. They're skillful, thorough, competitively priced, and make customer care the most important part of the process. Showalter went above-and-beyond in helping my parents after Hurricane Michael in October 2018. They are fully licensed and insured to accomplish every task, and have earned the trust and confidence of everyone in our family. They're transparent with every task and provide realistic expectations so there are no surprises (remidiation, restoration, permits, gov't inspections, etc). We did multiple searches for help all around the region. We looked at price, location, reviews, specialty, and Showalter was consistently near the top of every search. We contacted a few companies for estimates for the dry-out / saturation mitigation, demo, roof work, and reconstruction, and Showalter was the only company that had all the right credentials for every part of the restoration. They're the only ones that were available in a reasonable time, and they were clear about their techniques and their limitations. Robert arrived to assess the damage to the house & property a couple days after we called them. He impressed us by communicating consistently and answering ALL our questions over the span of many hours including a conference telephone call with family and contractor friends. Though he had other clients, he made my parents and our whole family, feel like we were his only concern. He literally sat in the backyard fielding every question as if we were his only client. Robert took the time to explain the whole claims process from start to finish in terms that every could understand. He explained how his services are applied within that whole process, and the details that are rarely discussed like the mental stress my parents should expect to face at times. Only after he was sure we understood the concept of each step did he discuss the finances of the process. Robert was not pushy, rather he was realistic with the payment of the project as another step in the process. His goal was obvious; to ensure my parents understood the operation as a whole and ensured he had their trust and comfort with the process regardless of whomever did the work. He spoke on a peronal level and identified evidence-based results and experiential moments, he never insulted their competition or make any sort of derogatory remarks about anybody. After a traumatic event like this hurricane, Robert Showalter's assessment proved to be as therapeutic for my parents as his work is efficient. Showalter and his team made a great effort to communicate and provide rational and reasonable expectations. There were no surprises; some of the matters that arose were already discussed as possibilities (sea wall, pipes, etc). The entire crew Showalter brings are some of the most professional people I've ever encountered. Their team worked so competently & diligently that the process seemed to be quicker than previously imagined, which is great because the sooner the house is fixed the better! Other companies were vague or ambiguous with their process and pricing, and public records now show many of those companies were simply a shady practice wishing to steal people's money in a time or crisis. The Showalter Team is transparent; everything they communicated has been proven true, and they were honest every step of the way.

Once again, we are giving Showalter five stars, but this time for their work in bringing our home back to life. Truly a team effort, Thea was diligent in working to secure the funds from the insurance company to start the work. Robert listened to our requests, answered all of our questions and set realistic expectations for the job. We were after a very specific flooring, an extra long plank LVP in a very specific tone, and Carrie delivered on locating the perfect product for our home. Upon arrival and throughout the duration of the job, Victor and his team were professional and exact in their work. Not only did they deliver an incredible final product, but Victor, Juan, Jeremiah and James were polite and patient with our family and dog as we in and out of their workspace. Everyone who comes in our home mentions how incredible everything looks. This team did not cut a single corner and worked to make every last piece of flooring, baseboard and trim they installed look complete and pristine. It is a testament to the standards this company holds. When Robert said he would work to make our house whole again, he truly meant it. Not a day goes by when we don't take a moment to look at our home and feel thanks for Robert and his team.
