Ask the Community - Deep River Customs

Hello. Wondering what the estimated cost and turnaround for drilling and tapping a stainless pistol upper for a rear sight? Two holes, I will supply the sight, screws, and receiver. Thanks!

$45 per hole. Up to 4 weeks.

What's your turn around time on a Staccato 2011 trigger change?

It depends on what we have ahead of you when you bring the gun in. A week, maybe less.

I have a 25 combat pistol. It was built in 1926 in Czechoslovakia for Germany. Made by F. Dusek. This gun has not been fired or cleaned in 45 years. Would you be interested in restoring it and if so what would be the cost?

You need to bring it into the shop so that we can see exactly what needs to be done so that we can estimate the cost of restoration.

They were nice to me. They were very helpful. I think his name is Mike. He showed me where to sign in and told me their process. He made it easy for me to understand lol Then I had issues with my new firearm and asked him for help. The three men and the lady who work there were very helpful. I could go to Reload in Tarpon Springs which is more modern but they make you jump through hoops now for pistols after the suicide incident in 2016. I usually go to Shooting Sports in Tampa but they have become very crowded/busy in the last few years which is a good thing. I like Firing Line. You sign in, pay, go in. They do watch you and others while you're on the range. I plan to return again.

We have been to this facility multiple times in the past with absolutely no issues. In fact, the gentleman at the counter has always had zero issues with our dog every single time we have visited. However, during this latest visit, the owners deliberately kicked us out of the building, despite our dog being a fully trained service animal. Our dog was perfectly behaved, wearing proper eye shields and hearing protection headphones, and was simply laying down minding his own business on the line. Ironically, their own website proudly features a dog wearing headphones and glasses, yet they refused to allow a trained service dog wearing the exact same protective gear to remain in the building.Denying entry and removing a legitimate, tasking service dog is a direct violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and is incredibly discriminatory. To be targeted and forced to leave after multiple hassle-free visits is completely unacceptable. We hope management takes the time to properly educate themselves on federal ADA regulations regarding service animals to ensure no other patron is subjected to this unlawful and degrading experience. We will not be returning unless this matter is resolved.

I did some research on different manufacturers of this type (.308 caliber). My budget and research lead me to Adams arms. I bought this firearm and decked it out with new optics, forward grips, steal sights, sling, two stage trigger and a bipod. I means this was ready to rock and roll. Sad to say that I've had to send this piece of trash back to them five times. With numerous types engineering failures. From the forward coming all the way off after three rounds. Numerous failures to extract. Leaving the cartridge stuck inside the barrel and having to ram it out. Multiple extractors broken. Buffer tube issues, suppressor issues (gun won't cycle correctly on any setting). The last time I sent it in they mentioned in the email it required a new barrel, new gas block, bolt carrier group, new upper, and piston system and some other things. Are you kidding me. Why didn't you just replace the whole thing. I have never taking the AR 10 apart outside of cleaning it and basics maintenance. It really shows how poor and horrible this product is. Stay away from ADAMS ARMS FIREARMS Five times in 2 years for you to work on it. That's like a year in your repair shop. Lol And after what I would consider to be a complete overhaul and rebuild. I went and shot five rounds through it after getting it back and the forward came off yet again. You failed to tighten and install specific hardware to the forward. How safe do I feel. Smh You had it for three months this last time. I think it's time to get rid of this useless item and buy something reliable. Like a POF. THEY ARE NICE. let's do that. Here are some pics of it new and some of the missing hardware ect. I could show you the new one that replaced it but. That's for a different review. All in all. Don't buy from them. Save your money and buy something better. You will thank yourself later. I know I have.

Everything had blemishes and even rust and it was suppose to be all new unblemished.. they made no attempt to make it right and the return process took damn near a month. Horrible customer service and zero initiative to take care of customers. Had to file a claim on the credit card company to get my money back even after they said they processed the return. Do yourself a favor and order a primary weapons system piston rifle . They're better builds anyways. And they won't leave you holding the bag when something goes wrong.
